  1. Those laser helmets are a helluva lot of money to spend on something that only may help with healing and despite the published data, anecdotal reports have been overwhelmingly negative over the years to the point where laser combs and the like are rarely spoken about in hair loss communities as a treatment option. The biggest drawback for me also, besides the cost, is feeling like a complete dick wearing one of these things.
  2. Front looks fantastic, but I'm worried about his midscalp especially @ age 26. I also question whether doctors should be transplanting 4000+ grafts on such a young patient.
  3. Seems about a 1000 grafts too many....regardless patient is going to have an amazing head of hair @ 40.
  4. Best Rahal FUE results I have seen on this site. You are going to have killer hair in another 3 to 6 months.
  5. I wouldn't put Erdogan in the super expensive category. I think his prices are fairly reasonable relative to his reputation and results.
  6. That would be some dense packing with 3800 grafts! Are you looking to lower your hair line ?
  7. GL I got the impression you were quite unwhelmed with the temp SMP...
  8. From what i have read, addressing the crown before the age of 30 (some even say 40) may not be a good idea, I'm sure others will chime in with the reasons why....
  9. Hey Garageland, do you have any updates on this patient? Thanks
  10. A lot of people, including surgeons (H&W), believe branded works better than generic, so something to think about, also cheaper to buy 5mg proscar or equivalent and cut into fifths.
  11. KO, are u booking a procedure this year, or will it be next yr?
  12. Hey, I personally never experienced any shed (or regrowth) from minox. Once you start it though there is no coming off it, unless you want the mother of all sheds, so better make sure you want to make a potentially lifetime commitment to a drug which for a lot of people has negligible effect.
  13. Thanks GL, guys I will post pics at four month mark once hair has grown. At the moment I just look bald.
  14. Yeah no obvious evidence of scarring at the back, only a keen eye from someone educated in HT's would prob notice. 99.9% of others wouldn't.
  15. Hey guys, im three months post op (FUE with Dr Feriduni 3500 grafts). I was at a BBQ last night, people got a bit drunk and started shaving their hair, I should have said no, but I was stupid and went ahead and this drunk idiot shaved it very roughly (not at all gentle) with a one guard. Fast forward 12 hours and my recipient area is a bit blotchy and sensitive to the touch. Is there any chance at all that the grafts could be damaged or pulled three months post op from an aggressive use of the clippers?
  16. Tough to call. It's certainly an improvement but perhaps not 3000 grafts worth of improvement. Having said that patient still has several months of thickening to go and his donor hair looked pretty thin so the redistribution of grafts was never going to turn him into Elvis. Overall, I would call this good work in progress so far. Dr is the patient on meds at all?
  17. Just be careful not to scratch the recipient area where they are biting you.
  18. I know a few docs (Feriduni, Bisanga) still perform FUT but it appears from their published results that they now mostly perform FUE, which is something Dr Feriduni has confirmed to me in person. Meanwhile, there are a significant portion of top Euro docs who only perform FUE (Lorenzo, Maras, Erdogan, Reddy etc) and very few, if any, Euro docs recommended by HRN specialize in FUT along the lines of H&W...which to me begs the question, is strip becoming obsolete in Europe, and if so, why?
  19. She is the king of crowns, so I'm positive you will get a great result. Jimbo can you clarify his pricing structure for second procedures, I understand after 3k grafts all subsequent procedures will be at a reduced rate, is that correct?
  20. More to come and then nothing. Kind of expected that. One way or another Rahal's clinic has come across in a pretty negative light in this thread....
