  1. Some of you posters are way over the top in your paranoid accusations about Dr Feller. Now i may be a little biased as i've actually met him and got a good result from a hair transplant by him, but the most likely explanation is that Dr Feller simply asked happy patients to post their story on the forum, mainly in response to the bad PR he gets from a handful of posters, which isn't dodgy at all... He is an excellent doctor with tons of patient blogs showing good results, so why the need to constantly try to blacken his name on this forum? Only one of you has even met Dr Feller and had work done by him, so to me it's baffling why you go around grinding your axe everytime you get a chance, anyone would think you were butchered by him the way some of you go on.
  2. Belgium is your best bet, i agree. I'm going to Madrid to get FUE done with Dr Lorenzo, the flights only just over two hours. In UK, Dr Reddy as mentioned, and maybe the Farjo clinic, these two are probably best for UK as they have some proven results.
  3. They are all good docs, are you currently taking any hairloss meds like Propecia? EDIT: I don't know much about DR Demisroy
  4. So that's how it happens, Neograft's sales reps smooth talking B.S, selling to docs that this can increase your profits by x y z. But still, shame on the docs who take up the offer cos it's pretty arrogant to think that with next to no experience you can just dial in successful hair transplants with some mercenary techs, not to mention just taking the word of a sales rep. What could go wrong? ps I've also noticed posters coming on this forum all hyped up about the Neograft, clearly just read some PR guff and swallowed it all hook, line and sinker.
  5. It's not that common but sometimes some patients transplanted grafts don't shed, or not all grafts shed, and keep growing, that's what seems to be happening here, so nothing to worry about, most people would prefer the grafts didn't shed. Maybe that ATP spray stuff, who knows, but all looks good.
  6. The negative experiences are all here on this forum for anyone researching this clinic anyway, sounds fair to give the clinic/Dr a chance to reply to lacklustre results and dodgy marketing practices.
  7. I think what they said about not taking fin is the opposite of the advice you would hear in most clinics, i think you should take fin. You do have diffused hairloss with some native hair left, fin will help maintain this hair, and maybe even give a boost to your crown.
  8. Dr Path in Thailand has very good rep, not sure how far that is from Malaysia...Not really sure of any other docs around your area, but i'm sure ther a some.
  9. I'd definitely take your time, and also be prepared to travel abroad if needed. I know this adds to the cost, but a bad poor HT costs a lot more in the end, money wise and emotionally.
  10. Good luck Jonny, i'll be where you are on 1st December, look forward to reading about your experience
  11. Why? They got a gun to your head. Or are you getting a touch up procedure for free and don't want to spit in their hand?
  12. Regardless of Paleos haste in getting a HT and not waiting for his results before complaining, the real issue here is the shear unprofessionalism of this clinic, advising a FUE patient that he will have to keep his at 1.5cm long to conver scar tissue? WTF? Absolute nonsense spoken by someone with obvious lack of knowledge. I also don't understand how Paelo can only have a donor of 4500 grafts in total while having a virgin donor before having the 2500 grafts procedure, leaving him with 2000 grafts left in the bank. I've never heard of any one having so few grafts in their donor region, and this does not make sense to me. To believe that ALL clinics engage in fake advertising and operate 'Shill' accounts on forums to hoodwink prospective patients is completely false. Top clinics do not need to sink to these low and devious methods, because their work speaks for itself, word gets out, there are patient blogs and happy patients with photos detailing their experience, sometimes in great detail, and aside from all this they are ethical, so never have any need to create false testimonies. The fact that this clinic does is a MASSIVE RED FLAG
  13. Pre op pic would really help to give an accurate reply to your question.
  14. Like i said, you are taking a gamble. These ops are successful if done by skilled doctors. I found a thread here on HTN about Dr Rubin http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180900-hair-transplant-malaysia-fut-dr-ruban-nathan.html He is also a dermatologist. He seems to recommend 1300 grafts al ot so i thinking that is because that is all he can do in a day. As for the other doctor i found very little of him mentioned online.
  15. That is even more damning, and the question that needs to be asked is should this website be promoting a clinic who engages in such practices and now has a trail of poor patient posted results?
  16. Can Dr's tell from looking at extracted grafts if it has been injured/transected or not? If so then they must know how good the person who extracted the grafts is... If it is a top class clinic with a great rep then i'm sure the techs are very good at extractions, and have the dr's trust...Dr Feriduni has techs doing the extractions as well, so i actually think it is the norm.
  17. I meant the antibiotics meds, but in all likelihood the chances for regrowth are remote. I found from my first HT that my left side was did not grow as well as the right, and it's not too uncommon for HT patients to have one side a bit better than the other, be it strip or FUE, and i'm sure Dr L knows how long he can safely have the grafts out the body for before implanting, but it is interesting as to why one side may be bette tthan the other, i've seen some people say it could be to do with which side you lay your head when sleeping has an effect, but there is no scientific basis to any of that. Maybe one side has better blood supply, so many unknowns... I think you may as well go for 1000 grafts, that makes sense to me, and will have more of a cosmetic effect. I've been quoted 2000 grafts.. If the scar will never be a bother to you, and you'll never just quit bothering with your hair and want to shave it off and be bald, then strip is an option...but i would not do strip for a 1000 grafts.
  18. Not allowing links to other HT sites is kinda weak, almost as if you're scared of them. Oh no, another HT forum, they will take all our posters!
  19. Hi mate, Yes the clinic booked me in for two days free hotel as part of the price, nice 4 star hotel, looks really nice from the pictures online. I'm flying out 30th Nov day before the procdure to have a meet with Dr L, then 1st Dec is the procedure, im staying on a couple of extra days and flying back the 4th Dec. How about you?
  20. He's quoted 2000, but said he could do more if needed, depending on how the extractions go, but his maximum grafts per day is 2500. I'm looking forward to it actually, but i'm self employed so don't have to worry too much about hiding it from collegues, although i'll be lying low from friends and family for a while. They say by day 10 those grafts are firmly in place.
  21. Some really good results there, even with guys with average hair characteristics... I put the donors looking better post op in some pics down to the fact that the hair was longer..
  22. Yeah that was me, i took mine out myself and with the help of my mum, it was tough going, but then i got in the bath and had a good soak and did the rest myself with a three way mirror, was so much easier, and yes, i remember that feeling of relief when they were all out, was buzzing. I also went a little do laddy the first few weeks post HT, but i then stopped myself from checking and looking in the mirror all the time, cut it down to twice a day for a few minutes only and that helped a lot. By month 3 i could sort of see some minor growth, but by month 4 i could really see it forming and i fully relaxed knowing i was going to get a good result. I'm getting my second HT on 1st December, FUE with Dr Lorenzo, no staples this time, but the anxiety and worrying about if i get a good result will come back, hopefully being my 2nd HT it will be easier when in the doldrums stage of month 1 - 3...which is actually the hardest part of a HT, Not the procedure itself, or the injections, but the waiting! I think Dr L uses the ATP stuff as well, hope so, sounds awesome. Sounds like you're dealing with it all like a boss, but with Dr shapiro you've done everything right to get a steller result, i don't doubt that you will be happy with the result, and will have to watch yourself for hair greed.
  23. Thanks for sharing your experience and concerns. You must have been a slow grower, as i can see why you were concerned at month 6. I have a HT booked with Dr L in December, i asked him about how many grafts he can do in a day, and he said it depends on the scalp, but 2000/2500 tops. You never know your hair may improve again over the next couple of months if you've been off the meds for a while... Are you going back to Dr L for your second procedure?
  24. All looks good, how was the staple removal? hurts when a hair gets caught. Surpised you still have so many grafts, looks quite long as well.
