  1. 4000 grafts in 8 hours, i don't think so...even if they did achieve that the top FUE docs can only do 3000 grafts in one day depending on the patient, but even then it would probably take 10 hours, so i'd stay well clear of that clinic. For all you know they putting in 2000 and charging you for 4000.
  2. I'm white as a sheet and didn't really get any redness after 7 days, it really does just depend. I looked through my blog from my first HT, and although i'd totally forgotten about it, i didn't get much redness then, but people say the redness post op is a good thing due to blood vessels forming/circulation etc, so i'm not excatly feeling smug about it. ItS said that starting with warm water opens up the pores/cuticle, and you should finish with coldish water to close the pores, same with shaving...that why when if you've ever been to one of them fancy barbers that do wet shaves they put a warm flannel on your skin, then foam yuo up, shave you, them use the flannel again, but this time a cold flannel. I started doing that when i shave, definitely makes a difference shaving wise.
  3. From what i can see in the photos i think it looks good. In your post op pic the grafts behind the hairline looked a little spaced out, but maybe due to the thickness of the hair caliber, what micron was your hair? Also i think your result looks natural and a good result. What did Dr Lorenzo say re your 12 months update?
  4. Yeah i agree, left side don't look so bad from the pic.
  5. Thanks for your tips on the Couvre, will try it next week. Need it for covering the strip scar mostly, then once the hair grows to at least a grade 3 i'm all set. Looking foprward to more updates
  6. Cheers dude, wishing you all the best too, will be watching your progress my fine haired brother
  7. I think i lost most of my frontal native hair over the last couple of years, so what you're seeing there at the front is mostly, if not exclusively transplanted hair. This is the photo taken over a year ago now that i sent to Dr Lorenzo, i had shaved my hair shorter around a grade 6 and it surpsrised me how thin it had looked, plus i'd had a couple of comments from people that my hair looked like it had thinned, never good words to hear!
  8. This makes my crown look worse than it is, but as you can see, it's not great, but i didn't have any work done here.
  9. Healing is a lot quicker after FUE, no doubt about that. i forget that the US has a different date layout, UK 01/12/15 / US 12/01/15 I paid ?7000 (10,000) Euros for 2000 grafts, but got an extra 222 grafts for free total grafts 2222 grafts. Will try to load Dr Lorenzo's pre op pics of my hair
  10. Will improve even more over the coming months
  11. All looks good, you still have some native hair, and the area worked on was not so large for 2500 grafts, an excellent 2.4 hair to grafts, same as me, leads to me to think you'll get an excellent result. My hair came in at 40/46 microns, and yours doesn't look that much finer really. I got increased pain on Day5, but nothing iboprofen couldn't help with, and the aloe vera gel is better than the saline for helping with the itch in the donor area. By day 10 i was practically back to normal. I have a slight numbness on the top still but that's improving everyday. I'm following the post op instructions to the letter, apart from washing my hair twice a day for two months, bit to excessive that and inconvienient for me, but i am washing it once everyday.
  12. Could be less, growing the hair helps, or possibly using dermatch or Couvre to disguise the area.
  13. Not getting far away from the growth period now. I'm day 14 so ages off, but i also have purchased some Couvre, for the Christmas period, hair is too short at the minute though. Your strip scar is very thin, hard to see in the photos
  14. I didn't get the ATP spray, it was just saline, buit i didn't use that first time, and i think it has helped with healing/scabs etc So the hair is not really growing, ok. thanks for your explanation.
  15. Looks like your donor area is experiencing shock loss. This normally always temporary. It could take another 8 weeks before it looks normal at the back.
  16. Ok thanks for the replies, i just remember that from my first HT most of the hairs had shed by this point, only this time i've got a least 90% of the transplanted hair still there and growing, so i take that as a good sign.
  17. This is a really good result. You'd never know it was a HT. Amazing, stay on propecia!
  18. Thanks Fellas, aside from a some numbness on the top of the head i feel back to normal. I was quite shocked when looking at Dr Lorenzo's pre op pics, my hair looked worse than i thought. Stopping minoxidil hit me hard, plus i think i lowered the dose of propecia too much, so i basically screwed myself. May take you up on that offer David, will give it another go first though. I do have some pics i've just taken day 11
  19. Not exactly true. Techs have done the extractions at Injertocapilar for years, people think Lorenzo always did the extractions until recently, but that is bacause during his stint in Manchester he did most of the extractions, but not in Madrid. Unless he has a really challenging patient, then he will do the extractions himself, along with Dr Vila. For me he did the first few, then passed it on to his techs, said my follicles were easy to extract, no problems, then patted me on the shoulder and said the tech doing the extractions did his when he had his op. Techs doing the extractions is the norm in Europe i'd say, not the states though.
  20. it might just be my saving grace though Gill, as my donor is average, and my hair is fine, so a high number of 3 haired grafts and a 2.49 hairs per graft will hopefully counter balance the fine hair, well , here's hoping.
  21. I don't think MSM actually speeds up hair growth, although anecdotal, i did a little experiement on myself some years back, and found that my hair did not measureable grow any faster from taking it.
  22. Mosty docs will tell you to get on propecia first, there are horror stories online, but they are a small minority of users. People have horror stores after taking aspirin, thouasands die every year, so i feel it is a case of putting things in to perspective. Propecia, maybe using nizoral shampoo if you have some scalp inflammation is the best course of action, before having a transplant.
  23. I realised that i don't know if the grafts continue to grow after they have been transplanted, before then falling out and begining the resting phase before growing again. When i look at my gfafts that have been transplanted they look like they are growing in line with my native hair, if so then logic suggests that these follicles are alive and will regrow. Does anyone actually know if this is correct?
