  1. WTF ?? Brett is crazy !! He f***** up.... So he went to Serkan Aygin ?...😅 Serkan has improved a lot nevertheless he is still a hairmill. Some people get incredible results from Serkan's techs. Some get destroyed. There were couple youtubers such as Dr. Mogrey, Sylvain Carbonnel, Jeremy Delattre and also some italian patients on Belicapelli who got phenomenal results from Serkan. Like really phenomenal. I have to admit it although I don't like Serkan. But we all know the moderator Bola has an affiliation with Serkan, Koray and hence cherry picks the best results. There are others who got really bad ones. There was one really really bad published by youtuber tenermaspelo. It was a guy who got badly overharvested at Serkan's clinic. Also if I remember correctly, Joseph Tillman's undercover video in a turkish hairmill were actually shot in Serkan's old clinic in Istanbul. The same Joseph Tillman who is now promoting his new friend Koray Erdogan... 🤦‍♀️😂 First of all I would like to point out that Brett Maverick didn't even require a hair transplant surgery. He should have just kept taking Finasteride. I understand he is some sort of model and thus is trying to look his best to make money and pursue his career but seriously he was barely balding. Okay he had a little bit of hairline recession but nothing crazy nothing stupid. It was really acceptable even for a model or an actor... Serkan's technicians all have extremely different levels of skills. The best ones are very close to matching the best FUE surgeons in Spain/Belgium while the rest isn't probably more skilled than you and me lol.... I hope at least for Brett he was give the best team of techs since he was documenting his journey on youtube in exchange of discount. Otherwise imagine being a model and getting a botched hairline, having to repair it etc....It would be a nightmare for him. I hope he will be lucky. 🙏 Also if he wants to shave the back of his head later down the road he's gonna be in a bad position because of poorly performed extractions and FUE white dot scars...
  2. I really hope you never went to ASMED bro... Shame on Karadeniz for giving you such a poor result...Terrible surgeon. I'm telling you this guy is overated. Zero skills and extreme arogance. Zero growth basically. He totally wasted 3600 of your grafts 😡 I really don't understand why you returned to him for a "touch-up". Guys when a transplant turns out to be such a failure NEVER go back to the same place.
  3. I'd say Zarev is the absolute GOAT if we judge purely based on available results. His results are better, wilder, denser, more incredible than Umar Sanusi, Eugenix, Hasson & Wong or any other "in the discussion for GOAT" doctor. But again we don't have enough independant reviews and patient testimonials from Zarev to be able to conclude that he is truly the GOAT.... Zarev's result on HugoX is the best one I have ever seen. Ever. But he has only 40-50 youtube videos on his channel which is not a lot considering the fact that he's been around for a decade... Also he may have many poor/subpar results too. Every doctor has as we all know... You never know. Maybe. Maybe not. I have no idea to be honest. My favorite surgeons are Pinto, Bisanga, Freitas, Couto. They might bit a bit overhyped by the forum but they do produce excellent, natural, dense on a very consistent basis. Pitella, Ferreira, Ximena Vila are also very very promising too. Konior is excellent too. He is arguably the best in the US. Unfortunately his prices are absolutely ridiculous.... Worst hairmill are Songul Alci, Arenamed and Sanantur. Check out Mesiasss4. He's got plenty of cases from those scalp butchers. They basically just destroy your donor and recipient and block you on whatsapp 6 months later when you realize the botch. Trust me they are even worse than AsliTarcan, Koray Erdogan, Abdulaziz Balwi etc.... There is also a very bad "surgeon" in Spain called Eduardo Lopez Bran. Dude is often on spanish TV and portrays himself as an authority in the field. 😂 But when you look at his results they are horrific. He literally slays your donor area with the ARTAS robot.
  4. Waw Loic.... I gotta say I was extremely worried for you.... Koray's nurses have lots of really really bad results here and on the french hairloss forum too... I guess you know. They are one of the worst and most expensive hairmills out there. Your situation at 7 months was heartbreaking and highly worrisome... I was thinking you were gonna be one of those botched jobs from ASMED. But thanks God turned out fine. 🙏 Now if I had to judge your final result. It' not a spectacular result. You should have had close to a full head of hair with your degree of baldness and the number of grafts used. With ASMED the definition of a good result is not getting botched/overharvested in the first place and having at least SOME graft survival in the recipient area. Happy end. Just curiously did you get back on oral minoxidil ?
  5. Konior might well be the GOAT. Insane result for 4 months. May I ask how much you spent ? As far as I know he usually charges between 10$ and 14$ per graft. Sometimes even more and it depends on how difficult is the case. Thanks !
  6. No surgery is scarless. Any clinic that promises that is a red flag. It could be very minimal scarring if the punch size is small, if the extractor is highly skilled, if your hair to skin contrast plays in your favor IF IF IF.... But there is always going be some degree of scarring especially when you shave to a zero. Dr. Wesley is a decent surgeon but this is just a way for him to market himself....
  7. Excellent question. Well the problem is for example if your transplant turns out to be a failure (unatural, very low density etc...) and you are not happy then you will want to shave your head. But the problem is even with you go with a razor the white dots from FUE like Mister Rolandas for instance or a wide FUT scar like Joe Rogan will be visible. So not only your balding pattern that many headshavers refer to as "the shadow" will be visible but also the scars.... Now of course some people scar worse than other. If FUE then it'll depend on how well the extractions were spread out, punch size, hair to skin contrast, your own body healing capacity. I've seen cases of guys shaving their head after FUE wherr the donor was looking very bad because of white dots. And others where it's barely noticeable. But you have to plan for the worse. Now from what you described your hairloss is already significant. The crown is a black hole for grafts and it takes at least 2 sucessful surgeries to get decent coverage. I would think about it twice. If you are already ready to shave your head then getting SMP (although it's also a minefield industry too and it also has lots of limitations) might be a safer bet since it will preserve your donor and conceal your balding pattern in case you decide to shave you head. Like Gatsby and other experienced guys told you, sometimes it's better not to get a hair tranplant... It's not what you wanna hear as a young man losing hair. Hairloss is devastating. I know. It s*****....But it's what you need to hear. And if you do decide to get one then you gotta do your research like crazy and go with an excellent doctor. And even then you might not be satisfied. And of course commit to at least Finasteride long term. Finasteride is a bit overhyped too. Not just in terms of sides effects but also and more importantly in terms of efficacy. It's certainly not a cure for hairloss at all. It absolulety does not regrow any hair at all. At very best it might thicken up existing miniaturized hairs. But it is the most effective treatment to slow down hairloss significantly and minimize the needs for future for transplants, donor supply being limited as you know. There is Dutasteride too of course and some other hardcore anti androgens and estrogens of course but these are not really viable.
  8. ASMED is a notorious hairmill with many bad results on this forum and unethical behaviour. They were removed from the forum recommendation a very long time ago. This is one of the rare good results from Koray's nurses... 50% of their results are average, 40% are botched jobs with poor growth and less than 10% could be described as satisfactory. I am happy that you got extremely lucky bro ! But for anyone reading this: stay away from Koray Erdogan.
  9. Dr. James Harris Hair Sciences Center, Denver Colorado.
  10. The number one golden rule is DO NOT GET A HAIR TRANSPLANT... Unless you have done your research extremely diligently, understand all the possible risks and limitations and have realistic/low expectations. Hair transplants a always a gamble. Even with a top surgeons... You have to accept and understand that before deciding to get one. I'd say with a top surgeon 1/10 result is excellent 1/10 is subpar 8/10 are average to average +.
  11. The Hairloss Show doctors, Haircafé, Dr. Oscar Muñoz, MorePlatesMoreDates are all reliable sources of information who have gone in depth about Dutasteride. Short answer is: it's FDA approved since the 2000s for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia, also caused by the exact same hormone: DHT. The company just doesn't want to spend billions of dollars to get FDA approval for hairloss as well. Just not worth it for them at this point. That's why it's prescribed off label. We have enough data and evidence showing that Dutasteride is safe, effective in treating both Prostate Enlargement as well as Androgenetic Alopecia and it has minimal side effects. But just like any other drug, it's a chemical so there is always a risk even though it's extremely rare... But If you don't feel comfortable then no problem. I understand that. It's your personnal decision. 👍 Surgery is possible for you but it is just important to understand and accept the risks and limitations as explained above.
  12. What exactly did Dr. Pradeep Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal say in regards to your result ? I totally understand that they were dealing with a very complicated situation in the first place (advanced baldness + depleted donor area)... Your options were very limited. I get it and I do not blame them. But still I find it either naive or unethical to perform a procedure if you know in advance that this is going to be the outcome.... I mean an experienced surgeon should be capable of predicting pretty easily how well the beard hairs would blend with the rest of the scalp hairs once they are transplanted on the scalp.... Also your beard extraction has been poorly performed. Luckily, it's not a big deal since it can be fixed easily with 100 grafts but this is not the first case with highly questionable extraction that I see from Eugenix. Captain Haddock also had visible donor overharvesting... And I've seen a couple cases where the temples work was botched. All this which make me reconsider this clinic. I appreciate they offered you a small repair surgery for your beard. It shows they stand by their work and do care about patients. I hope you will be offered some kind of repair or refund for the unatural result that you got on the scalp. Again the improvement in coverage is there, graft survival was good and you may benefit from using a straightener. But this is a typical case of very poor planning.
  13. Okay Good luck bro. I hope you find a good doctor that will give a good result this time Insha-Allah 🙏
  14. Yes I agree. Definitely don't go to Turkey...You will get botched once again and this time there won't be any chance left. Only doctors I would ever consider for myself there are Dr. Bicer, Dr. Gur, Dr. Turan and MAYBE Dr. Keser and Dr. Demirsoy. They do good work but I don't know how skilled they would be for repair surgery. Never seen much from any of them. Forget about the Veras, Yamans SmileHairs, Ilker Apaydin, the Doganays, Hair of Istanbul, Emrah cinik, Karadeniz, Serkan Aygin, Aslan Musbeh etc....All hairmills. All other clinics in Turkey are crap. Some are certainly much worse than others but it's a gamble.
  15. Wow sorry to hear about your experience. This again shows that ABHRS or IAHRS or ISHRS means absolutely NOTHING.... In this case specifically, Ekrem Civas is ABHRS certified but his results are crap... Bisanga, Mwamba and even Ferudini do good work for donor repair yes. Pinto and Ximena are also solid choices for repair cases but Pinto is fully booked at the moment. You could try Freitas too. You don't have much donor left and I am not sure you would have enough to cover everything especially the crown.... If you don't wanna bother and risk transplants anymore, getting SMP every 1-2 years would be an easier choice. I'd rather do that. Chasing additionnal transplants are crap would be pretty consuming emotionally and financially. But just do your research diligently. The SMP industry is also a minefield. Just like hair transplants. Also give medication a try. You never know. You might be a hyper responder if you are lucky. Dutasteride 0.5mg + oral minoxidil 2.5mg
  16. Truth is no clinic in Turkey is specialized in that type of hairloss my friend... 99% of clinics in Turkey are bad hairmills and they are terrible at doing diffuse thinners. You have diffuse hairloss but luckily it's VERY minimal. Since you require 800ish grafts and hence will not have to spend much, I suggest you choose an excellent surgeon such as Konior, Pinto, Bisanga, Ferreira who has the required skillset to sucessfully implant in between native hairs.
  17. Joseph Tillman used to be one of the best and most reliable sources of information in regards to hair transplants. I'm sure he has helped thousands of guys. However I gotta say that I am EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED since he started working with ASMED.... I just couldn't believe it but every man has a price. Asmed is terrible. We all know it very well and I am sure Joseph Tillman knows it better than anybody else yet he accepted to get paid for promoting them.... I was a long time follower of his youtube channel and listener of the Bald Truth show with Spencer but recently I unsubcribed.
  18. Actually you are going to be operated mostly by the technicians from Hasson & Wong clinic. Dr. Hasson will only perform the planning and incisions. Extractions and Implantation is done by the technicians.
  19. Vera is a hairmill. Certainly not the worst but it's a gamble. I've seen very good results but also cases of pretty badly overharvested donor areas. You may get lucky but you may also get your donor area permanently damaged for life. The Vera clinic has many different teams of technicians. Some are much more experienced than others. You never know who you gonna get. If you care about your hair and you have already significant hairloss then I honestly don't think Vera is worth the risk... I mean what if you get a bad donor management ? You gonna have to go a repair expert in western Europe and that'll cost you 10-15 000€.... There is this youtuber Amir who got a good result from them. I guess he was offered a discount or the surgery for free in exchange of documenting the process. But when youtubers go to a particulae clinic and advertise them they are generally given the very best team of nurses. Not the case with the average Joe. So you can't draw conclusions based on that and expect to get the same result...
  20. I don't know... I listened to a podcast a while ago with Melvin Lopez and Dr. Charles. Dr. Charles seemed like a great guy and competent. But recently there was a really bad case published on the forum. Now we all know all surgeons have bad results. Nothing new. I am sure he has many good results since he is considered legit and has stood the test of time. But what really surprised me is the way Dr. Charles handled the situation. He was refusing to admit the bad result and was blaming the patients hair characteristics etc...while it was pretty obvious that the result was crap. Also I went to his youtube channel and he performed a surgery on Erik Coleman, a former NFL player. The result 2 years post surgery isn't much different from his situation before surgery. Again, I have nothing against Dr. Charles and this is by no means a post against him but I suggest you keep researching other surgeons too. There are interesting options in Portugal/Belgium/Spain. You should never limit your choice to 1 clinic.
  21. the good news is you don't have much hairloss. Your crown is starting to thin but it's still at the early stages. I would try a stronger stack before going into surgery. Try Dutasteride 0.5mg daily, oral minoxidil 2.5mg daily as well as Fluridil or RU58841 once daily. Give it a good 6 months. Surgery is always last resort. Fails, poor growth, subpar results, botched jobs often happen as you know and even with a great surgeon results are not guaranteed while grafts are limited... If the stronger pharmaceutical stack doesn't work then Pinto, Bisanga, Ximena Vila, Zarev, Pitella, Ferreira are capable of achieving good results on diffuse thinners and are good for crown work specifically. They are expensive but still affordable you are looking to spend anywhere from 6k to 10k. I guess you don't need more than 2000 grafts. I like Dr. Umar and Dr. Konior in the US but they are both crazy expensive. But again. Do your research and don't rush. Surgery is always a risk no matter how reputable is the surgeon you choose. And of course you should avoid turkish hairmills. The SmileHairs, the Ciniks, the Veras, the Balwis, the Serkans, Acars, Korays, AsliTarcans etc....You may be lucky and get and outstanding result for 3 times cheaper but you may also get destroyed for life. It's russian roulette. Last thing try to use some of those beard grafts to preserve your donor as much as possible !
