Jagged, Receded, Natural Buzz Look
Spidey replied to hairthere's topic in Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
I think the mistake most clinics and patients make when getting SMP is the ridiculously symmetrical and "perfect" hairline. This is one of the best results I have seen, and it is because it isn't perfect! Btw, do you have examples of SMP for FUE scars? -
looking really good. you will notice a significant difference from month 7-9 as well as the hairs start to mature
-
Jesus dude your 14 month updates are insane. Easiest the best results I've seen, especially coming from where you started. You are lucky you have good hair quality and we're able to go through with as many procedures as you did. Nothing new on my end except the hair quality getting straighter and smoother. I am going to go into the clinic for my 12 month pics in mid August.

aftermath Just wondering if you had pics of immediate post op for the hairline work done. The reason I ask is because if I decide to get a touchup done in the future for any further thinning or just from hair greed, I want to know if Dr Hasson still shaves a large area where the hair will be transplanted, or if it is a small procedure, he will opt to not shave the area... also, you may have posted this earlier, but are you on any meds? Thanks
-
trashpanda is right, my recipient area was shaved down, but only in the area that was receiving grafts. The area behind the recipient area wasn't shaved down at all. I would recommend going in with a buzzed head anyways, it will make growing out a lot better.... The only downside would be that you wouldn't be able to really hide the pinkness during the following months.
-
Oh really? Maybe the prices are different depending on your ip. Or maybe they've changed since I had my procedure. I paid what was on their site in cdn dollars.
-
9 months in... comparing it to the 7 month mark, you can see there was still improvement... Very happy with the results. Only annoying thing is still some of the hairs are crinkly  next update will be 12 months.
-
HW.. even more reason so due to the crap cdn dollar
-
The fact that HW does inspect every single graft extracted by FUE means they can be and are confident the survival rate of their grafts are high, as much as FUT. I wonder how many FUE Drs out there inspect each graft under a scope to ensure the the grafts are good... The only thing I wonder about is how many grafts are implanted vs how many are extracted... I know you pay for what is implanted, but I wonder what the rate of actual transection/grafts that are "thrown" out because they aren't "good".

OP, why don't you just cut the sides and back shorter and leave the top long... like the current trend (modern pomp)- 53 replies

7 month update in harsh lighting. 2000 FUE

in this day and age, you would think people would be able to take good pictures with the type of phones that are out there now... sorry to sound like a dick, but it just surprises me the amount of poor quality pics are posted on this site. -
4,200 grafts FUT dr. Hasson Feb. 03, 2016
Spidey replied to Dutchie's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Recipient area is healing very nicely and good redness reduction. I still have lingering pinkness in the recipient area (which you can't see unless you really look for it up close and through my new hairs). But it does cause a bit of concern for me when I decide to eventually shave my head if my MPB progresses in my later years.. Hopefully by then the redness will be completely gone... -
Being a month in everything looks pretty good in terms of your scar. I'm not a Dr but I would assume if something were to go sideways you would get some implications by now.
-
What do you expect any of us to say? . For one you need to stop browsing the net for worst case scenario. Keloid scars can happen even with fue. If you're gonna get one you're gonna get one. People get it from getting their ears pierced too. Just relax, especially since like you said, you have no reason to believe you are gonna get one. You're pretty late in the healing anyways.

4,200 grafts FUT dr. Hasson Feb. 03, 2016
Spidey replied to Dutchie's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
The three month timeline is just a general number, on avg... For me, I started to notice things happening at the one month mark but nothing really that noticeable until the three month mark, then from there every week or so produced more and more.. I am at month 8 and I can safely say that I will not see anymore growth... I am happy with the growth as it looks like at least 90% of my grafts have grown. I am just waiting for the hair to straighten and look more like my native hairs as some of the transplanted hairs are crinkly. -

I also had the dilemma of trying to hide mine with longer hair or buzz it all around... it sucks waiting for the whole head of hair to grow out, but it will look more even .. If you are one of the lucky ones where the redness fades pretty early, no one will really notice you did anything, unless you are self conscious of the receded hairline.. Either way you will have to live with a funky mushroom cut or a buzz cut for a few months..- 53 replies

Incision one day, grafts th next day
Spidey replied to tomyco's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Pretty sure op meant sites were made Day one. And day two grafts were removed and implanted. Not sites made and grafts removed day one, and implanted day two. If he did mean the latter, that would be ridiculous... Not that making sites a day prior is not ridiculous already. -
Incision one day, grafts th next day
Spidey replied to tomyco's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
who is this latest Dr? I'm no Dr, but I would assume that if the recipient sites are created a day prior, it would already be healing up and scabbing by the next day... seems very odd ... those sits would probably be closed by the next day.... -
If you search, you will see it is normal to see shock loss from your donor area... If you are really concerned, email/contact the clinic.

5,140 FUT grafts with Dr Jerry Wong (29/07/2015)
Spidey replied to cueball16's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
looking at your pre op pics, it seems like you were pretty much slick bald on the top minus a few hairs here and there... IMO, it probably isn't much benefit to take FIN or even rogaine since the vast majority of the hair on your head now is transplanted hair.. just my 2 cents -

2000 Graft FUE by Dr De Reys in Belgium
Spidey replied to VegetasWidowsPeak's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
The hairs just don't appear out of no where... they will be very fine at first and as they grow longer, the base gets thicker. Some people think the hairs just grow out thick, and some think they grow fine, then fall out and grow thicker as each hair cycle, which isn't true. Initially, they grow fine, and as they grow longer the base gets a bit thicker and thicker... If you look at some of the new hairs, you will see the top is thinner than the base. Usually the thin part breaks off. If the hair actually shed each time the hair gets thicker, it would take forever for the hair to grow. -
Another Colorado Hair Institute in Lone Tree, CO horror story.
Spidey replied to Dzl210's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
You are lucky they didn't perform their "fue" plug procedure on you... Even with minimal/no growth on your transplanted area, at least the recipient area looks good and isn't scarred up... The good news is that a good Dr can fix that scar, and with SMP or FUE into the scar, it can be drastically improved. -
FUE 3665 Grafts - Dr. Bhatti - May 1st 2015
Spidey replied to techie's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Don't want to be a downer, but I don't think you will be seeing that much more growth from here on in... at least to the point where you will be satisfied with the results. By the 9 month mark, you should see more or less the final results except some refining... Just a question, how long do you generally keep your hair on the sides/back?
