  1. I think there's a difference between making the hair look "worse" than it is, and to reveal the extend of the hairloss.. When my hair was styled and laid somewhat naturally, you could not really see the extent of my hairloss. Majority of people would even say I was a NW1 and had not issues, but once you pulled the hair back you could definitely see the extend of my recesssion...
  2. Very true. Have you only consulted with the Drs in Europe, or in North America as well? When I booked with HW, they were able to get me in pretty promptly, but maybe it was just timing seeing that Dr Wong and Dr Hasson tour the world year round.
  3. 7 months in. Hairs denser than the 6 month mark. They are still pretty wirey/crinky in texture. I am very pleased at this point. The pictures I have taken are me straight out of bed with no product in my hair and the worst possible lighting (as I have tried to consistently do with all my pics). The last pic is generally how it really looks in avg/normal lighting. If I am not lazy, I will take some pictures with my hair styled. I am not sure if I will see any further results other than the change in hair texture, although there are some pimples that may mean some late bloomers. Next update won't be until the 9 or 10 month mark.
  4. your transplanted hair goes through the same hair cycles as the rest of your head.. they are probably just going through the shedding phase, some 2 years later,... On another note, I would stay away from head and shoulders.. just full of chemicals... Just stick with the sulfate and paraben free stuff.
  5. Using a blow dryer in general is a must as it will make the hair lighter and fuller looking.
  6. sorry, didn't realize you had FUT as your profile doesn't mention anything about having a HT.
  7. personally, I would buzz the hair . You seem to have a good head shape, and your hairline is still pretty good in that it will still frame your face well... I think it would takes years off your age if you kept it buzzed
  8. It has thickened up since my latest update, yes. I will post a 7 month update in a couple of weeks. From there it will be a 9 12 and 18 month updates.
  9. How long ago was this? Because now it doesn't state what currency it is.
  10. Your body reacting to types of foods isn't so much whether the food is bad in regards to junk food, but how your body reacts to it. A lot of people's bodies cannot deal with dairy and or wheat. As a result they have different symptoms, whether it is digestive side effects, skin conditions, etc, each person reacts differently. For me, if I cut out dairy and wheat, my health improves quite a bit. You may not 'believe" in it as it isn't well documented with Western Medicine, but there is enough anecdotal evidence to suggest there is definitely a link. So it isn't far fetched to think that MPB could be correlated to a reaction with certain foods.. maybe not a direct link but some relationship.
  11. The price has changed since I got my HT back in August 2015. The FUE price I paid in CDN was more than the price listed on their website now, so I am assuming that their prices are all in USD now, as when I do the conversion the price is about the same as I paid. Either that or they legitimately lowered their prices for FUE since I had my HT. As far as I know HW has delayed the availability of their new topical FIN formula. I am on the list to be contacted when they have it available.... this was back in September. I have contacted them a couple times since and they said it is still delayed and hopefully available in the Spring. Hopefully their new formula is cheaper than their first batch.
  12. Maybe.. I was on MIN, biotin, and MSM a week after my HT and still didn't get that immediate growth. Anyways, I am not the one to questions as it is your head, not mine... Just didn't want you to get your hopes too high, just like how you thought you were one of those lucky people who don't shed.
  13. I'm gonna assume these stubbles aren't your transplanted hair that had shed. Hair just doesn't grow that fast after a shed. Even if it was they would be so fine you wouldn't even notice it once transplanted hair starts to grow. It is probably hair that was buzzed down.
  14. I would def hold out the HT. Your hair looks good man, trust me. Even with your new haircut, you still have a good hairline that frames your face.
  15. before and after pictures are usually taken anywhere from 6-18 months apart... I know for a fact they have two different blue walls. They never use flash in their pictures, which creates the illusion of thicker hair.
  16. I can't comment on the comparison as I never had FUT. For my experience with FUE, the only pain I felt was a slight headache post op that lasted about a day or two. There were tender spots that were about an inch in size in about one or two areas in the donor area, but that didn't last very long either... Nothing that was very noticeable. All in all, I never really thought of the donor area after about a week except for the itch!! (that lasted about 2-3 months).
  17. from your profile link.. it seems you never really had a post op shed eh? lucky
  18. why not just stay on the safe side and wear a ball cap... such a big investment to risk, whether or not the clinic says it is okay or not.. just my 2 cents.
  19. You're lucky if the redness does go away within a month. I'm one of the unlucky ones that lingered on a while. Six months in and I still have some redness after a hot shower and applying minox, but the good thing is my hairs have grown out well and you can't see it. Give it at least a month before concluding none of your hairs will shed. 11 days is still too soon. Looking good though.
  20. If you are using rogaine you might as well not bother starting with nioxin, especially the scalp treatment.. just use the shampoo and conditioner (even though both are more or less for the cosmetic appearance ) rather than treating the dht issue
  21. congrats!! the scar looks very very clean... Good call on not flying asap.. If you have time to stick around until your grafts are locked in, and the scabs are more or less gone, the better. Just makes travelling less stressful.. Enjoy the Vancouver rain . Let me know if you want to grab a beer .
  22. The 6 month milestone. I am pretty happy with the progress so far. There are some weak spots that I hope will thicken up in the next couple of months. The new hair is still a bit wirey/crinkly compared to the rest of the hair. The length of the new hairs are also shorter than the rest of my hair. You can still see some fine hairs that can only be seen if you zoom in on the picture so hopefully those thicken up and increase the overall density. The pictures are with the hair under fluorescent lighting, no flash, no hair product.
  23. yea everything seems fine at this point. you can see my progress on the link in my sig.
