  1. Month 6 There are grafts growing now. Went through a life change past few months and havnt paid much attention to the hairs during that period. Before you know it, you can def notice some growth. Transplant site still has numbness, but has reduced from initially. Hope the numbness goes away this year. To recap this is 1500 grafts FUE in the frontal area. The hairline is from a previous procedure. Nadimis work is behind that to add some density in the frontal zone. Looking forward to month 9 and 12.
  2. Attached pic is 2.5 mo post procedure. Keep in mind front line of hair is existing and not from this procedure. Was from a previous procedure. That explains that hair being thicker. The transplant site for this right behind it. At the moment transplant Area is still numb. Donor site feels normal. Just playing the waiting game. Deciding whether I should buzz off all my hair again or just let it grow. Will likely provide another update at 4mo mark. I don't think it'll be of any value providing updates too often as changes are minimal.
  3. The majority of transplanted hair has shed. I want to say it shed around week 2 or 3. Most of it has shed off pretty quick. The pics I just posted above (from Sept 1) prob looks more dense than it actually is as I think a lot of it is shed hair that is sitting on my head. I wasn't profusely scrubbing my head hard around that time so a lot of the loose shed hairs were prob sitting on my head. Once I upload my Oct head, you will be able to tell the difference from all the shed hair fallen off. My frontal transplant area is still numb for the most part. I want to say it's slightly less numb than last month but hard to say. Perhaps very marginally. Will post Oct update shortly
  4. likely to just let them grow. We'll see how well it blends in to the hair behind it. My guess is it may give it a slightly thining up front look. We'll find out up coming winter/spring. Will provide updates.
  5. Here is day 7, which is 1 week post op, today on Aug 10 2021. Did not experience any visual swelling past week. At the moment, top of the head still feels slightly numb. Sometimes get a tingling or microsecond sharp sensation assuming as the feeling comes back. I started resuming normal activities, at a modified manner. I started going to the gym again. Using light weights with higher volume and small isolation movements rather than big compound movements. Also giving ample time to completely cool off before another set. Trying to avoid any high pressure or overexertion. Will prob stick to that for 2 weeks. It's good to vary the workout load anyways. When I'm outside I wear a hat (stiff shape that dosnt touch the grafts) whenever Im not in the shade. I'm generally not wearing a hat if I'm under the shade to allow natural air flow. -John
  6. Here is day 1, Aug 3rd 2021. Keep in mind I had some previous transplanted hair on the front from a subpar clinic. Refer to previous thread from earlier this year, but summarization is not all the grafts grew, hairline is incorrect, too low, incorrect direction, ect. My doner area is limited in grafts so we are working with a large coverage area with limited grafts for this procedure. The new grafts transplanted are behind it. Perhaps not too obvious on day 1 as it's all shaved down. Excuse the creepy facial expression. -John
  7. Transplant area is frontal and mid scalp. Will post pics on following pics as they are on my phone.
  8. Hello gang. I was refered to the Chicago Hair Institute from this forum here earlier this year and we just completed my FUE of 1500 grafts last week at the Chicago Hair Institute. I'll post pic on a following post from my phone. I'll use this thread to post updated pics at various milestones. Most likely every several weeks. I flew in to Chicago from DC area. One thing to keep in mind for out of towners is Oakbrook Ter, where the clinic is, is outside of Chicago city. While downtown Chicago is extremely public transit friendly, the areas outside of Chicago is not. So please plan logistics accordingly. I recommend staying near the clinic for the first day or so. -I personally had an airbnb in Chicago and drove to the clinic with the plan to drive back same day. Although I felt fine after op, i didn't want to concern anyone at the clinic and decided to book an additonal hotel near by and drove there instead of driving back to my airbnb in the city- Day of procedure: If you've never had an in-person consultation before, you will require a 7am in-person consult, prior to the actual procedure. We started in the AM, and finished in the late afternoon. Procedure was smooth. I don't seem to recall the afternoon session after eating lunch where they were implanting the grafts. I think i may have passed out. I had a 4 hour long audio book playing and I woke up with it no longer playing so i either went through it completely or i accidnetly stopped it at some point while passed out. Dr Nadimi personally did majority of the work. Both her and their staff extremely professional throughout the process. Days following, i came in for a quick check up, and on the third day, Dr Nadimi took a look to give the thumbs up. Feel free to ask about my experience. Will post my 1 week post op shortly in a following post from my smart phone.
  9. @24needmore Curious if you have pics of yours? I'm also getting 1500-ish with similar current loss. Perhaps on a seprate thread would be more apprpciate since this is someone else's thread.
  10. I'm really looking forward to the progress as I'm scheduled for FUE with Dr Sahar Nadimi in Aug. Timing is meh as it'll cut summer activities short but atleast it'll give ample timing for the regrowth into the winter. I think Original Poster's timing is perfect as he'll have hair coming in as it really gets warm. I have similar hair loss as Original Poster, however opting for less grafts (Dr. Nadimi discussed 1200-1500) to conserve grafts. Hopefully it'll be enough for coverage. I'd assuming Original Post would have good density given the higher graft count.
  11. Agreed. Thats what I'm thinking. Its a community. I'm happy to host someone who may be getting a procedure here in DC/MD/VA in one of my airbnbs or where I live. The practices near me are Lindsay in VA and Vogel in MD.
  12. I am getting FUE procedure on Aug 2 in Chicago with Dr Sahar Nadimi. Seeing if anybody in the community is willing to host me for a week stay. Happy to consider donation. I'm 35, have an online business, enjoy reading, personal growth, psychology, nutrition/health.
