  1. I agree with Htsoon. He always gives great advice especially for younger people. Don't rush into anything you might regret later. Nobody is saying you are not a candidate but at your age it's hard to tell where you will end up. Hair loss can turn aggressive at any time. You are doing the right thing by trying the meds but at some point they may not have efficiency anymore. Don't put too much stock in what your brothers hair loss is. My brothers have completely different hair patterns than I do. You are not a lost cause so don't think that is what we are saying. You should start meeting with doctors that have ethics and won't steer you in the wrong way.
  2. Great to see you were taken care of by your doctor that is nice to hear. Wish you the best on your final results.
  3. You will get a different list from everyone on here. Konior, Cooley, Gabel, Shapiro
  4. I also saw the videos on you tube. You got really nice results. Huge change for you. Congrats.
  5. Sorry to hear about this Lorenzo. You help a lot of people on here. I send you my prayers and best wishes that you beat this.
  6. I recommend you contact Dr. Jerry Cooley. He is one of the finest doctors there is and he has shown fine results for women.
  7. Lebron always wore a headband to cover it. It fell off during the finals when he was with Miami and everyone saw it. This was back in 2013 . Once word got out he didn't really try and hide it anymore.
  8. I think your crown still looks great spanker.
  9. The sad thing is doctors tell patients that two percent of people get side effects. That is a complete lie. The numbers are much greater. Everyone I personally know has gotten side effects from it. I still think meds are important when considering surgery but who knows what this stuff is really doing to us. I got severe brain fog when I started taking it and loss of libido. I cut the dose in half have had no sides now but I wonder what it is doing to me long term. I honestly think in time it will be one of those drugs you see in those late night infomercials with lawyers seeking compensation for messed up people. It's sad there is no alternative to this.
  10. Congrats on finally having your procedure. You picked an excellent doctor one of the very best in my opinion. Look forward to following your progress. I wish you happy growing.
  11. Did you get a reply from Dr Cooley's office yet?
  12. That's a nice result Tav. It took some years off you for sure. Good to hear Dr Umar took care of any problem issues you had. Congrats on your new hair.
  13. Just a guess here but I know doing the no shave makes it more tedious for the doctor. Since Dr K does basically the entire procedure himself from star to finish it would make it all that more tedious and fatigue could become an issue.
  14. I don't think it's retro alopecia Spanker. I have it and it doesn't look like that. You have a great head of hair many of us are jealous. I agree with the others that it's nothing to worry about.
  15. Yes that is correct. It's all about supply and demand. You need to have the right amount of good hair in the donor area to replace the areas of loss.
  16. Not surprised you had problems with Diep and a skype consult. My personal experience there was not a good one. I think he does really good work but the office is a mess and needs a drastic change. I did not have a procedure there so I am not talking negatively about the surgery but the office is a mess and led me to go else where.
  17. Who knows it could be his hairline but if it's smp it looks great. Nothing is worse than what Carlos Boozer did a few years ago with his paint on hair. If you don't know about that google it.I don't know how he kept a straight face with that on his head.
  18. I think Dr Bhatti has given you the best advice. He sees this on a regular basis so I believe what he says. Without meds your future loss is a guarantee . I would think long and hard about going down this road of getting a procedure without meds. Don't let anyone online here or any online consult decide what you do. Meet with doctors in person and be evaluated. Educate yourself as much as you can then make the smart choice.
  19. Wesley is a really good doctor but I agree 250 is aggressive. But he might apply that money to the cost of surgery if you choose to go with him like some others do. Unlike Bauman in Boca Raton where it feels like you get charged the second you pull in the parking lot . They nickle and dime you for everything.
  20. Both are great my personal two favorite doctors on this site. I would never say a negative word about either of them. I will say Doctor Konior was booked out eight months in advance so you will have a longer wait.
  21. Harebrained this clinic or what we choose to call a house of horrors has really affected some of us on here. It is one of the worst things I have ever seen. It needs to be shut down. The only good thing is that Sanjar has been chosen for a free transplant from Dr Mohebi. I really respect Dr. Mohebi for his compassion . This will not be an easy case . It's really nice to see there are people out there that care about people. I feel for all of the others that have been butchered by this nightmare of a place. Best thing we can do is keep these threads open so someone that googles it will see it and avoid it.
  22. Really impressive results. I followed your first procedure from beginning to end and really thought that was a nice result. This one is just the slam dunk. You have a killer hairline now will have density. Now it's just a bonus every month for you just watch it thicken and improve. Congrats.
  23. They are both great doctors well respected and won't steer you wrong. Most shock loss grows back but like I said if you have hairs on they way out meaning shrunken hair it won't. Just google and research it so you get a better understanding of it. Wish you the best my friend.
