  1. Waw ! Over 4000 grafts for someone who is relatively young and only a Norwood 2.5 hairline with minimal loss ? Well I mean okay it's not like you're 20 without being on medication. You are 29 and your miniaturization seems to be stabilized thanks to the use of finasteride so you are an okay candidate but still the fact they did 4000 grafts only for a Norwood 2.5 hairline to me seems way exagerated.... Reminds me of this similar case from the same clinic and the result was really subpar... Did you ask specifically to get 4000 grafts ? Or was it the clinic's suggestion ? Did they elaborate a long term strategy and how about your total donor capacity ? Anyways I wish you a happy recovery ! All the best
  2. I would totally second what Gasthoerer said. I ALWAYS recommend doing a small test surgery first to evalute the graft survival. Way too many patients make the mistake of going with a large procedure.... I've seen sooo many cases of guys throughout the years especially who are Norwood 4-5 and get 5000 grafts megassion and there is literally ZERO survival.... Most famous cases on this forum are the numerous ASMED bad results. But I've also seen a few poor cases from reputable places such as Hasson & Wong and I remember even one from Dr. Couto on belicapelli ! So yes you are right. The risk of poor survival exists. Even with top doctors and even if you are on medication and doing everything right. Sad but true... Hair transplant is always a big gamble and a lottery. You can never guess the outcome and it is important to be prepared mentally for it and you have to accept that before going forward and getting surgery. It's like playing poker. You have to accept the possibility of failure and losing it all before you start gambling... Also discuss that specific aspect with your surgeon. Ask him openly what if things go wrong and my grafts don't grow back ? Will I be given a refund in case of total failure or free touch-up in case of sligthly subpar result ? But of course it is a very bad idea to return to the same place if they give a bad result in the first place... All in all, your chances of sucess should be quite high if you go to a great surgeon and if you are medication. But be prepared psychologically for all scenarios. There is not much more you can do except 3 things 1. Chosing a great doctor with a history of good and consistent results and as few bad results as possible. Remember no doctor is perfect. There is no such doctor that hasn't messed up at least one patient. For every great cherry picked result that you see online, there at least 5 or 10 unhappy patients with subpar results. 2. Being on medication at least 6 months to a year prior to surgery in order to strengthen both your donor as well as the native miniaturized hairs on the recipient area and hopefully improve the outcome of your surgery. 3. Checking with a very experienced trichologist if you are experiencing a rare skin condition such as scarring alopecia, Lichen Planopilaris, folliculitis etc... that may jeopardize the growth of the grafts. All the best and good luck ! 🙏
  3. I totally understand your frustration about your donor area... Your results on the recipient area are good. Your crown and your frontal third seems to have achieved full coverage. But as a hairloss victim myself, I 100% get why your are frustrated. I would trust Dr. Muresanu if he offers a free repair for the permanent shockloss little patch caused by your first FUT with them. Otherwise like I said I'd look into donor repair with Dr. Bisanga or Dr. Mwamba or maybe consider SMP.
  4. Jan, how would you rate the results of your second surgery on the vertex with Dr. Bekir ? Looks like it's filled in pretty nicely.
  5. How is Dr. Keser's english by the way ? He often gets a lot of criticism because he does not seem to use magnifying microscopes. But he seems to be very involved and do every step of the surgery by himself. I've never seen much from Keser on higher Norwoods but I gotta say that his hairlines generally look solid in terms of density and naturalness. I remember a crazy guy back in 2018 who was panicking and posting on each and every single hairloss forum (here, turkish sacekimirsonluclari, international hairloss forum, belicapelli, alopziede) thrashing Keser's reputation because he had poor density until month 5 and then ended up getting amazing growth between month 5 and month 6. His was a Norwood 3 with significant recession and result was amazing with only 1700 grafts. Some people don't even get such results with 4000 grafts... Therefore I am pretty confident your result is going to be good. Happy growth and good luck.
  6. Bisanga is truly amazing. Every cent you spent was 100% worth it. This is a REAL homerun. Not one of those unfortunate crap results where people keep saying to guys at 6 months "it's still early no panic you are a late bloomer" just to be nice while in reality we all know it's a totally failed surgery.... Minimal hairloss + excellent surgeon = +95% survival & early growth. Looks like the little spot on the right side that you were worried about because hairs fell out with the bunch of scabs has also filled in nicely without any problem !!! 👍 Btw who were the techs who performed the implantation phase ?
  7. Wow I actually thought your case was much worse to begin with. The good news is your really don't have much hairloss at all... Norwood 2 maximum. I'm sure Mwamba will fix your hairline and nicely homogenize your depleted donor. Happy growth !
  8. So how was the final result ?.... I guess he's gone ghost after a crap result unfortunately... I hope for this guy I'm wrong though.... Dr. Karadeniz is a hairmill. Just like Hakan Doganay, Tayfun Oguzoglu etc.... These guys are not as bad as the 1000 bucks hairmills but still.....I've seen a lot of failed surgeries. They use their medical license and name to build up their marketing while in reality they are all tech-based clinics.... Karadeniz's english is excellent but his personnality is really weird. I remember seeing some bad results from Karadeniz (like very poor growth of the transplanted hairs) a while ago on this forum. Honestly I wouldn't even bother with these clinics.... Anyways dude if you ever see this post I wish you luck and you find peace
  9. He will need a touch up especially on the right side. And his crown needs some work although it is not very bad.
  10. Dr. Tsvetalin Zarev Dr. Felipe Pitella Dr. Pradeep Sethi Eugenix Dr. Umar Sanusi Hattingen (Dr. Muresanu) Hasson & Wong Vancouver
  11. The reality is that hair transplants are total crap if your goal is to rock a very short buzzcut. They will look very thin and you will still look like you're balding... The only way for a balding man scalp to look normal, full and homogenous is to get SMP.
  12. This looks like an agressive case of diffuse thinning although considering the fact that you are over 40 now and it started when you were 25 you didn't lose that much. Getting a hair transplant as a diffuse thinner who is not on medication is a huge risk and really not recommended. I've seen many failed surgeries over the years. Sometimes it can fail because the surgeon tries to implant too many grafts in a a particular area which later result in either permanent destruction of native hairs or zero survival of the implanted hairs. A hair transplant will ruin the back of your head leaving thousands of white dots scars that will look weird once shaven... You may have very poor survival rate of your grafts and hence you may waste your limited donor resources forever. Be careful things can go wrong even with a top surgeon. Diffuse thinners are very delicate. You really need to be on medication for at least 6 months and preferably a year before any surgery. Not only will it thicken the existing miniaturized hairs on the midscalp and I highly recommend you get on Dutasteride 0.5mg daily, oral minoxidil 2.5mg daily and optionnal a topical anti androgen of your choice such as RU58841 or fluridil. Actually oral 5AR inhibitors raise your free testosterone levels.... Some diffuse thinners are hyper responders to medication (in some rare cases) and you could even avoid surgery. Definitely give a try. SURGERY IS ALWAYS LAST RESORT It's a big risk and lottery even with the best surgeons. Now all the surgeons you mentionned are legit. They are all good choices and I'm sure they would all do good work in your case. However, the "one and done" hair transplant is a myth my friend... If you browse through the forum you will see that most patients require at least 2 sometimes even 3-4 surgeries to get to where they wanna be. And remember transplants will NEVER look like your native hairs. It'll always look weak and seethrough and you may still look like you are thinning even after multiples surgeries especially under harsh lighting. I don't wanna sound pessimitic or negative but this is the reality. That's why they ar roften refered to as "illusion of density". It's important to accept several things before you ever decide to move forward and get surgery. 1. Hair transplant will never look as dense as the hair you had before Androgenic Alopecia happened. 2. You will require several procedures. At least 2 in your case. 3. A hair transplant can fail even in the hands of the best surgeon in the world. It's very rare thanks God but the truth is it does happen...It's a lottery no matter if you go to Konior, Zarev or a hairmill such as SmileHair, Nowhairtime Cinik, Serkan, Koray...All reputable doctors and turkish hairmills have bad results. Only difference is that bad results are statistically minimal with good surgeons. You gotta be mentally ready for this. 4. A hair transplant on a diffuse thinner who is not medicated is a big risk. Poor survival risk is increased as well as permanent shockloss. 5. Medication post transplant is highly recommended. Your hairloss will progress on the non transplanted areas and you will require more surgeries down the road if you refuse medication while your donor area at the back of your head is limited... Last but no least: I always recommend doing a small test surgery first in order to evaluate the survival rate of the grafts and then continue if you are happy. Never go all at once since you risk wasting your limited grafts forever. All the best and good luck.
  13. Never seen a lot of beard work specifically from these 2 clinics. I don't remember ever seeing a Pekiner beard transplant result. Pekiner does good work for the most part when it comes to hair transplants. However I heard some issues about him such as aborted surgeries and bad behaviour from his rep on a patient who got a bad result on this forum in 2019. For hlc, I've seen only 2 beard transplants far. One on the youtuber Matt Dominance and another one on their youtube channel. They have really mixed reviews here for hair transplants. I know both these clinics often use beard grafts for scalp but I have to see more results for the opposite type of surgery so to be honest I have no clue. Just keep mind using scalp grafts for your beard may not be the best long term option if you have hairloss to begin with or family history of hairloss...You may need those grafts later for your scalp.
  14. Brett Maverick is crazy. He doesn't even have hairloss at all. Maybe Norwood 1. I understand he is a some kind of model and thus wants to look the best possible but his hairline is fine. He looks like he has a normal head of hair. A hair transplant will uselessly create white dot scarring in his donor area, waste the grafts and reduce donor capacity in case he'll really need a HT further down the road....
  15. Please stay away from all these "clinics". They are all hairmills, some might be worse than others but they are all pretty much russian roulette. I know their "offers" are tempting but you have only one donor area and it's limited. Living with the consequences of a failed or botched hair transplant is incredibly difficult both psychologically and cosmetically. Repair surgeries are extremely expensive and let's be honest they are crap especially when the donor area has been permanently destroyed. Even the reputable doctors have subpar results so don't you even think about hairmills brother. In spanish there is an old sentence saying "lo barato siempre sale mas caro". It means the cheap stuff always ends up being expensive... You might get lucky. Sometimes even hairmills hit homeruns. It's very rare but it does happen sometimes so you may luck out. But you may get destroyed for life too and then there is no going back... If you cannot afford a good surgeon then it's better not to get surgery.
  16. Totally agree. He is hairmill. Definitely not worth 5€ per graft...
  17. Bruh no offense but of course you are losing hair due to DHT. The only reason why you are losing hair in this very typical Male Pattern Baldness/Androgenetic Alopecia pattern is precisely and exactly because your genetic makeup is such that your hair follicles are genetically very sensitive to the little amount of DHT produced in hair follicles and prostatic tissue from Testosterone via 5AR type 2 isoenzyme conversion. Serum DHT levels in the blood are totally irrelevant. What matter is tissue DHT levels within each hair follicle on the scalp and how your androgen receptor is genetically programmed to respond in a certain way to DHT signalling pathways... It's very hard to measure DHT levels on the scalp and I think this would require scalp biopsy. I honestly wouldn't even bother with that... You need to lower by half follicular DHT levels with oral Finasteride/Dutasteride. That will slow down the process of gradual hair miniaturization that eventually leads to permanent and ireversible Male Pattern Baldness. 99% of men especially diffuse thinners think they are losing hair due to dome kind of "telogen effluvium", biotin or iron deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, scarring alopecia etc...It's a very popular misconception bro. In reality all they have is classic Androgenic Alopecia caused by genetic sensitivity of the hair follicles to the evil little DHT. ANDRO GENETIC alopecia Andro = androgens. DHT and T predominantly Genetic = your genes. Look no further. The easiest way to diagnose classic Male Pattern Baldness is to look at someone's hair under microscope. If you have certain hairs that are thinner, weaker, less pigmented than other THEN this is a sign that the typical hair miniaturization caused by DHT is occurring. And then it's time to MANN up !!!
  18. Pinto is better than Lorenzo. The two main issues with Lorenzo is the fact that he uses young technicians with highly questionable training. He changes his techs very often... Also let's be honest his clinic is a hairmill. He does at least 4 patients per day. A serious and ethical doctor would never do that...
  19. A hair transplant will do nothing for you at this stage. It will destroy your native miniaturized hairs on the midscalp and you will have very poor graft survival. Your grafts will be wasted forever. You should immediately get on: Oral Dutasteride 0.5mg daily Oral minoxidil 2.5mg to 5mg daily depending on your bodyweight Optionnal add a topical anti androgen of your choice such as RU58841 or fluridil. Don't wait. Time is off the essence when it comes to fighting permanent Male Pattern Baldness.
  20. Bro I was really worried abour your hairline at the 5 months mark... Obviously we all know ASMED is a hairmill and they have many bad results. Thanks God your hairline seems to have improved tremendously during the last month. 🙏 I am happy for you bro 👍 It's still a bit thin but it's a decent result so far. As for the crown, I saw immediately on the post op pictures there was gonna be an issue with density. I suggest you look into Pinto, Zarev, Sethi, Pitella, Wong if you are chasing some real improvement on the vertex. Erdogan's nurses have no clue on how to recreate good illusion of density on the crown. It's very challenging and you gotta choose a excellent doctor who specializes in that.
  21. Agree 100%. Dr. Lorenzo used to be great but his Medilor clinic has become a hairmill that outsources a lot of the work to young technicians with questionable training and there's a massive turnover among them which is a bad sign... I like his videos though, they are very educationnal but I don't feel confident recommending him anymore and there are certainly MUCH better options in Spain/Portugal.
  22. Wow... I am sincerely sorry to hear that bro... As a hairloss sufferer myself who had a failed transplant myself, I totally understand your agony and frustration... But we're here to help ! ✊ Now like I said, I agree your donor is not in good shape. But to me your result on the recipient area looks very solid. The only "weakness" is the midscalp which (if I understand correctly) was not filled in with grafts yet. So you could go for SMP or look into donor repair specialists. Mwamba does good work.
