  1. Congrats bro. I haven't been on here that much lately but let me say they couldn't have made a better choice. I know you will do an amazing job.
  2. First thing you need to do is relax. You chose one of the best surgeons around. I know this because I had a procedure with him over a year and a half ago. I don't think you have anything to worry about by cutting your hair. What I will tell you is that you have a long day ahead of you tomorrow so if possible try and get some rest. I am guessing you are staying at the Hilton Garden. I would suggest getting up a little early and getting some food at the buffet in the morning. The hotel with provide you transportation to the clinic which is about 5 minutes away. The nurse will check your vitals when you first arrive then Dr Cooley will come in and go over the procedure. If I can remember correctly my surgery was over about 6pm. Trust me when I say they day flies by rather quickly. I spent a lot of time talking to Dr Cooley and Brandi his amazing lead technician. I wasn't in very much pain after the surgery. I actually walked to the food lion grocery store after I got back to the hotel. I expected to be bed ridden but it wasn't like that at all. Most important advice I have is follow the instructions about using the spray they give you it makes all the difference in your healing. The day after your surgery you will go in for a hair wash and an examination. Then it's a big waiting game. I wish you best of luck but trust me you are in great hands with Dr Cooley.
  3. Sorry you are suffering with this. Whatever doctor you used did a poor job his fault not yours. Hope you can find a way to fix this.
  4. Most are on French forums. That other forum if you know what I mean with the radio show talk about him like he is the future. Who knows.
  5. He is my favorite fue surgeon from what I have seen and Diep is second from what I have seen. Yes I have ripped Diep for his fut and bed side manner but he has produced fantastic fue results hard to ignore. I really love Konior at fut but I honestly believe Diep is better at fue than him or H and w. After what I personally have been through I would never choose anyone over Cooley but just my opinion of what he did for me. When a doctor comes through and does what he says it's normal people vouch for their doctor. Lupanzula does great work from what I have seen .
  6. An honest person can't really give an answer or speculate unless they have had a surgery with a surgeon. The lists people beat others down with on here is meaningless in my opinion.
  7. Doubt you will get many if any responses here. Most on here that go to Canada choose Hasson and Wong or Rahl.
  8. Wow thanks for posting that hsrp10. I read that entire thread cannot believe what I read there. That thread was really quite disturbing. Feel horrible that kid screwed up his life like that and ignored some great advice. Very important reading for anyone young considering a procedure.
  9. I agree with the others I would do nothing for now. That hair line is way to low and unrealistic for when you age. You could get it done and continue to lose hair behind it and stuck with an island of hair and look really bad. You will constantly need to have surgeries and will run out of donor. Believe me many of us were where you are when we started thinking about having something done but learned what is realistic through research. Before you decide to do anything you need to have a long term plan for the future as hair loss is progressive. You are so young it may at this time be difficult to establish what your eventual hair loss pattern will be. It doesn't mean you can't eventually do something about your hair loss but take your time and don't rush into anything. If I had gotten a transplant done five years ago and put my hairline where I wanted I would be screwed now.
  10. You have great hair and a ton of people would be envious on here I wouldn't do anything risk shock loss to what you have.
  11. Dr Cooley explained it has a lot to do with the centrifuge that is used. Problem with the bad rap prp gets is there are a lot of people doing it wrong so people think all prp treatments are the same and they are not. I wouldn't do it with anyone that didn't do research to back it up. There are some very interesting videos Of Dr Greco explaining it on the internet.
  12. Most on here regard it as snake oil . I saw some pretty good stand alone procedures when I was in Dr Cooley's office. He never tried to sell me on it in fact he said I didn't need it. From what he told me it can shorten the amount of grafts a person might need but is not a replacement for surgery. The problem is there are a lot of clinics doing it wrong just using it as a profit tool. Dr Cooley has done studies and published medical reports on prp. The guy that pioneered prp is a Doctor Joseph Grecko in Florida. There is a bunch of info on him online. He was featured on the radio show from that other website. From what I have seen prp is mostly used for women who can't have transplants or in someone with dupa that is a non candidate for surgery.
  13. Diep does really impressive fue but his fut sucks in my opinion. If you research you will find evidence of poor scarring and shock loss. I would never go with him if it wasn't fue.
  14. You got some amazing improvements from the meds. I don't know if I would change anything. I was doing 1mg had sides and cut it down and sides have gone away. Still seems to be doing it's job. You might not get sides seem like a good responder but let me tell the sides are miserable. Mine were not sexual more brain fog and confusion enough to scare the hell out of me.
  15. It didn't end pretty there was some kind of falling out with the higher ups on here we never got the whole story. If you check history on here it may be in there.
  16. There is a former patient advisor of your first doctor that has information on his personal website as he represents him. I don't think we are allowed to say his name but I am sure you can tell who I am talking about. Dr Lupanzula does all of the extractions and slits himself but not sure about graft placement.
  17. 4000-5000 for a NW3 is ridiculous. It's good you realize this is way too high a number. Choose wisely you only have so many grafts to deal with the loss you will have in the future.
  18. Gabel is a similar surgeon to Konior but so is Cooley. I actually believe Cooley is elite with his solutions he has developed. I had almost zero swelling and my scar has healed and is a non issue now. Cooley was present for about 97 percent of the surgery. Gabel and Cooley are not noticed enough on this site.
  19. After looking at a patients thread today I saw Dr Gabel also does the laser treatment after surgery. Does it help? Who knows?
  20. There have been posts where doctors don't even do the slits for the grafts techs do those too. Most of those were in Turkey if I can remember correctly but I might be wrong. Best tool a potential patient has is research over and over.
  21. As far as grafts not surviving I agree with what hsrp10 has posted. As far as patients not being happy I think unrealistic expectations is the number one thing. There are limits to what a transplant can do. Nobody will get back their hair from their teen years. It's the illusion of coverage that should be the objective.
