  1. This guy doesn't look happy but he should be... that's a great result!
  2. Fantastic results, congrats! No surprise it's from Dr. Wong.
  3. Elite docs work on patients from all over the globe. Local demographics don't mirror their cliental.
  4. Yes, in that the surgeon can locate multi-hair grafts and grafts from healthier regions of the donor which go a longer way in building density. That said, @makehairgreatagain had Dr. Konior do FUT for his crown and it's as dense has one could hope for.
  5. Pics are little glarey/blurry, but from what I can tell you shouldn't get the crown transplanted just yet. Wait it out a few years. If you get FUE, you won't need 1,200 grafts to fill it up. 700 might do the trick.
  6. Wait, so this is your 8 month vs. 12 month result? Looks like you had some late growth. Could have been worse.
  7. I've had six FUT surgeries. Nobody can tell, and I don't wear my hair super long either.
  8. Yup. My two younger brothers, both well in their 30's, have full heads of hair. One of which still has their juvenile hairline.
  9. My dad: NW2 at 65 Me: NW6 at 40 (though I was NW6 in my 20's) 🖕Mother nature!
  10. Yup, looks like the early stages of MPB to me. You still got a lot of hair, so definitely consider getting on finasteride to hold on to what you have. Getting blood tests are fine and dandy, but you'll also probably want to get a miniaturization check with a reputable hair transplant surgeon. Just don't rush into surgery, whatever you do, especially if you're only 21.
  11. A few hundred grafts will give you what Bruce Willis has on top, but it won't bring back your lateral humps and/or crown. Maybe a small FUE and then a SMP procedure will get what you want.
  12. Dr. Konior, no question, in my opinion. Especially if you are planning on doing a smaller session. He'll make every graft count.
  13. The ugly duckling stage is less bad in round 2, huh? I think you're poised for exciting times in the months ahead. Regarding shampoo, with my first procedures I did baby shampoo for a few weeks post-op. My last round I just used an Aveda (organic) shampoo immediately after the procedure and it really didn't seem to make any difference.
  14. I absolutely agree with Melvin. You should get a FUT megasession with H&W for your first round. You need to do whatever you can to maximize grafts, so FUT first (maybe 2nd if your scalp elasticity permits), then FUE is the best way to achieve that.
  15. No way to know except to try. I was on fin for 2 years before my first HT at 28. It might reverse your thinning short-term, but to what degree and for how long is the question. Try fin for a few years before anything else. PRP is still new...
  16. Incredible work @DrTBarghouthi! Very natural direction of the crown whorl. This guy must be very close to having 100% yield with this surgery! The first HT is always crucial and you set him up for both short-term and longterm success. Keep us posted with any updates with this patient. 🙌
  17. Looks like both DUPA and retrograde to me. You're 25 so it's only going to get worse. Give fin a try, but even if it works out for you short-term you can expect to lose ground in your 30-40's. So tread very carefully with HT's. Recommendations to shave your head are definitely worth considering.
  18. Oh yeah, Dr. Shapiro is renowned for his hairlines. Dr. Cooley is great as well, definitely consult with both!
  19. 💯 I didn't fully understand this before round 1, so I initially set myself up for disappointment. Now that I'm in the "touch-up" stage in my HT journey I'm happy I did it, but I needed to recalibrate my expectations along the way. I do think that a lot of the HT marketing materials mislead new patients in what they can expect with one procedure, especially if they are young and have more hair loss coming down the pike.
  20. This is an easy fix, but only in the best of hands. I'd definitely consult with Dr. Shapiro since hairlines are his speciality. I think you'll need to punch out (via FUE) some of the poorly angled grafts on the sides, but fortunately I don't see too many multi-haired grafts in the hairline. The frontal tuft needs a boost in density, and the hairline is a bit too straight. But again, this wouldn't be a difficult case for the docs you're consulting with.
  21. Can't do any better than Dr. Konior and Dr. Shapiro. Congrats on making wise life choices!
