  1. You heard it heard first ... anyone interested in finding a clinic that does PRP 'correctly' should DM @mustang for more info.😉 Do you have any views on the substantive point on the lack of quality control, accountability, FDA oversight and lack of documented results with companies such as XYON?
  2. I think this is most likely contempt for the patient rather than racism. Who does their research and concludes 1500 FU's on high Norwood in the party capital of a third world country will yield favourable results (they do make a mean Mojito tho)? As for the victim mentality, I'm minded of the famous quote: A strong, successful man is not the victim of his environment. He creates favorable conditions. His own inherent force and energy compel things to turn out as he desires. Orison Swett Marden
  3. And if you want further evidence, it's all marketing hogwash, then click on their 'amazing' results advert. It states: Real Patients. Undeniable Results Witness the incredible patient outcomes. Fantastic, you've got my attention! Now show me the evidence. Sadly none of the examples provides a documented journey. Imagine if the HRN's 'Hair Transplant Reviews' were so pitiful rather than the detailed journeys we all appreciate. If an individual simply put up a before and after picture on the forum promoting a clinic/doctor they would rightly be called out. If regular joes can do such a good then we should ask the question why can't companies charging $$$ for their product do the same? What are they hiding?
  4. It's all business baby! How many reputable HT clinics offer a course of PRP costing thousands with no proven benefit? What is interesting when you read the small print with XYON they state: XYON is not a healthcare providernor does it practice medicine or pharmacy. Talk about washing your hands of accountability. So what is XYON? XYON facilitates telehealth appointments (“Telehealth Services”) between Customers and independent healthcare providers who may be able to provide treatment to Customers (“Telehealth Providers”). And if there was any doubt in your mind on accountability and quality control, they double down on their legal status: All Telehealth Providers and Pharmacy Providers are third party service providers. XYON does not control, supervise or interfere with the practices of such third parties. Pays your money you take your choice ...
  5. That's very promising. They can emerge before 3 months, but unless you are using magnification, they won't be visible to the naked eye. Over the next few weeks and months, they will appear as terminal hairs.
  6. I like your style - You should be a diplomat👍
  7. Do you mean the hairs that push through after the shedding phase? Those tend to be thin and translucent until they mature.
  8. Oh, the irony of the thread title 'Everything You Need To Know About Topical Dutasteride'. No one has a clue. Apart from a few anecdotal cases, the results are non-existent/unsubstantiated. To fill the gaping void in empirical data, we have all the marketing B.S. about 'vehicles' and % of active ingredients. These companies are selling a product and need you to buy into their storyline/USP. Don't get suckered in and lose sight of the real reason you use a product, RESULTS. Start with the results (if you can find any) and work back. Only if there is a pattern of success, you may indulge in theories on why it works. Everything else is just hot air filling up bandwidth.
  9. Could you provide some details on your protocol? frequency?, product used?, side effects?, level of improvement? and most importantly photos of your progress. I hear references to multiple success stories but not much to support the claims.
  10. @jim1973 I don't think anyone can deny the results in the advert are impressive. Have you been able to find out anything about their journey/protocol?
  11. It looks fine👍 You've jumped out of the plane (surgery). With due diligence, you have chosen your doctor wisely based on proven results (parachute). You must follow the clinic's instructions for a safe and satisfying landing (amazing results). ps. Worry is natural, but you ain't getting back in the plane now😁
  12. Derek's video really does highlight the fundamental unanswered questions and lack of proven results with topical Dut. He openly acknowledges his vid is ladened with speculation, caveats and anecdotal evidence. The vid was made 2+ years ago, and still no meaningful, independent studies. According to the comments, Derek now sells the stuff at $325 for a month's supply(unverified). Reassuring to know something is growing off the back of topical Dut ... even if it's just Derek's bank balance😁
  13. Wait a full year on Fin. Assess if you have made or lost ground. If your meds have not improved your condition, consider increasing the dose and including Dut. (I would bring in the big guns earlier than a year, but your call) Is there hair loss in the family? It's a pretty accurate predictor of your destination (unless you respond well to the meds). Don't fixate on graft counts/sessions (as you have seen by the range of responses, it means very little). Try to find cases with similar hair characteristics and independent results.
  14. A very sensible analysis. Unfortunately for us, only believers can see the amazing results. Do you know the fable of the emperor's new clothes? For more info (apologies in advance, if you do read it, you'll never get that time back😁) (removed)
  15. Optimistic is good. Blocking DHT while you are young is a good strategy for retaining your hair. As we age, our DHT levels become less and, therefore, less of a factor in hair loss. The sting in the tail, like every other organ in the human body, we degrade with age. Hair FU's are no different.
  16. Brilliant! Always someone thinking of new ways to upsell in the HT biz. I
  17. Noticeably off-set from the light switch. This matters if the light source is above. The illumination of your crown is less in the 2nd photo (as seen in the comparison of the enlarged photos below. Additionally, the quality of the images is poor, especially in the 2nd photo. Do you color your hair? The 2nd photo of the crown has a purple hue.
  18. I feel it's unethical for clinics to place the burden on the patient. What next? new paid-for-options for different solutions for preserving grafts between extraction and implantation😒. We already have ridiculous options given by some clinics on methods of implantation. They are the 'experts' they should provide a service that gives optimum results consistently for all patients. They resolve the technicalities to achieve the BEST possible RESULTS. Let the patient decide which clinic based on the results and let them relax knowing they are in expert hands.
  19. Great brows bro:-) Do yourself a favor and get on finasteride asap. You have a window of opportunity to restore and maintain your hairline. As with all meds evaluate the side effects if any and look to reduce the dose if required.
  20. It's notoriously difficult to get consistency between photos but consistency is the gold standard if we are to make meaningful comparisons. As you can see in the highlighted area the color of the wall in the left-hand picture is brighter. Note the left-hand picture has a light switch. It's missing from the right-hand picture. This suggests the subject is standing in a different position. Why is that important? depending on where you are positioned in relation to the light source has a profound effect. My suggestion for future comparisons is to use the light switch as a visual reference point.
  21. More than that the one on the left look wet or has product in it and is flattened down, compared to a dry fluffy appearance on the right. Is anyone else seeing that?
  22. No need to worry. As long as you chose a good doctor with proven results it's just a waiting game.
  23. Cheers for the info. The official results look far less impressive. I don't understand how the guy in the thumbnail has got his hands on the product when it says 'Coming Soon' on the website 😕
  24. @Melvin- Moderator Impressive results in the YouTube thumbnail. Was this achieved exclusively by CosmeRNA? Where can we read more about this patient's case?
  25. Interesting ... Numerous views, yet no one has voted.🙄 * New option added to the poll for the undecided.
