Hello All, Hope everyone is keeping healthy! I am a 24 year old male who has gotten 2 FUT procedures (one in 2017 and another in 2018) along with SMP treatment a few months ago and am looking for suggestions in regards to potential next steps as I hope to continue my hair growth procedure. As you can see in the attached photos, this is what my head looks like around 2 weeks prior to shaving my head- which I usually do now following the SMP procedure. There has been solid growth considering what my hair looked like before my first FUT procedure, but still not enough to feel "comfortable" i

I have been viewing these forums for some time now probably since I was in high school. I always knew I was going to bald as it runs in both sides of my family however I expected it to begin much later in life. I’m in my late 20s now starting thinning/ receding since 19 years old. Once I noticed I wanted to get on the phone and start booking consultations but knew that my balding was going to progress more. As you’ll see in the photos – in a NW4 (correct me if I’m wrong). And I’m finally ready to move forward on my 1st procedure. I Have been doing more research as of late and have found

FUT or FUE - that is the question!
ralphnyc posted a topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hello everyone! So I have decided to undergo surgery with Dr. Robert Dorin in NY given the excellent results I saw on his website and the encouraging reviews about him and his fellow associate Dr. True on this forum. Given my case, I was offered the two traditional routes but for different grafts: 1. The FUT route for 2,200 to 2,500 grafts 2. The FUE for 1,700 I know both will produce different results and they both have different fees so I really do not know what to choose. I have a budget and want to make the most out of it. Another confusing point is that this guy http://w -
This is probably my first post on any forum of any kind, as I have been moved to do so by my amazing experience with Dr. Carlos Wesley. I first went to Dr. Wesley about four years ago, at the end of a year’s worth of research and the last of many consults. I actually had two more scheduled that day but cancelled them after leaving his office as I knew I wanted him to do my work. I started losing my hair around age 17 but by 21 it was very noticeable and I knew it was time. From the moment I sat down with Dr. Wesley it was as if this nightmare was going to be alright after all. A

I understand this might not be the most tactful question (or first post) but as I'm deliberating and seriously considering both doctors Feller & Wesley in/near NYC I have to ask some forum users if they could shed light on the following. Feller is highly recommended and I might very well go with him after a consultation, but I may be able to get in earlier (and I've got some other life events to plan around) with Wesley (who also seems to do amazing work). My problem with Wesley is the potential cost. I love that Dr. Feller publishes his cost guidelines, I haven't managed to find a

Hi guys I posted this before/after in another popular forum, but wanted to share some results of a client of mine who wanted to cover his transplant scars, but also leave his hair a bit longer. Most clients are recommended to cut the hair shorter for ideal camouflage...but it is certainly possible to get a good concealment even at a longer hair length...check attached:

This 40-year-old man really wanted to reverse his "hair fortune" and add density atop his head. His concern was a natural appearance - even if it meant going "zero to sixty" (as a patient coined when very little recipient hair initially exists). A 2605-graft session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley in NYC helped frame his face with a natural-appearing hairline as seen before and 17 months after his procedure.

A common observation amongst patients during the early phase of hair growth following surgical hair restoration (either FUT or FUE) is ingrown hair follicles. The "pimples" that some (but not all) patients experience generally represent focal inflammation (folliculitis) where a newly-ingrowing hairs are beginning to surface. Patients can often feel reassured knowing that these generally precede more apparent hair growth over the following weeks and months. They can be seen in both the recipient area (where transplanted hairs are coming in) or donor region (especially in FUE where any res

Hi Guys, After interviewing all of NYC's recommended doctors (Bernstein, T/D, Feller) I've decided on going ahead with the procedure with Dr. Wesley. I felt most comfortable with him. He said that his technique is so precise that I shouldn't expect any shock loss. T/D said I would expect considerable shock loss. Wesley also spent the most time with me and showed me multiple before and after pictures of patients with similar cases to me. He thinks I will have between 23-2500. Here's what it will look like:

Hi, I'm Derek and am new here. I'm 31 years old and have been losing my hair slowly since I was 19. I have been on Propecia and have been on Avodart for the past few years. For the most part it has worked. I am not balding on my crown that bad, but my hairline keeps on receding ever so slowly and it's gotten to the point where I need to do something about it. Luckily I have pretty long hair so I am able to somewhat hide the fact that it is receding. Who is the absolute best person to go to for transplant work in New York? I have been told I have terrific donor areas and would only nee

This 22-year-old male was bothered by the progressive thinning of his hairline and the frontal portion of his scalp. His surgical hair restoration session with Dr. Wesley included included 2507 grafts incubated in platelet-rich plasma (PRP). In addition to his surgical session, the portion of his mid scalp that did not receive grafts was treated with PRP injection and stimulation with a 0.5mm micro roller. The patient returned to Dr. Wesley's office at 10 months. Early growth from his transplant can be seen and this patient's response to subcutaneous PRP injection is incl

Hello Friends, I am a new member and posting this on my 35th birthday. After suffering hair-loss for 20 years, I feel like I cannot wait any longer. I am considering HT and have done countless hours of research on forums like these. I'm a NW 3/3V. I live and work in NYC but am willing to travel anywhere for the best results. But I still don't know who to go to. I have checked out a lot of ISHRS doctors, Golden/Platinum follicle award winners. I am still at a loss since that narrows the pool to a few hundred doctors. A few doctors I have shortlisted are Feriduni, Hassan/Wong, Feller, Wes
