  1. I was in a pretty similar position as you when I made my jump for my first FUT... I'll let you know how I feel in about 3 more months lol. I will say FUT was "scarier" to me before making my decision, but it's honestly not nearly as bad as you would think.
  2. Cut with a #5 guard. Happy with how its turning out. I'd like to eventually go lower, but I know I'm still early at 3 months so I need to give it time.
  3. lookin like Paulie from Sopranos. good transformation. congrats
  4. I just passed the 12 week mark. Not sure what the most accurate representation of results are, whether that be weeks, or "months". For instance, my 3 month mark would actually be on February 4th, which is not for 1 more week. Anyways... here is an update. Key points: I have not cut my hair since 12/27, to which I cut it with a #2 clipper all around. Very happy with how the incision is healing. I tried really really hard not to look at it this entire time. These pics are actually the first time I'm seeing it since 12/27. I will probably try to cut the sides with a #4 or #5 in the next couple days to see what I'm working with length-wise to cover the scar. My fiance says she can only see a few small spots where she can see a difference, but she says that's only because she knows I had something done. I can feel tiny pricks of hair on and around the scar, which hopefully means it'll only get better. My native hair seems to have grown back, which I'm obviously happy about. I dodged the dreaded permanent shock loss. It just needs to grow back longer and I'll probably be where I was pre-op. No new growth yet. Definitely trying to remain patient. I know these next 2 months are gonna set the tone. None of these pictures are with Toppik. I am using Toppik when I leave the house. Still on finasteride 1mg/day. It's really keeping my crown in check and not letting it dip.
  5. I would've hopped on finasteride sooner. "you never know until you try" like you, I maybe could have held onto all/most of my hair before it got as bad as it did.
  6. you can, but until the fibers have something to cling onto it looks super fake
  7. I will say you will look really weird/awkward for more time than you expect. A lot of people say they go back to normal life in a few weeks... I didn't find that to be the case at all. I was looking like a freak up until just now which is right at the 3 month mark. Things that make you look weird for a while: scar shockloss recipient area redness recipient area shockloss and regrowth since being shaved down My native hair that was in my frontal 1/3 is just now at a reasonable length where it looks somewhat "normal", and my hair on the back and sides are covering my scar which is healing as expected.
  8. correct. it’s mainly based on your DNA and how that correlates with people who have hairloss and who don’t. also where your ancestors are from and the likelihood of their hairloss.
  9. this upcoming wednesday will be my 12 weeks completed mark. although my native hair has started to grow back, I'm definitely getting to that point where I'm like "will this ever start to grow...?" and I get nervous
  10. Beard to chest is usually the order. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I remember a case where someone used pubic hairs lol. The issue with using arm hairs and back hairs is that they are way more fragile when moving
  11. your donor area looks completely normal. idk what everyone is talking about
  12. you can be ethical and still be “business minded”. everyone creates their business to be .... business/money minded lol. otherwise they would not last long i personally don’t agree with the package model, but that’s just me
  13. My dad is NW2 at age 63. I would say I'm easily NW4-5 without transplant at age of 29
  14. my hair would shed then regrow every 6 months. none of the cycles ever got back to my first set of results. they got weaker and weaker with each cycle which is why I went the HT route. My crown has held up however
  15. great results. I alway wish I hopped on it sooner... My results started to fade so I got a HT, but happy for you. There is no feeling like magically having your hair back
  16. this is why we don’t panic and allow a full year. this looks great
  17. well i’m negative for covid. so if my results come back subpar I can’t blame it on that
  18. why are you worried about your current procedures yield if the first one turned out good (100% so you say) ?
  19. I'm a little over 2 months post op, and have some symptoms, mainly chills/aches. I got tested on friday, and waiting for results to come back.
