  1. I'm 4 months postop. I keep having this sharp pain in both temple areas that has lasted for 3 the past months. I experience it twice a week. Has anyone felt this pain before? What have you done to eliminate this pain?
  2. Yeah my doc told me to wait a year. But I requested to see him earlier and he said he can assess me sooner as long as everything leading up to that point looks good enough.
  3. I understand but 2 - 3 years is just too much wait time. From what I've been observing here, 90% of patients dont wait that long for a 2nd round of transplants.
  4. Nahhh.. what others have said about waiting 10 -12 months sounds more sound.
  5. Ok I gotcha. I want more density in the area already transplanted. But damn, 12 months is a long time! Hope the doc can make an exception at 10 months
  6. How soon after a transplant can you get another transplant? Is it possible to get a 2nd transplant 4 months after your 1st transplant?
  7. Honestly, my hair before the operation grew much faster than what google suggests. But more importantly, your google quote doesnt take into account postop hair growth rate. If there are others who'd like to give their experience, I'd greatly appreciate it!
  8. Hi everyone.. It's been 15 weeks since my transplant, havent cut my hair since but the length is a mere 1.5 inches. I can't believe this is happening and I'm going crazy over this! When will my hair finally grow at the normal rate again??
  9. Are you sure?? Dr. Couto told me to use whatever gentle shampoo 2 weeks after my surgery.
  10. I know but it feels like the pinches of pain in my temple areas are contributing to the shedding which I interpret as permanent hair loss. I then end up massaging these areas in the hopes that that will mitigate the pinch pain. And as I've said, this has been going on intermittently several weeks after the surgery.. I'm 3 months postop.
  11. Appreciate that. Last question.. As stated, I'm 3 months postop. At times during sleep I rest the side of my head on the pillow because I cant sleep constantly in one direction facing up. The problem with resting on the side of my head on my pillow is that upon waking I feel discomfort (but no pain) on the temple area and fear that may affect my grafts. Again, its not pain but discomfort. Do you think this is cause for alarm even at 3 months postop? Do you think this is cause for alarm?
