  1. thanks PGP......well my guess is he's enjoying his new hair...he said he actually wears it shorter for business engagements.
  2. wish you could see the smile on his face....gave Dr. Dorin a big bear hug when he came in...great to to see the change it made for him
  3. Patient presented to Dr. Dorin with a result from a procedure using old technology. His hair line was very pluggy, making it difficult to style let alone conceal. What a difference a year makes! With 1630 follicular units (597 singles, 1028 doubles, 5 threes) there has been a great transformation in density and naturalness. The patient is very comfortable with his current situation, no futher treatment planned for now. Propecia is being used for vertex.
  4. thanks Bill....its only 6 months so we'll reevaluate at 12 months to see
  5. john....thanks for the comment, i wouldn't classify almost 3300 grafts as a low graft count but I do agree the next 6 months is typically when the treatment is fully developed. i'll provide an update at that time.
  6. looks like a pretty decent change, looks like the scalp pigment is retaining some redness, do you use rogaine on that area? the hair texture will improve
  7. Dr. Konior....impressive result, i like the density of course but the naturalness really stands out...well done
  8. Mick....im sure this patient is pleased with the overall effect of the initial procedure, how many grafts was the second step?
  9. sorry about your experience...there are a lot of doctors on here that do very good repair work if you choose to go that route
  10. you're in good hands my friend...6th time will be the charm
  11. your welcome Bill.....yes gettting a hair transplant is definitely not a quick fix but worth the wait as I think you would agree..the changes that will happen after this stage are a "smoothing" of the hair texture, hair with length that can be styled, a layering affect that will creat volume, addtional emergence of hairs particularly in the top/vertex which typically can be delayed compared to the front.
  12. This patient's treatment is developing nicely, just rounded the 6 month corner....do not have post-op photos but the design was a focus on front and top region with transition into the vertex. Specs: *3268 fu's - 1268 singles, 1939 doubles, 61 threes - 5329 hairs transplanted *Donor strip: 30 cm x 1.3 cm * @82 fu's/cm2 *heavy medium texture
  13. always great to see high quality female results...she looks to have nice density with just the one step...looking good J
  14. watch out it might get deleted
  15. possible issues...sweating profusely can potentially dislodge the grafts....if she likes to pull your hair could be an issue...extra tension on the closure is never good...could hit your head on the bedpost...with this said, its been done and im still alive, hair looking better than ever so proceed with caution but if you have to proceed proceed..its only natural lol
  16. hi fhg.......i would say about 1400 - 2000 depending on hairline position, how densely packed the forelock would be (hard to see how thin it is) and possible temple work
  17. Patient just came in for his 4 months follow-up. I think its valuable for patients/prospectives to see what it looks like in the early stages. I find this to be a common question in consultation. Generally new hair growth can happen anywhere from 2 weeks to sometimes 6 months but usually around 4 - 5 months you start to see the pattern present itself. This treatment is just starting to develop but an auspicious start. Will update after another 4- 6 months. Rogaine started in the vertex at same time as the procedure. Specs: - 2860 Follicular units placed - 1267 singles, 1569 doubles, 24 threes - 4474 hairs transplanted Donor density: 73 fu/cm2 Strip size: 30 cm x 1/3 cm Medium body hair texture
  18. wow....huge treatment...this guy will be stoked, hairline design looks right on the mark
  19. hey guys....this is a common concern from patients...it is as Bill mentioned signs of activity, often hair curling beneath the skin trying to make its way out....these "pimples" generally resolve themselves so try to not manipulate them...you may want to use a warm compress to faciliate opening of the pores. The first few months can be awkward and trying but it is temporary.. hang in there
