  1. Prevailing wisdom suggest FUT first and FUE second. There are many posts on this question. One thing to always do is follow the money trail. If a doctor does both, but makes more money off FUE guess which one he will push. You often see this bias in doctors doing laser surgery. They will always promote the one they have in the office. It is wise that you came here because we don't make money off whatever you choose.
  2. I would say after my 1st transplant it was noticeable, but after my 2nd transplant I never even think about it. I spend more effort on trying to keep my hair the best length because it seems to grow really fast, and then it has a mind of its own. You spend much more time worrying about your hair than other people spend looking at you, because they are worried about their own hair. The one exception is if you have a weird hairdo that will draw more attention.
  3. I can't look at your pictures and tell, but I had 2300 FUE and that took 10.5 hours with 1/2 hour lunch break. That means you got about 2.7 time the amount of grafts in 2 hours less time. Your procedure would have been completed at 775 grafts per hour. Unless we are dealing with time dilation or relativity or you doctor was Superman or the Flash it didn't happen.
  4. I think you will make out good with 4500, just not on one day.
  5. ADuckWith NoHair, Your pictures totally cleared up the question for the young Padawan.
  6. I was watching Dr. Phil today, and what started out as a show about sluts ( actual title), but he turned it into a boring show about bullying.
  7. I believe mine stabilized in my 60s. Both of my transplants were done after age 60 , and I really do not remember any shedding from either one.
  8. I have to agree with Melvin 4" is a good length. I tried longer, but I had a beard and with the longer hair I risked being mistaken for Moses. LOL
  9. Well you can't get much more mature than me. I will be 73 in a month.
  10. OK, I live in Florida so I am used to seeing blue haired old ladies, but what the hell is that with his implants. Honestly that looks like the Blue fertilizer the city sprays on the grass.
  11. This is a much discussed topic, and if you just use the search function by typing in shock you will get more responses, and more information than by you just reposting the question.
  12. Melvin, you get the Gold Star for the best explanation yet.
  13. I was probably a 5 or bordering on 6, and I did as Melvin said with a FUT, and came back with FUE the 2nd time. I can't say FUE was the best path the 2nd time, but I got better than expected results both times. Maybe somebody more in the know will talk about FUT + FUT.
  14. This post isn't even about me because it was 7 years between my transplants, but is there a minimum time between procedures? I'm not having any more transplants, but I bet some of the guys are wondering. Also, do most of you believe in FUT first and then FUE.
  15. I wasn't one of the guys who counted hairs with a microscope every day. I would say with the first it just seemed to be there at 4-5 months. I remember standing outside talking to a couple of guys, and one guy said I was lucky to still have my hair, and that shook me up. Nobody knew I had a transplant. I really think the 2nd was about the same stage, 4-5 months. I am very satisfied with my results. If you let it the wait can drive you crazy.
  16. Have you spoken to the doctor? You should see something at 4.5 months. I had 2 transplants, but they were 7 years apart. How long did you wait between transplants?
  17. I don't really remember the shots for FUT, but the shots for FUE were horrible.
  18. I found FUT to be easier than FUE. They will probably give you something to relax you. If you can fall asleep - DO IT.
  19. Here is the travel advice for Turkey. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/turkey-travel-advisory.html
  20. If you have a long time to wait I believe my hair loss stabilized sometime in my 60s
  21. I had it with my 2018 FUE, and I really don't know how anyone can give an objective review, or even a subjective review in that situation. I never had any follow up PRP although it was offered.
  22. I have been on this forum since 2009, and they said it would be here in 10 years. I keep waiting for the big announcement.
  23. Don't count on being OK with balding in your late 60s.
