  1. One or two clinics have suggested a general distribution of implants with higher density in the worst areas. My temples and hairline are weak, and there is an area on my crown approx 3 inches in diameter of general thinning (but no bald spots). The crown can basically be covered up by growing my hair out at least 1 1/2 inches then combing it forward. That said I like to use Toppik as well. My primary concern is the hairline which the general estimate is around 2500-3000 grafts. Would it be wise to throw in 500-1000 extra implants on the crown during the same procedure or is the risk of permanent shock loss too high? I have seen a few cases of Demirsoy doing the above mentioned plan, but some surgeons choose not to.
  2. Cant seem to find answers for these, if you wouldnt mind. 1. I already take fin and minox and have done for years. I also microneedle once a fortnight. Leading up to a FUE procedure, should I stop the microneedling and minoxidil? If so, how far before the surgery and at which point can I resume? 2. Straight after a FUE procedure is it possible to wear, say a beanie hat on the flight home or not? 3. For how long before and after surgery should one abstain from smoking/alcohol/junk food? 4. How soon after FUE can you start lifting weights again? 5. How soon after FUE can you go out in the sun? Thanks in advance
  3. Pictures IMO do not show hair loss very well, so I've made a video if you wouldn't mind watching: This is with freshly washed hair with Nizoral: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ_6oMktsdI Stats: Age 28 Medications: Nizoral since age 23 twice per week Minox once or twice per day since age 20 Finasteride 1mg per day since age 23 Microneedling once per week with 1.5mm, since November 2018, reduced to once per fornight as I dont feel it makes any difference Biotin, fish oil and a few other vits, daily since 2017 Hair loss progression: It has remained largely unchanged since age 21. At age 22 or so, my crown had a completely bald patch for around 6 months, which has since filled in. What you see in the video is how it has looked for about 6 or 7 years now. Goal: Fill in the hairline fully, possibly dropping the hairline a little too. Unfortunately I've had a large forehead since I was a child, which really doesn't help. I'm deciding on Demirsoy, looking at May next year. Thanks
  4. Dr D seems to have a more reliable track record, Cinik is a bit of an 'all you can eat buffet' type of place. Mixed opinions, mixed results, cheap price
  5. Hmm Demirsoy usually has better results than this. I'd not at all be happy with that result no offence, 3000 grafts should look better
  6. Thats awful. Are you on fin or minox? If not you should be, PRP doesnt work you need fin to promote growth
  7. Its weird how much you lost at the front but the crown is just as thick as everywhere else. Nice result
  8. How soon after the transplant can you start wearing a cap for most of the day?
  9. OP what is your opinion from your research of Cinik? Since he would fall into the low cost bracket (very low cost even), but results seem to be consistently good, for a fraction of the price of someone like Erdogan
  10. Did you have a lot of grafts put in the crown? It could be that permanent shock loss has occured and the transplanted hair has simply replaced what was lost
  11. Whats with the sudden huge increase in Cinik threads and transplants? When I asked about him he was written off as 'too cheap' 'you get what you pay for' etc, but from what I can see he does just as good a job as Erdogan at about 1/4 the price
  12. Do the following for at least 18 months first: 1. Fin 0.25mg every other day, building up to 1mg a day 2. Minox foam or liquid twice a day 3. Nizoral shampoo twice a week 4. 2mm derma stamp once a week I think in a year your crown will be much fuller
  13. I just can't decide if and when the time might be right. I'm 27 1/2 and in education. My plan is to go to university for a 3 year full time degree in September. For this reason If I go for a transplant I'd be looking at between now and around June 2019 to do it (in order to give it time to look normal for the start of University), otherwise once I start university the only large gap to have it done would be the summer holidays so around May to September every year. Here is the state of my hair under very bright bathoom downlights Combed back: Now its been basically like this since age 20ish, with some minor further temple recession since. Using fin and minox daily and have began 2mm derma stamping once every 7 days but too early to tell if it will do anything. Despite the loss at a young age i've never had problems getting girls, but friends have trolled me over it at times. For special occasions I use Toppik on the crown. But the way I style it makes it look somewhat normal (or am I just coping/reaching here) Here is how i style it: Basically brush it forward and keep it quite long to hide the temples. My pros and cons are as follows: Pros: Wont have to worry about the wind Wont have to brush it forward and spray gel it in place anymore Will boost confidence Cons: Finding correct time to have it done Can still attract women anyway, but a transplant would push me up a couple points I think Price. But not a huge issue Im relatively young so must be wary of shockloss and future surgeries There are a few semi promising alternative treatments due to release soon, including the italian hair loss lotion, Brotzu I think its called Lastly Im concerned with my donor capacity. I had one consultation where I was told I have a lot of 2-3 hair follicles and he wasnt concerned with the available donor supply. I never see the back of my head but decided to take a pic today and it does look quite thin, but its with a number 4 guard so I dont know. Would like to hear your opinions on what I should do. I know it is ultimately down to me but some outside influence wouldnt hurt. My heart is basically set on Dr Demirsoy or maybe Cinik IF i were to have a transplant. Ive done quite a bit of research and looking at between 2500-3500 for hairline, temples and midscalp reinforcement.
