  1. Hey u guys thanks for chiming in with ur thoughts and posting ur hair transplant threads ,, it’s appreciated .. yeah I totally agree , as we get older it’s more difficult to look attractive .. I’ve always been fortunate to look a lot younger than my age so been blessed with having good fortune with the girls .. but as more hair is getting thinner ,, I’m losing more confidence in myself.. i guess I should feel lucky being a Norwood 2 heading into a Norwood 3 at 39 y/o.. but it’s the diffused thinning that’s getting me worried .. n when I look at my 3 brothers , in their 30’s n one in his 40’s .. they are Norwood 1 .. with thick hair .. much different than mine .. I don’t look like I’m balding but I’m really afraid at the thinness of my hair caliber right now ,, I might get a lot balder in 5 years .. so hopefully a ht into my frontal hairline will be able to give me an illusion of thick hair .. so keep on sharing ur ht journey , it’s really helpful ,, even when people don’t comment on it ,, there’s a lot of lurkers on the forum that don’t say much but watches ur journey n appreciates it ..
  2. Hey Cruz, most definitely u need more grafts . But at least u have more coverage now .. u better off than before .. n the hairs that grown ,, it does seem it will get thicker n stronger ,, especially since u light skinned it doesn’t look see through .. good luck n keep us updated .. thanks
  3. I think he’s a good surgeon from pictures online of his work .. they are in Beverly Hills so u know they will u treat u well .. since u be paying $8 a graft .. ask for travelers discount , n any special offers they have .. when I was booking with them they offered me free PRP n $1500 off for travelers discount because they advertised it on RealSelf , u have to mention it to them that u saw it there .. Send them good pictures , n express ur concerns about ur donor , if it’s good quality or not ...
  4. What’s your current status ? I don’t think u have enough grafts 3300 to cover that large a space .. more than likely u have to do another round.. please keep us updated .. thanks
  5. Hey Cruz .. ur hair is better than before .. but yeah the density is not there .. what are ur plans now ? Was it worth it ?
  6. Yeah man , that’s what I’m feeling too .. at first I was like I’m a low Norwood 2 heading to a 3.. it’s not a difficult case .. any surgeon can do the job .. but after spending time researching , that’s not true at all .. it’s a difficult n tedious surgery . Lots of things can go wrong during and after surgery .. . n it’s a moneymaker for the hair transplant buisiness ,, so everyone is doing it .. but not many clinics are great at it .. n since it’s cosmetic surgery , most don’t complain unless they get horrible results .. or unless they have great results then they give praises .. most of us are going to be in the category of average results .. .. So we don’t post about it ..
  7. Hey markee,, totally feeling U man .. I’ve kept up with ur ht journey .. hopefully u get the right surgeon for u .. I’m like u , fortunate to not experience hairloss until a later age In life , but it’s still difficult to deal with .. I feel a lot of emphaty for the younger folks having to deal with hairloss , it impacts who u are n self confidence .. but us middle aged guys have it rough too .. we getting older , n not as good looking anymore , we need all the advantages we can get to stay youthful n having less hair makes it tougher to feel young ..
  8. There’s been a few Nader patients here ... look up there thread and ask them for an update .. he’s a good doctor that does most of the work n is affordable at $2.5 a graft .. but it seems like most of his results are average and people have to go back for a second surgery for density ..
  9. Yeah I agree hairloss , don’t know why there aren’t more patient threads lately .. i think people are worried their transplant won’t look good so don’t even post until they are sure it’s goIng to turn out well .. im also worried now about my upcoming surgery .. it’s a big decision n a lot of money .. was hoping I can get a one shotter into my hairline n that it would last me for years before a second surgery .. but with so many not members having to get two transplants to fill in the density , it’s getting worrisome .. It seems like the good surgeons are getting so popular n getting more n more busy their results are suffering .
  10. It appears u had more collateral damage , n lost native hair .. if ur crown was thick n with only a small patch of crown loss .. it’s never advised to work on the crown just yet .. it’s very possible u got shockloss of the surrounding hairs ,, that’s why it does seem like u have a ring of loss hairs .. if those hairs were thick hopefully it will grow back ..
  11. Is it just me ,, but there has been a quite a few bad / okay / not so great hair transplants this year .. I’ve just been a member here for less than a year and have been following up with quite a few members transplants .. n not so many homeruns from patients posts .. only a few good ones.. the best results are from the clinics themselves .. so I encourage members here to keep updating ur threads n progress .. n also post ur current situation here .. it will help me n other members thinking about upcoming surgeries themselves .. to make the right decisions .. n have peace of mind .. thanks ..
  12. I’m not talking about ur transplanted hair though .. those hairs are not dht affected and the grafts already took .. I’m referring to ur native hair .. i have diffuse thinning .. so my hair falls out easier if I’m rough with it ..
  13. It depends how thin ur hair is ,, if it’s thin cuz of mpb, then it’s more easily to break or get yanked off .. especially when it’s wet .. n if u have mpb then u probably losing more hair than u are able to grow back .. so yeah u should be gentle on ur hair .. n don’t dry ur hair with a towel too vigorously either , let it air dry .. also get silk pillow sheets .. u get less hair fall when u sleep .. every hair u have on ur head right now is precious .. think of each one as an 8$ graft ..
  14. What’s ur update dan .. how’s things looking ? did u experience Any shockloss into ur native hair I’m the recipient area? Since u still had a lot of hair of hair there .. diep was able to transplant into it ? I still have a lot of vellus thin hair in my hairline .. I’m worried they won’t survive the trauma..
  15. Doctor feriduni is a great doc, with a lot of successful transplants. but in this case , his patient definitely didn’t get the result that he’s satisfied with .. hes a balding man with a high Norwood , a difficult case .. without a doubt .. but there’s been successes with high Norwood cases , look at Melvin n others on this forum . They got good hair now when they got a good surgery even with a high Norwood .. if the op didn’t have a good enough donor , n feridunis clinic didn’t they they can work on him they wouldn’t .. but they did .. n they did it twice ,, that’s double the money they took from him .. that’s thousands of dollars n wasted grafts n months of his time that he lost .. n the op is still calm about it .. so give him a break .. every clinic has their bad moments , not everyone will have good results , that’s why cosmetic surgery is not under warranty, it’s what the clinics do to make things better for their patients when things don’t go as planned .. n the effort of this forum to help make things better for both sides is what makes it credible when u recommend clinics... it’s this reason alone I choose to only trust clinics on this forum .. it’s when u stand by ur word n do what’s right for everyone involved..
  16. For reference , a good dense hairline would need about 2000 grafts to match the current hair u have now .. fill in ur temples n reinforce ur hairline .. u did 1700 grafts spread to ur hairline n crown , so it’s not going to be as dense as u want .. ur surgery didn’t go well but it wasn’t awful ,u just need more grafts .. m definitely not with the same clinic .. .50 cent discount per graft discount To waste more of ur donor on a clinic that didn’t do a great job seems like a bad plan ..
  17. A good transplant won’t look like that .. if u go to a good clinic n get good growth u would of not had a see through hairline .. u also had too little grafts transplanted for the amount of coverage u needed . This sux , u have to have to plan for the next step ..
  18. U a good father lookin out for your son like that .. but yeah the doctors won’t do surgery on him because he’s losing hair fast and will continue to lose hair ,, they want to let him age a few more years to see what Norwood he is headed .. if Prp isn’t working stop wasting money on it n save That money for future hair transplants .. I think the best thing u can do for him is be supportive like u are now .. But all is not lost ; post pic of his current hair n also his donor hair .. if he has good donor hair then he has hope .. all u can give him is hope, n develop a master plan .. that should make him less stressed .. he can try a hair system when he starts college .. since no one there will no he’s balding with a hair system .. Also , u have to do ur do diligence to find him a good surgeon ,, the worse thing u can do is get him into a bad clinic that will leave him worse than before n waste his grafts , cuz he’s going to need every one , since he’s destined for a few transplant in his lifetime.. U can also motivate him to go college N focus his energy into that since he’s not sociable , he can be a smart n educated .. U can motivate him by letting him know if he wants hair transplants he’s going to need a lot of money , so he has to get get his degree to make money so he can pay for future transplants .. I would advise contacting a few doctors recommended on this forum n develop a relationship with them for the future transplants..
  19. I was wondering about this ,, is it better to extract just one side n leave the other side for future extractions since there be no scarring tissue there for later .. but won’t it make one side less dense than the other when ur hair grows out ? Or is it better to plan it out and harvest on both sides to have the extractions evenly distributed ? I’m wondering about this , so I can tell my surgeon what I prefer .. please advise ..
  20. Fut is still a great procedure that has shown great results.. but come on , that indentation of the scar , u don’t think his options r limited later in life ? It’s going to be very hard to cover an indentation that bumpy , especially when he needs more transplants later in life n have less donor hair to cover it up ..
  21. That’s the thing with Fut.. even though the scar incision is supposedly pencil thin .. the shock loss of native hairs around the scar , makes it a lot wider than it should be , N the skin stretching and the worse part the indentation of the scar , making the scalp bumpy around the scar area is the worse .. makin it hard to hide with a buzz cut ..
  22. Choose doctor Bhatti hands down .. can’t compare having the doctor perform ur surgery compared to techs doing most of the work .
  23. Hey serated steel, sorry if I came out kinda harsh on u.. but with ur question I felt empathy for u , but when I clicked on ur link expecting a high Norwood on a young man .. n seeing u a Norwood 1 with no signs of miniaturization , it’s like are u kidding me .. y r u wasting ur energy n stress worrying about ur hair .. u got grownup things to worry about like school n work n family .. once u see thinner hairs on the crown or the hairline then u should start to take notice , good nutrition , n a healthy lifestyle then meds if things progress then lastly a hair transplant to replace hairs u lost n can’t get back .. until then ur worries shouldn’t be ur hair but love a good life ..
