  1. I love seeing transformations in older patients, they really seem to love the change and wish they did it when they were younger. I am not so many years off from 50 and consider myself still young and can say don't let being 50 put you off as it can really role back the years even being conservative in the approach.
  2. Still early and looking good so far and will certainly thicken in coming months so keep the gel ready.
  3. Congratulations to you Blake and am sure you will do very well in this role and really understand the patient also from your years on here.
  4. Glad you got a reply from us, your rep will give you the initial assessment from Dr.B and go from there and usually would progress to a consultation in person in order to measure density, hair to graft groups, miniaturisation etc.
  5. Very good words given and in total agreement. For a NW6 restoration then a good donor is needed for the sheer amount of grafts that would need to be harvested and especially so if going FUE only route. If you are interested in DR.B then you can email the clinic medical@bhrclinic.com and a rep will get back to you for photos but essentially Dr.B would need to see you in person to assess the donor also. Wherever you go make sure to see patients in person who have had extensive FUE also so you can see live results if possible and all the best in your research.
  6. Buzzing is okay at 14 days and have done so myself numerous times. The skin can still be healing so caution is good but the grafts are fine.

  8. Hi UK86, if you contact your advisor at BHR she will be able to give you contacts of previous patients who can share with you and possibly meet you also.
  9. Thanks for posting Stinger, looks fine for 3 months and best for the coming months as things develop.
  10. Looking good for 3 months as is still very early so anything is a bonus at this stage and totally correct about lighting and thanks for taking the time to show the differences. Exciting stages to come and wish you well in the next months.
  11. Some patients will invariably scratch grafts out in the night and a small percentage do. Wearing marigold type gloves can help avoid this and soften any scalp touching as a barrier between fingernails and the scalp but not fool proof. Others will button their arms inside a shirt but the concern with this is if you fall out of bed you could do some damage if your arms are not free to break the fall. I always used a travel pillow and as such never had problems scratching my scalp and most don't.
  12. Thank you all for the comments. Just to clarity the patient was 34 not 30 at time of surgery. The patient's surgery was 2012 and not reported any problems since and circa 37 years old now and was as said 34 at time of undertaking the procedure. Like any patient future loss is always something to consider as well as age and medication. Patient was a good age in mid 30s then and had "very good laxity" according to his consultation notes so indeed can have a further Strip/FUE should the need arise, slightly higher than average donor and very good make up of follicular units also that helped in this result and also for further if needed and has several options open to him and is now into the latter 30s. Strip certainly an option due to good laxity and FUE also, so, not taped out by any means but has held on well since surgery.
  13. Age: 34 Medication: Minoxidil Graft break down:- 1s 748 2s 1419 3s 1112 4s 734 Total 4013 Density 70/80/80 in donor and good laxity. Patient had diffused thinning in the frontal third and goal was to give a strong hair line while blending back and the patient wanted to go as least conservative as possible in design and we achieved that here. Patient had good density and also good follicular unit make up of 3s and 4s was evident and helped to achieve the fullness. Patient was very happy to share his case and full face also and his comments to me were he was "proud of his result" and a big thank you to him for sharing the photos he did. I would say that he is really enjoying his hair from looking at them and from speaking to him. All post op photos are as said supplied by the patient and not taken in the clinic due to patient residing in a different country so are what he was able to send, so apologies if some not the highest quality but have been taken from phones while he was on the go. If he returns to the clinic then we would be happy to get fresh ones. Pre-op design Placement Closure Lunch break photo 4 Months 6 Months 12 Months and beyond
  14. Hi ready4hair As anecdotal, I used LLLT after my last surgery, 7th one in total, and I noticed it sped up post op healing and I did so after reading a lot on it and post surgery benefits and trials etc. You do need to ask your doctor/clinic as they may have caveats post surgery for using LLLT but I tried as I was asked a lot about it and can say my healing was very fast.
  15. Hi Yaz89 I had the same problems till today and I believe it is the security update cloud used. I got on my phone okay and when tethering wifi from there but my home wifi would not allow access to the forum. I had to change my wifi security settings to get in, long story short. I had the problems for 2 days and resolved it when trying today and now all ok. So, login to your Internet service provider account and you should be able to change the default security they have put on that will conflict with the firewall used here now.
  16. Hi Delancey We currently do 70/80 percent FUE and 20/30 percent Strip in any given month and therefore NW5/6 are in the lower percentage of patients who come to us taking into account the range of patients we work on, or they may not be looking also for "full coverage", depending on goals and donor limitations. For some with that loss it will be addressed with both Strip and FUE together, possibly body hair also and usually not one stop shopping, so to get full coverage will be over multiple surgeries if indeed is the patients' goals and donor capability to achieve. I do have some higher norwood cases to post and here are a couple that come to mind on this forum and both very different cases and were not one sittings as such to get to where they are now, so the patient is often aware due to the graft amounts needed then a multifaceted approach can be taken and time is needed also to get to where they want to go as indeed multiple surgery can be needed to achieve the coverage over fairly large areas. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169459-dr-bisanga-bhr-clinic-4-297-fut-2270-hybrid-strip-fue.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169814-body-hair-fue-nw6-patient-after-chemo-therapy-bhr-clinic-dr-bisanga.html As said, will post some more higher loss cases soon.
  17. Happy for patient, nice outcome and good age also and has rolled back some years for sure.
  18. The objective was to improve the density within the central area of the frontal third, and reduce the angles of the temples without closing, as the patient wanted to keep a higher angle but one that framed his face better. PRE-OP & HAIR LINE DESIGN PRE-OP PLACEMENT 12 MONTHS POST OP
  19. Came in very well, good skin to hair contrast and scar also not an issue for him which after 2 ops is good. Nice result for him there garageland.
  20. * Patient Age: 31 years * Medications: Propecia in the past. Not currently. * Donor area density: 70 UFs/cm2 * Type of hair: Medium thickness * Technique: FUE * FUs: 1,397 * Previous operations: Yes, at prior clinic by way of "strip" of approx 1500 FUs in the hair line. * Number of hairs per graft: - 1 hairs: 309 - 2 hairs: 614 - 3 hairs: 410 - 4 hairs: 64 The patient had a previous operation a few years ago at a prior clinic to rebuild the hair line, but the result was not as hoped. Patient therefore opted for a FUE Procedure with BHR to repair the hair line and add density. Grafts were also placed into the linear scar as the patient wanted to wear his hair short. Results show 0 - 8 Months progression Pre-Surgery Post-Operation Donor Site & Linear Scar Repair Photos below provided by patient at the early stages of 8 months post-op and shaved, with more thickening of the hair to come. 21. Hi Alex Just to say at present we are booking for April 20th onwards for consultations. We have about 6 days in March free that we can offer and none in February when I check. They are free of charge and also we have brought the waiting down time down by hosting international consultations aside from the clinic ones and for example will be seeing over 25 people this coming weekend in London and I've never had to advertise UK visits as such due to the demand and we offer on also Spain and other countries where Dr.Bisanga has representatives working. So all in all this has helped to keep us at approx 3 months waiting with the odd days here and there that may be left in some months. Hope helps.
  22. Thanks for posting buzzcut and the detailed write up also. I will get you the photos pre and post surgery from the clinic asap for you to have and all the best for continued healing.
