  1. Mick.....thanks for sharing - looks as if Dr. Farjo is on spot with the whirl effect - wondering about the age of this patient and his donor supply cheers*
  2. Well done Dr.Konior - nice feathered edge and healing of the skin - density is very good as well, this result can easily stand on its own - would be cool to see the post-ops if you have them
  3. ttp - Mick.....thanks for commenting....Dr. Dorin puts a lot of thought and planning into his procedures and this case certainly shows the benefits of doing so.
  4. thanks Mercury....another term people use is tension hair loss — constantly pullling back hair tightly can damage the roots and ultimately result in loss, also hair weaves and corn rows can have a similar effect.
  5. Christine...props to Dr. Arocha....big change, i can tell its given him a much more youthful appearance...i would expect some futher change in hair texture/caliber over the next few months
  6. 1966, RCW, JK....thank you for your comments....JK keep in touch - almost time for your first follow-up;)
  7. Dr. Devroye - looks like a great transformation, especially in just 1 year.....curious what the interval was between the 2 surgeries - any benefits from medical therapy? OH
  8. Hey guys......Dr. Dorin recently performed round 2 on this patient. A total of 1648 follicular units were transplanted of which 557 were singles, 1032 doubles and 59 threes - 2798 additional hairs. Previous donor scar removed.
  9. This patient in his late 20's showed a developing Norwood 5 pattern with certain progression to a NW 6. This was a challenging case due to his lower than average donor density (@ 55 fu/cm2 ). Given his age and evolving pattern, Dr. Dorin did an initial treatment with focus on the front/top region and concomitantly initiated medical therapy (Propecia). With the addition of 2,779 transplanted hairs and what would be considered a very positive response to Propecia, the initial restoration process was successful and a huge change for the patient. Dr. Dorin may do a follow-up treatment of approximately the same size in the future.
  10. yes definitely ahead of schedule....will update toward the end of the year or so.....thanks Mick
  11. Dr. Robert Dorin performed an 1602 graft FUT to treat this female's thinning hairline and temporal areas caused by traction alopecia. It has only been 4 months but the areas are already in development. Will update in @ 4 months.
  12. jkrav......you would likely have a great response with Propecia based on your pattern and age....you would have a great chance of salvaging a lot of your native hair...you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didnt consider this medical therapy...transplanting alone will have its limitations
  13. J - another solid result by Dr. Ron....great example of the success a patient can have with committment to a medical therapy regimine combined with a well-executed transplant session...appears to have a nice caliber & curl to his hair to boot
  14. Mick....look forward to this result*.....with his hair tone and percentage of 3's should be in good shape with the one session
  15. I must say this is a beautiful result....i think the hairline design is a perfect match for this patient...well done Dr. Konior
  16. Balody - Sparky - TTP.....appreciate your comments...Sparky, as an astute hair transplant enthusiast I think you would agree that hairlines are not perfectly symmetrical in nature nor should they be recreated in such a way...also the patients head is not perfectly aligned in the photos which might lend to your assesment...i'll definitely update you his progress - will be better to judge it when its developed...thanks again. OH
  17. These photos show the patient before, immediately post-op and 9 days later. As evidenced, Dr. True focused on rebuilding around the frontal forelock and made a point of restoring the temporal regions. The stubble effect that you see generally goes away within a few weeks of the procedure, in some cases the hairs may grow for a longer period of time and then shed or may never actually fall out post-op. Of the 1805 follicular units placed, 776 are singles, 958 doubles, and 71 threes - a total of 2905 hairs.
