  1. My opinion, you didn't need a transplant. This is poor long term planning, using too much donor now.
  2. Has any doctor commented about the hair on the sides of your head, above the ears, which appears to be thinning in the pictures you posted.
  3. I think you're too young for a HT and definitely too young to be putting hair into the crown.
  4. Sorry, but your comments do suggest you're neurotic.
  5. Most minoxidil formulations have alcohol in them, which will inflame the scalp and could adversely affect your grafts. I would stay away from it for a while.
  6. Are you still using finasteride? What does the dermatologist think about a 27 year old using blood pressure medication, and it's long term impact on your circulatory system?
  7. Have you been treated for anxiety or depression in the past? If so, surgery might be a problem for you.
  8. Based on the photos posted so far, I can't tell if the density of the transplant is lacking. Has this poster lost more hair since the transplant, is he on finasteride? What did the doctor do to cause "scalp fibrosis"?
  9. The placement of the grafts looks pretty good. It's hard to tell what you're talking about with respect to density given the pictures you've posted. Have you lost more hair due to mpb since your transplant two years ago?
  10. Doesn't TRT increase the risk of prostate cancer?
  11. I read a while back about Finasteride Liposomal Gel, produced in Italy. It apparently has 1/18 of the amount of finasteride as the pill, but is effective and doesn't have the side effects. The doctor that wrote about it is Chiara Insalaco, M.D. Under U.S. regulations, you can't import pharmaceuticals from foreign countries, which is disappointing.
  12. I think it's a terrible idea for young men to be taking oral blood pressure medication to save their hair. Cardiac health is ultra important, not something to be taken lightly. I wonder what a cardiologist would say about it.
  13. The difference besides the skill of the surgeon is physiology. It's why some people heal well and some don't.
  14. Did you ever have some of the plugs removed and redistributed?
  15. A miscalibrated CT scan gives enough radiation to cause hair loss, but a CT scan gives off about 100 times the level of radiation of a basic x-ray. You are obsessing over nothing. I try and limit the number of x-rays I receive because in general radiation is not good for you. The level of radiation from a digital dental x-ray is lower than conventional dental x-ray.
  16. You put it in the back to mix with other hair. I would avoid having it placed in the front, because it is wiry. I had to keep my beard long while the donor spots healed under the chin.
  17. Dental x-rays don't cause hair loss, the level of radiation isn't high enough. If I were you, I would tell the doctor to take less x-rays and insist on digital x-rays. If he insists on 16-17 x-rays, find another dentist.
  18. A bucket hat that blocks all uv light from reaching your scalp.
  19. The scarring I had was minimal, not noticeable. I would recommend to try and save the hairs in the plugs that you have removed. They can be dissected out under magnification and used to create a natural dusting look or more, depends on how you want it to look. Every follicle counts. You may change your mind in the future, the technology may change, better therapies may be available.
