  1. Wait for how things grow out .: but honestly it’s not lookin natural at the moment .. n don’t cheap out on urself,; do ur research n get a clinic that cares about u n know what they doing ,. It’s embarassing if that clinic felt it was okay to give u that this gap of space.:
  2. Yeah I’m okay with u jazer,, u have a lot of knowledge n helpful .. n say things like they are .. I was one of the rookies trying to get a ht, started panicking when the hairloss became obvious .. so pretty grateful , I haven’t yet . I’m still nervous about it myself .. fear of future balding n playing catch-up .. n money ... n my situation is not as bad as other members here .. so best of luck to us all ..
  3. I’m having surgery about the same area as u,. N it be 2000 grafts just to give u perspective .. but don’t feel bad .. I was about to get 1200 grafts on my hairline 8 months ago .. good thing it was canceled at the last minute .. my hair loss progressed , n I’m more knowledgeable now , so u probably also .. take ur time to plan ur next step.. don’t go chasing ur hairline .. wait a few years . let the hairloss progress further, then come back to dense pack the hairline , n other areas that have lost hairs.. n if u don’t go on meds like gasthore said ,, u going to have issues ,, u have a lot of hair that’s very precious right now .. n they likely to go away if u don’t take care of them ..
  4. The work looks good .. u just didn’t have enough grafts .. so don’t expect it to be dense ..
  5. This is a horrible story . I almost fell for the marketing also when I first researched hair transplants .. it’s a bad tool , only positive it has is that it’s able to map out ur donor n choose the thicker hairs . N that’s only going to happen if the clinic has enough experience n training using this machine .. if u can’t tell why around 500 grafts didn’t survive for transplant it’s because a machine is punching holes into ur head .. so it’s not able to know how hard it’s impacting ur scalp .. causing trauma to surrounding hairs n damage done to extracted hairs ., I don’t need to be doctor to understand that .. did the clinic insist on using the Artas? Or did u ? They just experimenting on u with that machine ., the clinics paid a lot of money for that Robot ,, they trying to get that money back .
  6. Jazer .. why r u on this forum if u going to bash on us balding bros .. u balding n so are we .. This forum is not like before .. we are here To help each other n give support .. n dude I have a lot more hair than u .. so don’t go there .. n I feel kinda ugly n depressed as I’m aging n it’s a natural process .. it’s understood .. but don’t go around making others feelin bad about wanting to improve on their hairloss .. no one wants to get a hair transplant ok? It’s just something we want to do to make us feel better .. I always thought u was helpful .. but seems like u a troll now ..
  7. JaZer , u missing the point .. most people on here don’t want a hair transplant .. I never did n still don’t want to .. it’s not a cure ..’but what other choice do we have .. hair is hair ,, but when u start losing it , n it doesn’t grow back ., what are we suppose to do ? I’ve been on finasteride for a year now .. I was really hoping n wishing it was a miracle drug .. it’s not . My hair has receded further n thinning even more .. but I’m going to stick with it .because hopefully it’s helping . It’s better than me doing nothing . I don’t feel no side effects , it just becomes a routine .. something u must do to prevent or maintain what u have now .. As for hair transplants .. I don’t want get one .. the thought of surgery n thousands of dollars upsets me .. but what else do us balding brothers have ? It’s fin for prevention n maintainence . N hair transplants to recover some of what we lost ., there’s just no way to get around those facts .. everyone hates fin , n transplants, but what choice do we have to gain back what we lost ?
  8. I know I be getting a staggered hairline with a lot of zig zags,, it will give the illusion of ur hairline being lower than what it is .. that way it will cover ur forehead more .. It will also draw the attention away from ur hairline n let the focus be more towards ur face .. with a straight hairline , first thing u look at is the hairline .. n with someone with a hairtransplant u don’t want people to notice ur hairline , it will make u feel uncomfortable .. the hair is to frame the face , not to draw attention to it ..
  9. Yeah I suspect I might have some thyroid issues ,, n thought the excessive sweating was just my High metabolism .. n the thinning hair was just me aging .. I’m only 39 though .. with no known family history of hair loss .. so I think my mpb is not aggressive , but if health issues is also thinning my hair, I fear my hair loss will get worse .. i have an Apple Watch .. n it checks my heat rate bpm.. it’s usually on the high end 100bpm that fluctuates constantly .. usually when ur hair is thinning or falling out easily n it’s not aggressive MPB it’s our body telling us something is not right with our health. .. well keep us updated on ur progress.. ur hair is lookin good though .. the thick hairline will mask the thinning on top ..
  10. Hey dan , what symptoms are did u have before u got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism? And what tests did the doctor take to diagnose u n at what age ? i have a feeling I might have that too .. fatigue , brittle fine hair , n sensitivy to heat , it’s like my body can’t regulate my hormones n temperature .. I will sweat profusely n easily on my scalp whenever I Its kinda hot .. like dripping wet .. I want to go get that check up , n get on the appropriate meds so my hair don’t thin out ..
  11. Hey Melvin , when I go see his diep later this year . I definitely tell him u said hello .. u probably one of his favorite patients :) I’m still debating whether I want to document my surgery however .. but we shall see ..
  12. Yes I have an upcoming surgery date with doctor diep at the end of this year .. I’m in no rush .. I booked it in March .. so was on a 8 month waiting list.. I don’t really mind however .: it fits my work schedule , n I already accepted that I have mpb n my hairloss is progressive .. so the longer I wait the more my hair will thin n recede, that way I can get as much grafts as I can into my hairline , 2000 grafts.. zone 1 n 2 . About 2 inches deep .: but densed pack ., that should build a good foundation to mask further hairloss as I thin more on top . Currently I’m not panicking into getting surgery because I’m older now ,. N I still have full coverage .. hairs not great but it’s not bad .. but yeah I’m looking forward to getting my first transplant ,, imma have great hair again.. hopefully it will last me a few years .. before I have to get another .. I already accepted that imma have to spend $16,000 for that 2000 grafts .. I’m frugal on myself .. n don’t like spending money .. but I might as well... i already have a nice enough car ,, it don’t make me happy .. but getting back 5 years of my youth will .
  13. Yea dan .. a lot of meds that people have to take for their health , can n will affect or accelerate their hairloss .. n eventually everyone will have to take some sort of meds for their health .. if not now u will when U get older .. and every meds will have a side effect .
  14. Once ur hair grows u wont notice it as much .. but dude u overseas , it’s a lot cheaper there .. u can afford the extra cost tell the doctor u want to spend more money n u want it done .. when u not satisfied u not going to be happy with the transplant .. in ur eyes it’s not how u want it .. n since u still there , might as well get it done .. yeah it sux to have to go through another surgery no matter how small .. but hey this is ur moment , u paid good money n u traveled really far for this .. n yes it is a bit higher .. on one side n u will probably notice it if u comb ur back or cut it short .. n u will always regret not doing it now, because everytime u look in the mirror u will notice it .. others won’t, but u will ..
  15. Looks great dan , I notice most of dieps patients have early growth n good density by the 5- 6th month mark. Ur hairline has looks a lot better , should of done it years ago but yeah most medications that thins ur blood will cause some hairloss , since u have less blood flowing to ur scalp . .. I noticed that too back when i had to take medications , it triggered my MPB.. makes me kinda sad when I look at my brothers n my dads hair .. all Norwood’ 1 with thick hair in their 30’s n forties .. n still growing strong .. unlike me .. I let my hair caliber shrink too much , n didn’t get onto finasteride soon enough . Oh well .. just got to deal with the situation. Now .. happy growing dan ..
  16. Thanks JS .. it’s good to know ur story .. Man U started ur hairloss battle at a young age when hairtransolants n meds were at its infancy .. i got a lot of respect and empathy for ya.. I can see why now u don’t approve of younger guys or guys with minimal hairloss to take the transplant route .. it’s a tough journey n most people don’t realize that .: including myself .. thanks to u n spidey ,, I’m really glad I didn’t get my surgery for 1200 grafts in December .. I lost more hair during these 8 months .. I feel so naive , didn’t know anything about hair loss n was just going to choose Any clinic ,, n have no gameplan for future transplants.. I be chasing my hairline right now ., so im really appreciating this forum lately ,, u get honest advice ,,
  17. Hey JS good to head from u .. n great advice .. I know u have a couple of surgeries already with good doctors .. but how come u still not satisfied with the results ? . I’m worried myself going down this surgery path n be stuck on getting hair transplants for the rest of my life .. How many grafts have u transplanted already ? N isn’t most of hair transplants now ? Why still so heavy on the mess ? Aren’t most ur transplanted hairs dht resistant ?
  18. Okay guys .. thanks for replying .. I will keep up with ur threads .. it’s always good for everyone to be able to track ur process .. n I totally Agree this forum has many good members , that’s supportive .. I never felt comfortable having to deal with my own hair loss situation ,, at first I was blaming on myself , I wasn’t taking good care of my hair n took it for granted .. but this forum have helped me understand that hairloss is a natural process ,, it happens ! N the better informed n knowledgeable about hairloss the better we be able to deal with it n hopefully get our hair to a point where we are comfortable with ourselves .. best wishes ..
  19. If this ur ur 2 month result . U have great potential for a good outcome . ur hair caliber looks thick.. that’s a good start .. keep us updated .
  20. I think dr doganay got banned off the recommendened list because of a few bad results,, he used to be good .. but got too busy n neglected his patients .. when money comes before the patients u lose buisiness.. but yeah if I were u get an in person consultation .. there’s no one on here that can determine what path u should go without examining u personally .. hairloss is a difficult issue .. so best u give ur self a chance n see someone in person .. u do have options .. ur hairloss isn’t that bad .. the hair u have looks thich .. it’s the diffusing that’s giving u problems .. n ur donor is below average .. but maybe it’s just cuz it’s short .. so I don’t know .. don’t give up hope .. go get ur self checked out ..
  21. Yes they can take hair from where ever u some.. if the surgery n surgeon is good .. they be able to do it with a good survival rate .. I don’t mean to be a downer .. but u have a tough battle .. n if u want to go down that route choose who u have surgery with carefully .. n u need to hop on meds .. finasteride . It’s a good defense for diffuse thinners .. the side effects are rare ,, If u care about ur keeping ur hair u have no choice .. it’s not a miracle drug : but it helps making ur hair stronger n not fall out as easily.. I’ve been on it for a year .. n my hairline seems to be worse ,: but overall I have less Hair fall .. n the feeling of u actually able to control ur hairloss while on meds , is a good thing .. I was feeling depressed seeing my hair just fall out when I shake my head .. so my hair is more manageable now . Hopefully urs will stabilize too . Good luck.. also with some toppik ur hair won’t be so bad . It be good if u need to go out for special occasions . U won’t look bald .. just thinning hair .
  22. If I were u I wouldn’t even consider a hair transplant.. think about it ,, hair transplants do not magically grow new stronger hair .. all u doing is transplanting the current hair u have in the back to the top of ur scalp .. ur donor hair seems to be just as weak n patchy as the top of ur scalp .. u won’t get a dense result no matter how much hair u move .. not only that ,, but u still have a lot of viable hair up top , just patchy in some areas .. do u not think that those native hairs will survive the trauma of surgery ? It’s not like u have a bald spot to fill in .. u have diffused thinnin all over .. making ur case difficult .. even if it’s successful ,, n u don’t get too much shockloss ,, those native hairs will be gone in a few years .. putting u in the same situation u are now .. n u won’t have enough donor hair to correct it .. well those are my thoughts ..
  23. I think there’s many reasons people don’t want to post , n a lot of us don’t want to get criticized for choosing the wrong doctor or not having a good game plan .. n when we have complications , not enough growth , bumpiness of the skin , prolonging redness ,, over harvesting etc .. these things are not that rare . It happens ... But yeah .. a lot of the top clinics are booked months out ., u would hope there be more posts or pictures from the clinics.. it seems like only the ones with a great transplant or bad one will post .. but the average ones . ( the majority of us probably ) won’t make the time to .. we don’t want to get ridiculed for not having great results, or we not upset enough to complain... but it’s a good idea to post ur journey , so u n the clinic can track ur progress .. also it helps other members .. it’s one thing I like about this forum .. the mods will stand by their recommendations and speak on ur behalf to the clinic to work things out when there is a bad result .... hopefully we all get good results .. but it’s surgery .. things don’t always go smoothly .. p.s.. can the forum moderators, web administrators put the option like we had before to see the posts of the day .. currently it’s latest 5 posts . N newest thread .. I know it’s mobile friendly so it’s smaller , but there should be an option to see posts of the whole day .. or else we going to miss a lot of threads.. thanks
  24. Great input guys ,, it’s nice to hear how everyone is feeling .. n Sean , I’ve read ur story on here from when u had ur first transplant and ur repair surgery ... it’s always good to hear u on here .. so what’s going on with u now ? I
  25. This is one of my biggest fears of a ht.. the cobblestonning ,, bumpiness of the skin ..it should be common sense that this would happen ,, incisions into ur skin , or hairs that are implanted incorrectly .. lots of variables that can cause the skin to look bumpy while the growing hair n the damage to the scalp will cause this effect .. but if we heal right .. it should correct itself .. it takes time some longer than others .. im also worried about the redness too .. some takes longer to heal than others ,, it’s the risk we take when we do surgery .. our scalp just got a hit with a few thousand cuts n bruises , our body is good at healing thought .. give it some time .. best wishes
