  1. Is it just me, or do pro sportsmen who do a lot of cardio, such as football (soccer) players, rugby players, tennis players, F1 drivers etc have a much lower ratio of balding guys than guys of the same range (20's and 30's) from the general public?
  2. Hey mate, if you have not had ideal results so far is it worth going back to the same surgeon a third time? Have you considered one of the docs in Belgium who specialise in manual FUE?
  3. That's very generous of Dr Doganay to offer 2000 grafts for free.
  4. Hey Blake, on that note, when you say grafts are permanent once they anchor, do you mean they are as permanent as non transplanted (established) hairs?
  5. Thanks for that dude, but I did ask for opinions on two different things, one related to growth and one to thickness, which while similar, are not necessarily the same.
  6. Are we talking 50, 60, 70% density....any ideas approximately?
  7. Yeah his results are awesome tho, probably the best hairline doc in the world.
  8. Feriduni's wait list is probably the longest of all the coalition docs, but people do cancel more than you think, so I would ask to go on their cancellation list, I'd be surprised if there are not still a few openings this year.
  9. Unfortunately for me I couldn't wear a bandana cause I had my temple points done too, so I had to walk around with a purple head (from the dye Dr F uses) and I'm not going to lie, it was embarrassing. I stayed in the hotel two days post op and did get a bit bored as I stayed in my room a lot of the time because of how self conscious I was. I got some pretty bad swelling from three days post op so something to think about when planning the return trip.
  10. Yeah last December, I stayed at the Hassotel too, great little hotel (with a gold fish in your room, strangely) and they're used to see ht patients there. Make sure you have some breakfast from the buffet on the morning of the op, which I omitted to do, not good having surgery on an empty stomach !
  11. Looks fine to me, enjoy Hasselt. Which hotel you staying at?
  12. Hmmm thanks London....I will contact the doc and see what he thinks
  13. Hey guys, do temple points take a bit longer than the hairline to fill in after a HT? I am five months post op and while the hairline is progressing well, the TP's are barely visible at this point (prob had about 250 grafts in each one)
  14. 10 years ago I would have said FUT. 5 years ago I may have still said FUT. Now I definitely say FUE as the best docs in the world produce results on a par with FUT but with reduced risk of noticeable scarring at the back. For many of us, the smiley linear scar at the back is a bit of a deal breaker, and I love the fact I can buzz my hair to a #1 and the work is so clean 99.9% of people would never realize I had 3600 grafts removed from the back of my head. In the right hands, FUE gives you more options for later on in life than FUT in terms of how short you have your hair, and the post op recovery is better and less restrictive too.
  15. I have seen some good results from him on that other hair site you are referring to...he may not be recommended here because the clinic he works for don't wish to pay the membership fee....who knows? Being recommended here is not a prerequisite to being a good surgeon, the best FUE doc on the planet (Lorenzo) being an example of this as he is not recommended here.
  16. I agree Erdogan is prob best bang for buck, perhaps followed by Lorenzo because once u have more than 3k with him (Lorenzo), additional grafts and subsequent procedures are very reasonable as you will always then pay his lower rate.
  17. Yeah, I asked Blake what the medical basis could be for waiting that long to buzz your hair, but he couldn't think of one. Would be interesting to find out from the docs concerned the reason for giving patients that instruction which appears to contradict medical opinion (from Dr Bernstein's study) on when grafts are securely "anchored".
  18. There's no trick. He's just an exceptionally good proponent of FUE who produces results on a par with the best FUT docs. The Turkish docs are good but not on the same level as him IMO.
  19. Plus an amazing result without meds Plus a great hairline from Dr Lorenzo, heaven forbid!
