  1. 13 500$ - I opted for a no-shave placement of the grafts.
  2. I have quite a receded hairline already. So no grafts were placed below my actual hairline. About half the grafts were placed in the frontal third of my scalp, and the rest divided evenly on my mid-scalp and crown. I don't plan on posting pictures on the website as I work with the public although I understand that it unfortunately take away a bit of credibility of my positive review here.
  3. I just wanted to write a few words about my FUT with Dr Konior which I underwent this last week. I only have positive things to say about my experience. Everything I read on this website and expected from the surgery was true and even above expectations. Also, working myself in the medical field, I tend to be quite critical of every little things which could go wrong. But nothing did. I am truly impressed by Dr Konior's skills and professionalism. And every member of his staff are really top notch, respectful and caring. I arrived full of fears and anxiety and am now leaving calm and very grateful about the work they did. Many months of waiting for growth ahead of me, but I am already very confident of the results to come. There is no doubt in my mind that I chose the best team of professionals. Please feel free to message me through this website with questions, I would be more than happy to help as this forum made my decision much easier to take.
  4. Hmmm... I guess I'll hold off then. I don't think 3 more months of Rogaine in my lifetime would make such a difference anyways ahah!
  5. I've been on Finasteride for 2 years now. I take it only 3 days per week, more than that gave me side effects.
  6. I am booked for an FUT in about 3 months. I was originally only using finasteride, but I plan on adding rogaine to my treatment regimen. Is it worth starting now, even if I know I'll have to stop for some weeks around my FUT in 3 months, or should I just wait after the FUT before starting? Thanks for your opinions!

  8. Is the Kirkland one unscented ?
  9. Hi! I am currently on Finasteride and am tempted to add Rogaine to my regimen, although I am somewhat scared of the possible shedding in the first few months. In Canada we can find Rogaine foam over the counter, although the packaging doesn't mention ''Unscented'' as compared to the american version of the packaging. . Anyone knows if I have to expect somewhat of a scent with the Canadian Rogaine? Or is it exactly the same thing that's sold in the US? I would buy it to test it... but they sell it 140$ here so I would rather not make a mistake ahahah! Thanks in advance for your help !!
  10. Having trouble coordinating with the secretary of Dr. Cooley.... She seems to be the person doing the consultations.
  11. There was no explanation as to why the upper limit.... But I assumed it was to limit shock loss of the native hair. Fatigue probably comes into play as well.
  12. esrec : Browsing through the forum here, it became clear that the fact that I went through a hair transplant would be obvious for at least 2 months post-op, by the time my hair grew back at least 1 inch. Redness on the forehead would still be difficult to hide by then. I have a very active career working with the public and I can't afford either being away for that period of time or having to answer my regular client's questions about what happened. I want no one to know or to ask
  13. Still waiting for an answer from Cooley's team. As for Konior, I received an answer within a day... Their limit for no-shave techniques are 2500 grafts though. As I want front and crown coverage I wonder if it would be enough to make a difference.
  14. Hi! I want to book a hair transplant with a good surgeon who would offer the possibility of not shaving the recipient area. So far, I came up with Konior and Cooley as being my top 2 candidates. Any insider's thoughts on which I should choose between those two? Thanks! PS. I really don't want to shave the recipient area.... so no need to list all the advantages of shaving, I already know the pros and cons.
  15. Anyone here who had experience with Cooley and could provide feedback from his non-shaving technique ?
