Ah ok, well I am not a specialist but it seems there still have the silicon (PEG8) and I think Phytic Acid is for the liposomes. To be confirmed by specialists...

If you read the patent, there are lot of ingredient which can be used for liposomes :

Yeah, it's not the liposomes that prevent the absorption but the silicone. I recall Dr Hasson saying in a livestream (unless I'm mistaken) that a pure liposomal carrier went even more systemic than a standard one. Who's to say in this formula the silicone works the same way. If has been changed due to being patented I hope Xyon is able to branch outside north America soon, however with still no indication I'm not hopeful. Even then it will probably just be very select countries.

I used minoxidilmax for minoxidil, I believe @mustang used this product before.

I see alot of people who are using topical Dutateride from Xyon stating they have no side effects, which is great.  But I haven't seen any proof that the medication actually lowers scalp DHT and actually works.  Has anyone gotten bloodwork before and after starting topical Dutasteride?

How would a medication manufactured to lower DHT by up to 90% not lower DHT ?

I am always puzzled by this skepticism

It 100% works when taken orally but because of the molecular weight (Dalton rule, over 500), there is room for questions regarding topical efficacy.  I'm not trying to be skeptical (I actually would like someone to help me find the proof as I'm interested in taking it) but yes, I am slightly skeptical due to the science behind molecular weight regarding what levels allow topical penetration and which do not (Dutasteride falls into the latter).

That is exactly the reason why you would want to use it topically.

I got stupid at one point and applied way too much and too frequently and had pretty bad side effects.

Small dosages, not frequent, it's a long lasting drug.

No sides from using topical dutasteride. (|Xyon). But almost 7 months of use every day and no change at all, except maybe more hair loss from shedding.

Age: 40

Hairloss began at age 23.

Oral Finasteride 1mg daily since 2006, Topical Minoxidil since 2012. Hair transplant 3,400 grafts 2019. Second hair transplant 2,400 grafts in 2023.

That was my biggest concern from this product....no sides, but also little to no efficacy.

I've read somewhere that taking infrequent does of 5AR inhibitors is not good as you're see-sawing your DHT levels and your body isn't able to adjust to its new normal. Not sure if it's true, or where I read it but seems logical on the surface level.

Does anyone have any good peer reviewed articles that deal with systemic reduction in DHT levels that compare oral fin/oral dut/topical fin/topical dut? I'd be curious to see them. I'll look also but would be good if someone knows of any.

Interesting. I also wish there was a similar study that focused on topical Dut vs oral Dut for each of the above points. I vaguely remember one I'll see if I can find it later.

There’s not a lot of studies on Dut because it’s not used for hair loss. It’s studied a lot less than finasteride.

The study you provided is very accurate.  Finasteride is below the molecular weight of the Dalton Rule so therefore, will obviously penetrate the scalp and work similar to oral Finasteride.  However, since Dutasteride is above that weight, that is why there is little evidence that applied topically, that it really works.  This is why most people do not get negative side effects of topical Dut (because they are likely receiving little positive effects also)

A very sensible analysis. Unfortunately for us, only believers can see the amazing results. Do you know the fable of the emperor's new clothes?

For more info (apologies in advance, if you do read it, you'll never get that time back😁)

Dutasteride is near the dalton threshold, so it does penetrate. In fact, there was a case here where the guys DHT significantly reduced.  It does absorb, but to a lesser extent than finasteride. But I recall you were considering oral dutasteride. By no means is a topical going to be more effective. It’s an alternative for those who got side effects, and even then no sides isn’t guaranteed.

Check out Dereks video

I’m very lucky that it has worked well for me, with no sides. I posted this comparison last month. The top picture was taken in April in a thread titled “lighting is everything” it’s very harsh lighting. But it’s not a replacement for oral, just like topical minoxidil isn’t as good as oral.

Derek's video really does highlight the fundamental unanswered questions and lack of proven results with topical Dut. He openly acknowledges his vid is ladened with speculation, caveats and anecdotal evidence.

The vid was made 2+ years ago, and still no meaningful, independent studies.

According to the comments, Derek now sells the stuff at $325 for a month's supply(unverified). Reassuring to know something is growing off the back of topical Dut ... even if it's just Derek's bank balance😁

Topical dut doesn’t work I was in a discord server for 2 years we tried every formulation every single topical dut literally took blood tests and everything. Nobody had results and it failed badly I’m sorry for everyone falling into the xyon topical dut scam they don’t even have proper double blind studies . The best topical dut solution was gonna be from a company called moogene medi or hutera which has a patent

I've been looking for proof that topical Dut worked as I was really hoping to try it but my research matches your opinion (that it likely doesn't work very well, if at all).  Topical Fin likely works, and seems that it could work as well as oral but there are mixed results in the studies as to what the proper dose would be, that would allow the most benefit while causing the least amount of side effects.  Too much and it can have the same sides as oral but too little and it likely wouldn't be effective enough to use.
