  1. ha.....you sure like that comb..i won't let you down next time thanks Mick*
  2. This patient recently sent us his before and after pic. I thought I would share them with you as well as this email "blurb" about his experience: (Everything is going great. I continue to be thrilled by my choice to enlist Dr. True and his services. Having had the procedure at 26, I am now 28 and look like a youthful handsome capable 28, as opposed to looking 40. Choosing to have the procedure at an early stage in my impending baldness has given me back my youth. As well, I am so happy the Dr. convinced me to start on Propecia to maintain my apperance. There is really nothing I can say to explain how dramatically this physical change has affected the framing of my face, and the extent to which women my own age have found me attractive. The confidence boost in never having to worry whether "she thinks I look like an old man" has been priceless. Young men like myself should know they arent stuck with the cruel hand nature may have dealt them with respect to hair loss!) I hope to update this post with in office photos at some stage.
  3. christine.....this patient is well on his way to a more natural restoration - looks much better....i notice the grafts from the previous treatments sit in front of the hairline that you have recreated....curious what Dr. Arocha's plan is for those - i guess the patient could try electrolysis as i would think removing those could lend to some subtle but visible scarring in what is a very exposed area.
  4. TC, bullit, robin.....appreciate your comments.... robin to clarify the patient actually had 4 sessions altogether...cheers*
  5. These are recent photos 11 months after 611 FUE session to tweak specfic areas within the hairline zone. In particular, Dr. True added density in the central forelock and blunted the corners. 311 singles and 280 doubles make up the fu's. Below is the link to the initial thread: http://hair-restoration-info.c...=638102402#638102402
  6. mick......should be a big change given his current pattern, the design really suits the patient.
  7. thanks mick...future.....it was a signifcant transformation for this patient, he may consider another step to tweak some areas but the core change in his appearance has happened with the first FUT
  8. For this patient in his mid 30's, Dr. Dorin did one FUT session of 1156 follicular units consisting of 367 singles and 789 doubles - a total of 1945 hairs.
  9. hi VH......the New York City location is our surgical center
  10. chrisitne..definitely see uniformity and density developing in the front...nice change for 5 months*
  11. hey MTD...i personally would agree that by most standards this is a person very blessed in the hair department but as you know different strokes for different folks...the fact that the patient was already in his early 40's with no signs of thinning beyond his hairline zone, the drs. felt that hairline restoration was reasonable and not short sighted....if he was in his early 20's would be a whole different story.
  12. thanks mick-christine-azn...hes definitely stoked with this first step. Dr. D did discuss another 1700 or so to tweak some things but its been a huge change for the patient already
  13. hi HTHelp......i just recently posted FUE work by Dr. Dorin...definitely more to come...thanks for your comment*
  14. This patient presented himself to Dr. Dorin with a Norwood class 5A - 6 pattern. Dr. Dorin performed an FUT consisting of 2441 grafts, of which 1061 were singles and 1380 were doubles - a total of 3821 hairs transplanted.
  15. In 2007, this patient presented to Dr. True in his early 40's with hairline erosion. His primary goal was to be able to have treatment and be able to return to work without a hitch. This called for scaling back a bit on the size and scope of the first session to allow for this transition. The initial FUT of 620 follicular units consisted of 285 singles, 394 doubles, and 16 threes - 1,121 hairs. In 2009, having done this inconsipcuosly and pleased with the result, he proceeded with a second step, choosing to do FUE with Dr. Dorin. This session amounted to 771 grafts, adding additional density and a slight lowering of the hairline level. Of these, 322 were singles and 449 doubles ??“ a total of 1220 hairs transplanted. This FUE result is after 9 months.
  16. thanks Mick....i hope this a good example for prospective patients who want restoration but would like to do so without announcing it to the world that they had something done...probably a high percentage of transplant patients are hoping to do this with some discretion, although some are certainly more open than others
  17. This patient had specific and conservative hair restoration goals in meeting with Dr. True in 2007. As an executive in a very visible position, he wanted to have meaningful transformation but do so in a way that didn't deviate from his current receded hairline and that would achieve moderate density that would be natural and appropriate in relation to his balding pattern. 3,693 follicular units were transplanted with emphasis on the front & top, with some selective allocation to the vertex. Of those grafts, 1324 were singles, 2234 doubles, and 135 threes. Although his donor supply would allow further treatment or a lower hairline, this restoration accomplished all that he was seeking.
