  1. I had all plugs removed and was fine for several years. As hair started to thin more over the years, I went for the HT. Tough decision for you. Continue your careful research. Best of luck, BaltoBill. For additional information and pictures, if interested, go to hair loss web site new2thissite.
  2. Megatron--- Thanks for responding to my post. I apologize for the delay in getting back. You are correct with your assumption. I am pleased with the results. Yes, I am a late grower. I think that my previous work (transplant and removal) and resulting scars may have contributed to the delay. Another factor may be that I also had some coverage on the crown. This may sound odd considering the time frame, but I am still seeing improvement. Thanks, again, for your comments.
  3. Just added couple pictures to my blog. By the way, as a side topic, Amazon was selling Rogaine 3 pack for little over $30.00 if you have it sent automatically every 3 months. Little higher price if you don't.
  4. hear_me_out Thanks for taking the time to respond and your comments. I appreciate it. I looked at your blog. Looks excellent. Julius Thanks for responding. I appreciate it. Bill Thanks for responding and your support throughout the procedure. Your progress looks very good. Rapheal84 Thanks for taking the time to respond. Best of luck in March. Dr. Rahal does great work. Aaron1234 It is nice to hear from you again. I think your procedure is coming in very good. Dr. Shapiro does great work. In terms of additional pictures, I added several. Generally, I go into detail of the pictures I post but did not the last time. So here goes. I have tried to be consistent in locations throughout the transition so progress can be measured in consistent environments. I generally have included pictures outside and inside. As you may note from previous updates, I have struggled the most at work where I am in a new building with fluorescent lights. So, the pictures I first posted on my one year update included one from work (the first one) and four in bathroom under bright lights. The additional five pictures I posted today include three from work, one outside on the front porch (windy) and two in the car with the sun roof open. These are the locations I included in previous updates. I am pleased with the results. I think I set realistic expectations and goals. In terms of goals, I wanted an age appropriate result (mid fifties), a subtle yet significant transformation, and a natural appearance. Aaron1234, I hope this additional information and pictures help. Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks, again, to all of you for taking the time to respond and for your supportive comments.
  5. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday. Last updated my blog at 8 months. Just posted one year photos.
  6. Bill, Thanks for the update. Looks very good to me, particularly considering the time frame. I agree with what you said. There is some give and take, but your gain will be much greater.
  7. hairjordan, This looks good. Look forward to seeing your final results.
  8. Sparse- Like everyone said, looks really good. Sure you will be very pleased with the results.
  9. TakingThePlunge - Like others have stated, you should see more thickening over the next couple of months. I read many posts from others saying that they saw a difference from 8 to 12 months. I am sure you must be please with how natural it looks. I think that is very important. Best of luck. Keep us updated. And, as you know, Dr. Alexander has produced some great results.
  10. aaron1234 ??“ I agree with mrkneed. It looks very good. And, of course, we have seen excellent results from SMG. I think you will be very pleased when all is said and done. I hope the best for you. And best of luck with your new job. Remember, no one looks as close as we do at our hair as we go through the transition.
  11. PLEASE GROW PLEASE - Thanks for taking the time to respond to my update. Your comments are very informative and helpful. I look forward to hearing from you and others when I ask for thoughts on next steps. Bill - You are welcome. I am looking forward to seeing your updates.
  12. Kaounis and HairHope --- Thanks for your supportive comments concerning my progress. I know you both also responded to previous post and I really appreciate it.
  13. Leeson--- Thanks for the note. I think the density is ok, for the most part. I think it holds up very well under strong lighting. It is weakest in direct sunlight. Also, I have naturally thin hair. Will evaluate next steps in around 12-18 months from the HT and will be asking for input from others on this site. I have the two scars which may be impacting the maturation. But as you suggested, time will tell. Your results look awesome. Orangehair--- Thanks for the note. I use Rogaine in the back but sometimes it finds its way to the front. Previous surgery may have impact on scalp pigment. Bill --- Always appreciate your thoughtful comments. How is your last HT coming along? Your hair looked great prior so I am sure final result will be amazing. On a side note, I visited dermatologist today on non related HT issue. During the examination, he noticed the scar on the back (this was after he looked at the front briefly). Before he saw the back scar, he had no clue I had a HT. He thought it looked very good and obviously very natural.
