  1. Thanks! For anyone wanting a quick summary of my start to finish from 1st transplant see this thread for comparison photos... http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/187511-nw6-final-result-after-2-hair-transplants-7267-grafts-drs-ball-karadeniz.html
  2. To be honest I've had a good result from both. Both do FUT and FUE. Both are nice caring honest doctors. Dr K runs from a small clinic and has a few staff. Dr Ball was at Ziering when I had my procedure but now is at his own clinic as you are aware. So I can't comment on his current clinic but I'm sure it's top notch and he has a well respected team with David and Janna. If money was not a consideration I'd probably go with Mr Ball again, but Dr K did a good transplant for me so I would go back to either.
  3. For the UK I would also consider Mr Ball at his Maitland clinic. Those 3 are the best in the UK. But do not just limit yourself to the UK, Belgium has excellent clinics for FUE and is very close to travel
  4. Feriduni is based in Belgium. For prices your should consult with the clinics, this varies on the clinic, type of procedure and number of grafts. I have had no side effects from Rogaine or Finasteride, they are not very common. You should start Finasteride asap.
  5. For the first I only wanted to stay in the UK as I was unfamiliar with transplants and clinics. I had a positive experience, see my thread. (but do not go to the ziering clinic but to Mr Ball who is now at Maitland). For the second I didn't want to spend so much money so choose Dr Karadeniz. That was the main reason for not staying with Mr Ball, the expense. Consult with different clinics, also Bisanga in Belgium who does excellent work.
  6. I started both Finasteride and Rogaine around 4 months before my first HT and have continued both since.
  7. My advice would be to wait a few more years to see how much hair hot continue to lose. You're still going and will most certainly lose more hair in the coming years. At 27 I had a full head of hair, in the next 3-4 years I lost quite a bit. You don't want to have a transplant now, them keep losing more hair behind it. You just definitely consider starting Finasteride now to stabilise ongoing loss. Then start researching good docs, FUE Vs FUT and consider a transplant in a few years. Your donor probably looks thinner as you've cut it short. When you do send clinics your photos you should grow your hair longer first. FUT would probably be the better option to maximise they number of grafts available. In the UK have a look at Mr Ball at Maitland and Farjo. Mr Bisanga is very good in Belgium as is Feriduni. Hassan and Wong in Canada. There are many others. All of these at least offer both FUT and FUE so can give you advice on what they think is best.
  8. Thanks for the comments guys. I have to thank this community in particular for the advice and invaluable information on this site.
  9. Thanks Chris. Yes like you say it is difficult to know how much the Fin helped and sometimes I do wander if I should have waited 1yr on Fin before having my first HT to know how much difference it made. It certainly has helped as my donor looks better and there was hair growth in areas where I did not have any grafts transplanted from the first HT.
  10. I thought I would post final photos after my 2 HT's with comparison photos, to make it easier for people to see the change starting from NW6. Hopefully this will help some people who are NW6 about what can be done, although I'm not sure if my result is average for a NW6 with 7267 grafts or if people would expect a better result. First HT: Mr Ball: 3394 grafts, 6360 hairs, FUT Second HT: Dr Karadeniz: 3873 grafts, 8803 hairs, combined FUT (3150 grafts) and FUE (723 grafts) I have around 2-3k grafts available from my donor hair that I may use in the coming years. I started Finasteride 1mg daily and Minoxidil foam once daily around 3 months before my first HT. I have recently stopped the Minoxidil. The Y1 photos are 1 year after my first HT and the Y2 photos are 1 year after my last HT. I have to say the Y1 photos probably look thinner due to the gel I was using at the time and also the way I combed my hair.
