  1. I disagree that there is not a place for FUE with high norwoods, it just takes a good European doctor http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174548-13-371-fue-injertocapilar-com-farjo-dr-lorenzo.html
  2. As everyone who has had a transplant knows you need to avoid sun exposure after a HT. To what extent does this apply to winter sun? I went for a walk 7 days post op with family on Christmas day (in the UK) and stupidly did not put my bandanna on and would say my scalp was exposed to an hour's worth of sun, but obviously there was no sun burn. Should I be concerned?
  3. Dr Bisanga is one that springs to mind.
  4. The third doctor in your list is banned from this site, so you will not be getting anyone here recommending him!
  5. My recommendation would be to contact some good FUE docs by way of online consultation, such as Drs Biganga, Lorenzo, Feriduni, Reddy, Erdogan and Maras. You will fill out an online questionnaire about your hair loss, medications, and what you wish to achieve and will be asked to provide some photos of your hair from different angles. Online consultations are free and the docs will give you an idea from your photos and the information you have provided them of what you can expect to achieve.
  6. Thanks doc, from a layman's point of view, the third point you made that I have highlighted above is the reason I had in mind why a lot of surgeons would not want to, or may not accurately represent, the transection rate, assuming this data was available.
  7. As per the title, in general will doctors maintain a record of the number of grafts transected during extraction and disclose this to the patient if asked?
  8. Go with a doc who you will feel more confident in, the fact you are having doubts now about the doc indicates you are not ready to have an HT yet and need to do some more research. Don't rush.
  9. It shows how exceptional Lorenzo's work is, compare it to the guy below who had a similar degree of hair loss but received more than twice the grafts by FUT from one of the best strip surgeons in the world, and in my view Lorenzo achieved an illusion of greater density with half the number of grafts, no? http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/165572-dr-hasson-9168-grafts-one-session-one-day-post-op-5.html
  10. It applies to all subsequent procedures, so a 2k procedure further down the road after your first procedure will only set you back 5k euros with the best FUE surgeon on the planet.
  11. Me too, I am post-op day 7 and the pain/itching is really bad, started from around day 4/5 and gets quite acute in the evening. Using aloe and ibuprofen but does not make a lot of difference for me. Like London81 I too had FUE with Dr Feriduni. I've pretty much had it all so far, bad swelling, this, and I have managed to knock my head near the grafts quite a few times. Living the dream.
  12. So it sounds like you don't think the doctor will have the patient's best interests at heart by doing it in one day, even if they insist they do.
  13. What about if you go to a reputable surgeon (say one of the top two in Belgium), you are the only person they are operating on that day, and you are told they can do it (3k) in one day?
  14. Hi Sean, this is the problem. What if you are booked in for two days and part way through the extraction the doctor changes the goal posts and advises/insists that it can be done in one day. It is a difficult situation for the patient who is under anaesthetic to argue otherwise, especially as we put our faith in doctors' advice. Out of interest, to what extent do you think doing it in one day damaged your yield?
  15. With FUE Megasessions of up to 3.5k grafts is there any advantage to the patient in having this done in one day as opposed to two, if this option is presented to the patient?
  16. If you have any doubts, don't go ahead. I am of the view that the results of Dr Erdogan are considerably better than Dr Doganay and the patient experiences with Dr Erdogan seem to be a lot more positive than with Dr Doganay.
  17. Hair Transplant Procedure Prices | How much do Hair Transplants Cost So at 2.50GBP per hair, if the OP had an average of 2 hairs per graft @ 2500 grafts, total cost would amount to approx 12,500GBP.
  18. Bumpety bump, expecting an amazing result with this one, Dr Reddy is fast establishing himself as one of the best FUE surgeons in Europe...
  19. Feriduni in Hasselt Belgium showed me some of his repair cases and the results all seemed great, you can't go wrong with him or Bisanga I would imagine.
  20. Thanks guys, beginning to subside now and I can now see out of both eyes, it's quite scary having your eye swollen shut for 48 hrs so a relief I can see again.
  21. That's some bonkers growth for six months!
