  1. ive seen hundreds of cases where ~3500 easily covers the front half of the head. Yes the second half would require more but i’m just saying from his initial preop pic, it looks like that’s just classic frontal recession. Also I understand he wanted more density than 3500. great result either way. that’s all that matters
  2. I’ll say this... get on finasteride and tough it out. I was too scared to start taking it 2 years ago, now i’ve lost a lot of hair and wish I had started taking it back then. I’ve been on it for 2+ months now and haven’t had any sides
  3. definitely an amazing transformation. you need a couple more months for those hairs to mature. you can clearly see from the top down angles where the transplant started against the existing hairs
  4. 8300 grafts with that initial picture of your hair loss journey..? seems like sooooo many to still have crown showing. Seems like a solid 3500 could’ve taken care of it in one procedure. Did some not yield as expected? Do you only have 1 linear scar across your head?
  5. yeah i was gonna say... nothing like being discrete and wearing fake hair not anywhere close to what your hair was like before lol
  6. You look great man. Big improvement. I’ll be honest I can’t really sense your excitement from your post. What else are you looking for? more density?
  7. good result with that many grafts. i have to agree with legend. post op pics of the the graft placement would mean a lot of us. Thanks!
  8. I'm pretty sure it just has to do with the naturalness of the hairline. The big "zig zag" surgeon is Dr. Diep. He is known for this. He claims no hairline is perfectly straight. He places a lot of single hair grafts in that zig zag pattern to make it look more natural.
  9. looks to be right on schedule. will most likely dense up over the next couple of months. keep us updated for sure!
  10. I guess I’m more saying that these tops surgeons are booked months to years in advance. I feel like we see 5% of those procedures results. I don’t like that lol. I realize it’s dependent on the patient returning a year later to show the results, but still...
  11. what is so bad/different about the lighting...? lol Doug - the result is great. I agree with you at first glance it just seems he needs some hairline work, but the crown was definitely thinning. Its nice that he was able to knock it all out in one shot. Do you know if he's on fin? I'm sure Hasson and Wong both have great skill in diffuse thinning? great result
  12. I'm glad I posted this then! Thanks harrylloyd! We need more people to speak up!
  13. What does your donor region look like grown out? is it thin? or can it get pretty heavy and dense? Looking at the pics, it would be hard to get dense coverage from front to back, but a skilled doctor can probably give you decent coverage with maybe 3500 grafts? the crown may still be bald though. I dont think theres anything that would help you on top though bud. Too late for fin & minox
  14. I always wonder why we never see more reviews and results from the main surgeons that are booked months to years in advance. I rarely see posts about Konior yet he is booked over a year out. You would think there would be more results posted. I'm not saying Konior doesnt do excellent work, its word of mouth at this point, but I would like to see more by him and the other big surgeons (Diep, Erdogan, etc...)
  15. I guess you have to have realistic expectations. It wont be super dense, but you might have nice coverage if you are lucky. I'm a little concerned with how it'll look with the hair in the middle section and how well it blends. Be ready to lose more hair... Good luck and keep us updated.
  16. Thanks Matt. I would hope not lol. But I guess I'm interested to hear surgeons stories about the subject. What they would do, etc. also laxity seems to change from the side of the head to the back of the head. its all crazy to me lol and it makes me nervous anyone?
  17. Hi community- I know all surgeons take precautions to avoid this scenario, and measurements and skill come into play... but what would happen if a surgeon took too wide of a strip from someone’s donor region, and could not close the flesh together? I don’t understand how people can have multiple FUTs
  18. I’ve been wondering the same would like to see more results from them
  19. I'm sorry that you are upset. However, I thought everyone getting FUT would know you could never shave your head clean after FUT...? or atleast get FUE and SMP put into it. It is a little wider than I would be happy with, but it should be covered once your hair grows out... no?
  20. dude you need to relax lol. those second wave of pics look way better than the first. where are you getting this 17% number and how are you/the doc getting this number?
