  1. kinda contradicts this.. https://hassonandwong.com/fue-follicular-unit-extractions-at-hasson-wong/
  2. U have used biotin and MSM in the past but at different times.. I did notice fast hair growth with Biotin, but cannot remember if MSM did anything except faster nail growth lol... I started using both post op, but I have stopped MSM, as it may have caused some esophageal irritation due to the large pills..... I am taking a break from it for now to see if my irritation gets better in the next couple of weeks.... hopefully it does, because for those who have experienced any kind of esophageal ulcer due to pills, it is quite annoying.
  3. I think he meant that you should have had 4 times more grafts... so about 4000... That said, he made that comment not understanding what your plan of attack, if any, or your goals were.
  4. Same. I didn't take any of try pain meds post op. Slept fine the first night and only experienced a slight headache. The odd pimple/blood blister in the donor area is annoying though. Ill accidentally scratch and it'll bleed. I'm 5 weeks in now.
  5. OP, is sparse look due to lower than expected yield, or the fact that not enough grafts were used? It's a bit hard to tell, but it looks to me that the number of grafts in the post op seem ideal as they do look densely packed, and the sparseness may be due to lower than expected yield.. That's just what I get from the pics.
  6. Poole With all due respect , I am not going to ask Dr Hasson all those questions and request a video, because they are your questions, not mine. For those concerned and have questions, you guys should be emailing him, or his reps. I am here to document my experience and on going results. I understand how some of you may be skeptical with HW and FUE, if that's the case, there are many other Drs to choose from for FUE. I may be one of HW first documented cases, but it doesn't mean I am one of their first FUE cases.
  7. I am four weeks out and there is still pinkness. Fluorescent lighting seems to be the worst normal indoor lighting it isn't noticeable.
  8. Ok so you thought 3 months was too long to wait for results.. but not starting on the MIN would have caused your hair to slowly get worse anyways... I don't see your logic of quitting MIN. If you are destined to get balder, the worst that MIN would do is cause an initial shed which is temporary.
  9. At one month, the redness won't be too bad... you can attribute it to a sun burn while you were on vacation, or just straight up tell them you had work done. TBH, I don't think people will really care after the initial conversation.. But that is probably something most of us aren't willing to do. I am sure there are a lot of people who are using some light makeup to hide the redness without having issues with their growth. Of course there are ones who do, but the evidence is anectodal and there could be other factors that attribute to the poor growth yield. If you are a NW2, why not get the Doc to leave the top of your hair longer so you can have it combed forward? That is what was done with me, but I just found it easier to buzz it all off.
  10. hmmm... I have been using the wife's powder on the recipient areas when I go to work.. Not using actual liquid concealers or putting it on very heavy, but still using it to offset some of the residual pinkness since the three weeks post op.... I hope it doesn't affect my results.
  11. I experienced ball ache the first few weeks of using SP... also after about a year of consistent use, I started to develop the anxiety that has been known to be a SE of FIN. Once I stopped the SP, the anxiety immediately ceased. I never had and sexual side effects though.
  12. At 9 days, you should not have much crusts/scabbing.. If you do, you should start getting rid of them in the shower.. Follow your Drs recommendation on how to remove the crusts. At 9 days, your grafts are secured.
  13. he is also a troll who has never had a HT, and makes uninformed statements about different companies.
  14. get over it. I don't understand why you are so concerned about certain Drs offering FUE. You haven't even had a HT yourself, and you are making accusations and uninformed opinions about different companies. It's not your money or your head. What decisions other people make is up to them.
  15. I was using aloe gel religiously for the first three weeks post op but didn't make a huge difference. It helped immediately but after an hour or so it would get itchy again.
  16. Here I am one month post op. Pretty much all transplanted hairs have shed. The recipient area remains slightly pink, but is slowly fading. The numbness in the recipient area is also lessening. The donor area has been quite itchy since week 2. I have also been getting the odd pimple in the recipient area which resided in a couple of days. I have had approximately 5-6 pimples in the donor area which were pretty big, but I drained them without any issues. From the pictures, it seems that there may have been some shock loss in the donor area, but nothing really that noticeable. At this point, it is the "ugly duckling" phase. I have been using Minoxidil foam 5% since the 2 week mark including my recipient areas. You can see there are the odd hairs in the recipient area, whether they are native hairs or new hairs, I have no clue. The waiting game is on.
  17. The FUE was done by his technician. I believe he was one or two that is specialized in the extraction. Dr HASSON made all the recipient slits. What stairstre says doesn't bother me at all. I did my research and I knew what I was getting myself into. All grafts were inspected, and they would not implant a graft that was transected or partially transected. There is no point to that as it is almost guaranteed those grafts won't grow. It seems like he is more worried than I am about the results. To be honest, I am not worried at all. I am not even anxious. The only part of the procedure that annoys me is the lingering pinkness in the recipient area. One month pics to come later today.
  18. I am one month in as well and my donor area has been itching like mad!
  19. Oh and another thing. The majority of their clients are still going for fut. And they are booked solid. Every time I went in for post op stuff, there were people in the wait room and operating chairs. Fut, imo, is the best choice for nw levels four or higher. If I were to get a ht and was a higher Nw, I would go fut for sure.
  20. Stairstre I will try my best to answer your questions. I went to hw because I did not want to travel to get a ht. Secondly, fut was not an option due to my low nw. I have faith that hw would not offer a procedure where they would not be able to backup. They have been known to resolve issues regarding sub par results in the past, and I believe if that was the case with me, they would do their best to work something out with me. That said, I am not going to ask for a discount nor do I expect one. Why would I go to a place where they would offer a discount because they already know the results will fail. What does that say about the confidence of the company? As for the donor area, imo, I do not think it is too high. Unless I end up with an extreme Nw in the future which could happen, but I doubt as it is not in my family history and my current hair loss is fairly stable and slow. Even then I am confident they have not extracted too high. My hair is very coarse. The density may or may not come out how I expect , only time will tell, but if it does end up anywhere like my one week post op pic, I would be very happy with the density. The pics for the two week post op is where at least 50% of the hairs have shed. I do not plan on getting a other surgery after this. Whether the outcome is a disaster or spectacular, this is it. The reason I did it was to live the next 5-10 years with a solid hairline. After that, I don't expect to look like I did in my 20s. Heck if the recipient hairs start to thin when I'm in my forties, I wouldn't mind, as it would look more natural if the rest of my native hair thins. I don't know what your history is with hw and ht, but the tone you give off is that you have some resentment. I don't agree with you that I am providing hw with free advertising. I am posting here to share my experience so others can be educated. I had a great experience so far and wanted to share it. If my results tank, I am sure it would be very bad business for hw, but again only time will tell, and they seem to be as confident as I am that things will turn out great.
  21. How do you not have pre op pictures? Have you never taken pictures of yourself besides the photos you attached?
  22. either he is on meds now, or is using concealers... there is no way his crown got that dense from the pre op pics, as he did not have any hairs placed on there.
  23. Imo, I think the only "cure" would be producing follicles via stem cells which would be transplanted the same way they are now, so HT Drs won't be "out of business" so to speak. Petri dish follicles.
