  1. I know this is an old thread, but it still comes up in search. 2.5% is way to strong for topical Fin from what i have read. At that dose it will go systemic and you may as well just pop the pill. The dose that seems to work well for topical fin is really low, like as low as 0.010% to 0.3% At this dose it stays localised to the hair follicules and doesn't go systemic and cause side effects. Look up a product called Hims, in fact here's a link https://www.forhims.com/hair-loss/topical-finasteride I have not used this product, as it also has Minoxidil in it, but the reviews on reddit suggest it works without sides. If anyone has used it please comment your opinion.
  2. For that wiry finish. Well, it's hair i suppose.
  3. I'm pretty sure he did the implanting on mine, and he liked to whack on some hard rock music while he did it. He was a total pro and a cool guy, so that's a shame to hear if results have slipped.
  4. I took these under a bright light and with the flash on. I have lost some density since the last transplant in Dec 2015, so it did look better originally, but i doubt i'll get anymore transplants, other than filling in the strip scar. on one of the photos i can see the scar, the last one.
  5. Thank you for the extra photos Parasol. I don't think anybody is seeing that scar at a grade 4, and yes, i bet you could get away with a 3. I thought i'd added some 10 month post op, but i must have done that classic thing of being happy with the results and didn't update the blog, or maybe i posted them in my thread....i can't remember for sure, it was a while ago. I am still happy with the transplant result from Dr Lorenzo, i healed well, and the had a high growth rate. I have searched my computer for photos post op from Lorenzo and i can't anything, i think i lost those images, but, i have found an photo post op from Lorenzo of my donor area showing my strip scar shaved down and i'll upload some current photos of my hair now.
  6. Hi Parasol, Thank you for the response. - I have checked out your thread. Congrats on the good result and the new woman in your life. Your hair looks good, especially after a year when the transplanted hair had time to soften. I can't make out the scar in the post op photo posted above. It looks to me like you had a great survival rate for the grafts. Can you cut it shorter than a grade 5 without it being seen? - Before my FUE i could do a 4, but now a grade 5 will be a safer length, which isn't that bad really. You know, when i was reading your thread, i couldn't help but see the similarities. I also got slack with Fin some years later and i stopped using minox. I lost density and that's why i got another HT with Lorenzo. I never got back on minox, but i've been consistent with Fin ever since. We also have a similar head shape, scar, and beard - Only mine has a growing amount of white hairs in it! Since making this post, i've also started to look into frexel laser that could help with the appearance of the scar and then get FUE. See this photo from 2014 of Frexel that i found online. In order to get the best result possible, it might be worthwhile me doing this and then getting FUE. The thing is, i'm sure a grade 5 will cover the scar and i could settle for that, as it is still pretty short, and save myself the bother and expense, kicking the can down the road, so to speak, if i decide i want to buzz it all off, like a grade 2 and hope that it will work out well. I have recently seen some great work by Dr Umar, where this has been possible, but of course, results may vary etc.
  7. Hi all, I want to wear my hair in a shorter style, which means going shorter at the sides. I recently buzzed the back at a grade 4 (1/4) i think, and you kind of see the outline of the scar. It's not super obvious, but it's there... if i go to grade 3 or lower it will be visable. I thought about SMP, but i think FUE into scar would be a better long term solution. - plus, i'm going grey now, so i'm not sure how that would work, especially if my hair goes white and the dots are a darker colour. So far, i'm thinking Dr Lorenzo or Dr Ferundi in Belgium. There's not an awful lot of FUE into Strip scar photos out there, but i know it can be succesful and if i can buzz my hair down to a grade 2 or 3 without it showing, i'd be a happy man. Any one with suggestions, advice or experiences with hiding strip scars?
  8. Cheers fellas. Exactly that Dutchie, a measurement of the general thickness of the hair...not all Docs use it though.
  9. Considering what you had to work with i think this is a great result. His scars are hard to see considering 5500 grafts taken from the donor.
  10. He was a bald fella, and yep, i kept my composure and denied denied denied. Also a good sign though, shows improvment.
  11. 3 Month post op. Still improving, and already happy with the transplant. First three photos are taken under a bright light, last two under a bright light and flash. Still don't do it justice, but i'll get help with the photos for the 4 month update. I got asked flat out today if i'd done a Rooney and got a hair transplant, right in front of a load of people i know as well, some people have got no tact whatsoever, he might as well of just announced it over the PA system his voice was so f-ing loud.
  12. Same. I think Dr Bhatti is a good doctor, and top marks for him participating in the thread, but probably would have been better for him not to have bothered. It was entertaining watching him and Feller go back and forth though. Some people would have definitely been put off by Dr Feller, but did it hurt his business? I highly doubt it. Although i agreed with Dr feller on FUE, i still think he was too bullish about it, and could not explain why docs like Lorenzo can get results with FUE on par with his strip results.
  13. Also it is only 6.5 month result, not the full ten months plus that most of the result before and afters are from Lorenzo.
