  1. Thanks for updating grigriman and as said a nice change here for you. Look forward to seeing you soon for check up with the doctor.
  2. Coming on well for 4 months as is still very early and signs of life coming in all over the presumed treated area so very promising at this stage. Be good to see placement and graft numbers if possible. Are you on any medication also as there are signs of thinning elsewhere also further back. All the best for continued growth and should see some nice improvements in the coming months.
  3. Thanks for updating stinger and glad back to work has gone fairly smoothly, it is usually a nervous time to see how people react but gets easier and easier and I know this from experience. Well done and heal well and then into the growth phase to come.
  4. Patient had previous surgery at another clinic, yet had poor growth and resulting in an unnatural appearance. Dr Bisanga opted for a FUT/STRIP procedure harvesting 3,709 grafts, of which 3,000 were placed in the front area and 709 grafts into the crown. Pre-Op Post-Op placement 2 years result Scar Comparatives
  5. Always good to see female cases and a nice outcome also. Happy for her as her goals have been reached,.
  6. Hi Meshak The clinic usually would supply a post op document that details this and often a breakdown of hairs per follicular unit i.e. 1s,2s,3s,4s etc placed and then the total number of grafts. Not all clinics will but you should have a good idea from the clinic as to what was placed and also any post operative photos will show the approximate amount when you look at density and area covered and of course prior to surgery a number is usually quoted as the approximate number needed or to be transplanted.
  7. 10 months photos provided by this patient with wet and dry hair and some comparatives. --
  8. Good and honest call from the clinic here and outcome also. Thanks for the fun and have a great Christmas Mick to you all there. SL
  9. Thanks ej for updating and showing the donor area. Father Christmas could use his beard also as a donor source if he needs to this Christmas! But seriously, very happy that we could help you to get to where you are now and that you had a great beard to enable it also.
  10. As I said elsewhere, my conviction once looking and zooming in was 0 grafts but use of meds.
  11. Looking nice and healing well. All the best for the continued healing and then the growth to come. I liked the design I have to say and very sensible approach.
  12. Thanks for posting. The donor will itch as it heals and sheds skin and washing and massaging well will help this and as you are applying aloe vera also and same for numb tight feeling will dissipate. Keep washing and massaging well!
  13. Thanks for the write up stinger and glad you had a good experience. Now hope you can rest before going home and enjoy some of Brussels a little. Thanks for coming all the way you did and we were very happy to have you from doctor through to all the team there that played a part in your experience and you can be checked up in the days you remain. Anything needed, just let us know.
  14. * BHR Clinic * Dr. Christian BISANGA * Age: 32 * Medication: Minoxidil, Finasteride * Technique: FUE * Donor density: 70 FUs/cm2 * Medium-Fine Hair * FUs: 2686 * Previous surgeries: No * Breakdown: - 1 hair - 654 - 2 hairs - 1473 - 3 hairs - 547 - 4 hairs - 12 That is 2686 FU = 5289 Hairs -> 1.97 Hairs/FU, Being a lower than average count. A big thank you to the patient for allowing us to post his case and for the excellent documentation he provided also from surgery to result. ******* Pre-surgery Placement 1st Day 2nd Day Placement 1 Month 4 Months 9.5 Months 15 Months Wet Hair
  15. Thanks for updating with the stories. Good news at this stage of the growth.
  16. This patient has been on medication for some time and obviously knows the importance of continuing to do so. He knew also the importance of future planning and was specific as to what he wanted to achieve from his first procedure and realistically knew there could be the need for more surgeries in the future. With a slightly conservative hair line approach, in keeping with age, and frontal third coverage, as was his priority, we placed into the lateral humps where there were signs of miniaturisation and potential future loss, so in essence addressing the concerns raised. He did have higher than average groupings and indeed higher than average density and thus made a good candidate. He was not average with respect to this. The patient has options of future Strip/FUT followed by subsequent FUE so as to maximize the donor availability, carried out step by step with sufficient planning at every stage.
  17. The patient was in his mid thirties and on hair loss medication. Donor density being 83 FUs per cm/2. This patient's groupings were so good that from the 4100 FUs, we placed 10,616 actual hairs, averaging to almost 2.6 hairs per FU, and well above the average. This case shows design & placement pictures, followed with updates of post 8 and 12 months detailing relative progression and comparison pictures. Please note that the updated pictures were all supplied by the patient himself, in natural light and not taken in or by the clinic. 18. Looking very good for this stage, many thanks for updating it and plenty more to come.
  19. Hi watchitgrow and thank you for updating your case. I think looking very nice already and as said the hair coarseness is a bonus for sure but with your hair type there are naturally lower groupings of hairs per follicular unit, so there is give and take. A fairly large area covered and I personally think the right approach also as now the next stage will be to then go into the crown and concentrate on going backwards. The hair will refine more as it cycles and at under 9 months growth still to come. It is never easy for a patient to post a case and most simply do not from my experience and for many reasons some of which you mentioned also so thank you for being willing to share and look forwards to the final result and then the next stage for you.
  20. I believe the patient is in contact with the clinic and all is well so far and sure he will update accordingly but I expect a nice change by now.
  21. From the patient comment in this thread that Dr.B listens to his patients then I would assume the design was agreed upon at consultation and within wishes of the patient and in fact he states his goals here in this thread also as the following "create density on top and frame my existing mature hairline" The patient's age (mid 40s from what I read here), donor density, loss potential etc all play a part in the design and temple closure lower would have meant far more graft distribution to the front and then not covering back as far as we did with the numbers so personally on this case I can see why the design was such and in line with his defined goals also.
  22. Thanks for the update ej and glad the beard hair made a difference for you and happy to see you again whenever.
