  1. I spoke with one of the top five HT refined surgeons in the country regarding this. He stated simply that it was most likely 8 to ten years away. All the more reason to be conservative with your donor site as the technology advances.
  2. You're not alone. I had that many procedures before finally getting refined work. The real element of failure is the breakdown of trust. People inherently TrusT doctors which is a major mistake many of us make in life. Dont give up. You can look better now, with the technology available no matter what your situation.
  3. Lol, you mentioned Johnny Depp, but he's HAD a hair transplant in the frontal region which was quite effective. Good ones: McConahey, Slater, Clooney, Damon, Bad: Cage (density issues), caan (needs to let it go gray), ok: billy crystal, letterman, biden, sting, fraser, kimmel????, wigs: travolta, affleck, billy bob thornton recent: burt reynolds, elton john. They may wear systems in the back so hard to tell --....about one third of all famous guys in movies and films have had work. Before and after pictures dont lie. More hair? HT.
  4. Yup. Anytime you see thinning and then thickening that doesnt look like a weave, then its a transplant. Celeb plants are easy to spot from film to film. Carell was using a darkening agent in the early seasons, but had work done after season two. It thickened right up, and he was able to start styling it differently as well.
  5. 100 years ago physicians and attorneys were the most trusted professions. Now, the least trusted.
  6. For some reason i developed an interest in HT as a subject beyond just my own results. also, guys need encouragement if they get sub par results, end up haggling with doctors, get ripped off, or are just worrying due to slow growth. A vet can lend a helping hand.
  7. Nothing to worry about! In fact, you've got some built in advantages: 1. People expect mid age men to have thinner hair! You can recess your hairline and get good coverage over a small area and look perfectly fine. 2. Gray/silver hair is the best color for tranplanted hair in contrast against the scalp. 3. Dont worry about the crown. Get one procedure in the front, and youre set, no more sessions needed. 4. from what you've said you've got a virgin scalp so youre in good shape. If you'd gone bald earlier, you'd probably have bad hair plugs.
  8. If you can take a six hour trip or so, go see dr. cooley in Charlotte. I recommend NOT consulting with Dr. Wolf in Cincinnati. My personal opinion based on experience. Send your photos to Dr. Hasson in Vancouver. Do an online consult.
  9. Do the front right away and worry about the crown later. Take a couple weeks off work. You can get everything filled in and completed later, but the longer you go around bald, the bigger deal its gonna be when you get the HT
  10. Dont do it. The work dinner will be quickly forgotten, but if you show up looking gruesome theyre going to be talking about if for a long time to come. Prudence better than regret. Make up a good excuse ahead of time. A family obligation in another town is good.
  11. This is sort of a loaded question. As far as recieving a percentage of your density by a certain time, the problem is that the hairs are not grown out to full length. Your density comes from thick packing, and by hair length. This is why modern work is so good for guys with very thin individual hairs. They cannot achieve density with growing the hair long so they need thick packing. Its another reason that hair styling really matters for certain people. By combing the hair straight back or even getting a perm, you get more density by growing the hairs out to max length.
  12. Unfortunately it grows as programmed in the DNA and looks like it would on the horseshoe. One exception, ive heard, is body hair plants which they are able to get to grow out rather than stop at the normal body hair length. Not sure how this works. The horseshoe hair is a little thicker, coarser, and wilder looking. Nic Cage has some problems with his HT because the hairs look especially coarse. His Fue has caused serious density problems
  13. Can we see pics? Im glad you had a good result. We've seen someone here with a very bad result. Epstein has resisted satisfying the exceptionally bad work with irish lad, its obvious from pictures that he tried to rip him off regarding density.
  14. Are you able to travel? Dr. Hasson in Vancouver is my recommendation.
