  1. With Eugenix you have to be careful which package you choose. There has been some highly questionable donor management and bad temple work on several patients recently.... That said, Eugenix has some worldclass results on higher Norwoods. Bisanga is a great choice too. Never seen a bad result from him in years of researching.
  2. Unless the water was boiling, I don't think you have damaged the grafts. I mean what you described sounds like it lasted a very short amount of time. Couple seconds at most ? As I always say, hair transplants are highly unpredictable and you can never guess anything till you hit the 6 months mark. But I honestly I don't think this will ruin your grafts. It is unlikely in my honest opinion. I remember Dr. Feller mentionning one of his patients in 1995 who got a sunburn and still his transplant grew in fine.
  3. Yes this does look like a failed hair transplant. It seems like a case of poor growth on the recipient area. Seems like the survival rate was very low. I speculate it is probably due to transection (poor extraction skills...) or maybe some other uninow factors. As a hairloss sufferer myself, I am really sorry to hear about your experience and I know how hard it is to deal with this situation. What did the clinic say ? I'd try to get a refund. I don't think you have any scarring alopecia or lichen planopilaris but still getting a scalp biopsy before undergoing a 2nd surgery is recommended in order to eliminate these potential factors. Last but not least: 2000 have already been wasted and getting a 2nd surgery is always more compliacted on scarring tissue. You need to go with the best of the best this time.
  4. You should get asessed by a great hair transplant surgeon and get on Dutasteride 0.5mg daily Oral minoxidil 2.5mg to 5mg depending on your bodyweight. That will help A LOT with both your baldness on top and potential DUPA/retrograde on the sides and back. Good luck
  5. Hello Never heard of this doctor. I wouldn't personally risk it. There some much better doctors in the US and also cheaper and far better options in Spain/Belgium. Stay away from turkish hairmills... Have you checked out Zarev/Bisanga/Freitas/Pinto/Ximena Vila ? Don't rush into surgery. Do a TON of research first. Look for independant reviews. Never trust reviews posted by the clinics themselves since they are cherry picked. Deliberately look for poor results. Check out all forums. Belicapelli, recuperartupelo, alopeziede, hairloss experiences, hairloss conquerors on FB, Reddit Hair Transplants, baldtruthtalk, international hairloss forum, sacekimisonuclari etc etc.... Give medication a try first. At least 6 months. You have lots of miniaturized hairs that might be thickened up. Dutasteride once daily. Oral minoxidil once daily And optionnal good topical anti androgen such as RU58841 or fluridil. Side effects of Finasteride/Dutasteride are way overhyped bro....These theories, all the stupid fear mongering, Propecia help etc...has been debunked. I've personally used Dutasteride at doses as high as 2.5mg daily and never got any sides. Sadly I didn't get any regrowth either because I started way too late.. Time is off the essence when it comes to fighting permanent irreversible hairloss. You are already a Norwood 4 almost Nw 5 and you will need several surgeries... Finasteride/Dutsteride are great for stopping hairloss but they are total crap for hair regrowth. That said, they can (in 1 out 5 cases thicken the existing miniaturized hairs. You need to get on medication NOW to prevent you from becoming a Norwood 6. You don't want your crown baldness to drop down any further. Talk to any renowned hair transplant surgeon and he will explain you that sides effects are generally due to a psychological effect called nocebo. Interesting fact that many of these fear mongerers never mention is that 5AR inhibitors actually RAISE your serum and also your prostate/scalp tissue Testosterone levels.... Most reputable doctors strongly recommend using finasteride at least 6 months to a year before surgery. Without even mentionning that it is highly recommended to stay on finasteride/dutasteride after surgery because hairloss will continue on non-transplanted aread...and then you will not have enough left in the donor to cover everything... You could be diagnosed with DUPA in the donor or have permanent shock loss due of native miniaturized hairs on top if you're not on Finasteride. There a tons of reasons why hair transplant without finasteride is really not recommended. If you are really really afraid then using a very low dose of finasteride like 0.25mg can help since it inhibits enough scalp DHT to slow down hairloss pretty significantly. You could try topical finasteride/dutasteride... But it's very expensive and inconvienient to use. All the best good luck.
  6. Levent Acar Cosmedica and Serkan Aygin are both what we call hairmills on this forum. This means they do 20 patients per day and the doctor only sees you for 5 minutes and draws your hairline. He is not involved at all during surgery. Technicians do all steps of the surgery. Extraction, incisions and implantation. Sometimes if you pay a bit more you may get Acar and Serkan to do only the incisions. They have many many differents teams of technicians doing the surgeries....Generally there are 2-3 teams of techs who are very experienced and the rest can be people recruited on the street, some nurses without any specific training etc...I am not even kidding. These clinics are a huge gamble. Some people are incredibly lucky. Some are not. I saw a youtuber by the name of Dr. Mogrey who got an absolutely phenomenal dense result from Serkan. But I have also seen terribly bad results from Serkan. One was discussed on the youtube channel tenermaspelo and the patient had his donor area permanently destroyed... The Hair Transplant Mentor's undercover videos were shot in Serkan's old clinic....Check them out. So I have seen outstanding work from Serkan and Acar. I've seen average results and I've seen disasters... Overharvested damaged donor areas, cases with zero growth on the recipient area etc... Serkan is very popular on the italian hairloss forum. Just like Koray, this is because he has a financial partnership with BOLA the administrator of the forum. They only cherry pick and publish good results to make people believe Serkan and Koray are great, which in reality isn't the case. That said, I gotta say Serkan has made some tremendous improvements over the last 3-5 years while Koray has deteriorated even more... Cosmedica is often advertised by fake youtubers like Hairliciously who gets paid to portray Cosmedica as an elite clinic... That same guy who takes pictures from Transtimelines of people on literally oral estrogen and bicalutamide and claims the regrowth was achieved with the crappy dermapens he is trying to sell...😂 I would never trust his recommendations... I know some "celebrities" went to Cosmedica but that doesn't mean anything. There was a guy who had his donor area badly overharvested by Cosmedica on this forum. I cannot remember his name... Tenermaspelo has also shown a couple a really bad results from them. I've watched a couple of Acar's interviews. He seems like a nice guy but it's a risky gamble my friend. I'd say 70% chance getting an average turkish result. Some growth in the recipient area with lack of density 15% chance getting an above average result. 15% chance of bad result potentially disaster. At the end of the day, Acar & Serkan are hairmills and it is russian roulette. They are certainly not the worst hairmills....There is MUCH worse of course (Sanantur, Arenamed, Songul Alci, Aisha Hair etc...). These terrible clinics are generally in the 1000€ to 1500€ price range... You may get lucky but you may get destroyed and waste your limited grafts for the rest of your life. A bad hair transplant is extremely expensive difficult to repair. There is no way back once you get it done. If you are over Norwood 4 and get a bad job then you may NEVER be able to achieve the illusion of full scalp coverage again... Failed hair transplants are no joke. Be careful. Don't rush into surgery. Fighting and hopefully recovering hairloss is very long multi-step process that requires an extremely smart long term gameplan.
  7. Sure Have a look at this one 4200 grafts Elithairtransplant dissapointed on the Hair Restoration Network. Check out the following thread on the international hairloss forum "Clinique du docteur Balwi Elithair à fuir ! Méthode à vomir" Also check out Johnny test on Youtube. He got a bad result from them.
  8. Great question. Technically speaking it can be done for sure. Aesthethically speaking, it will look bad... Because body hairs are very thin single grafts that look like vellus baby hairs. They provide very little coverage and density.... Also body hairs have the disadvantage of having a low survival rate. Between 30% and 60%.... I will never forget that one case from the Belicapelli forum of a guy who was a Norwood 7 and who went to Dr. Umar Sanusi in Los Angeles. He literally paid 150 000 USD and got around 30 000 body hair grafts transplanted.... His final result looked like crap....The angles were correct but had absolutely zero density and looked like body hair on scalp... Think about it twice before ever doing it. Pubic hair can be used maybe in some cases like Gatsby's to minimize scarring in the donor or on the scalp if mixed with scalp hairs to get a "pinch" more coverage. But it is certainly not the miracle cure for baldness. Otherwise all the Norwood 7 guys would just transplant all their pubic, chest, legs, arms hairs on the scalp and fix their baldness....Sadly it doesn't work that way...
  9. Were you on an oral 5AR inhibitor between 2013 and now ? Are you currently on oral 5AR inhibitor bro ? You have very agressive Androgenic Alopecia. I would strongly recommend Dutasteride. I see it as the only viable option in your case. Try to get the brand name Avodart. It is very important to be on medication because otherwise your tranplanted hairs will eventually disappear due to DUPA and your native hairs will continue to miniaturize and fall out especially in the crown... Your crown may soon drop into Norwood 5- 6 so be very careful. You will not see any growth till the 3 month mark. For most patients, most of the growth happens between the 3rd month and the 6th month. And then it thickens up and "matures" a bit more till the 8-12 months. It know how hard it is to deal with the post surgery phase. I've been there I know the agony of hairloss sufferer since I am one myself. But patience is key. All the best bro.
  10. Amazing result ! The crown is extremely difficult to cover but this is some very good work. I'd like to see the final result under the exact same lighting at the clinic please. Thanks
  11. Great result on the hairline. Almost perfect. The crown has improved a lot compared to baseline but like you said it still has a weak spot. But as we all know the crown is the black hole so be prepared for a touch-up or a 3rd round. Overall great result. Very solid work. Did Dr. Hasson perform the incisions ? I guess the techs did the extractions and implantation ?
  12. Your hairline is still strong. I wouldn't touch it. The crown is the issue. Fortunately it is not completely bald yet. I think you need 2000 grafts. Maybe more. Probably more because on the crown hairs grow in different directions and they do not overlap each others...It always requires more grafts than the hairline or the midscalp. First thing you need to do is get on medication immediately to prevent further loss. Get on oral Finasteride 1mg /Dutasteride 0.5mg daily. Time is off the essence ESPECIALLY when it comes to crown baldness. Don't wait. Playing catch-up with crown baldness is INCREDIBLY hard and it can cost you tens of thousands of dollars. It can be extremely consuming both emotionnally anf financially. So be careful and proactive please. The crown is a black hole for grafts and once you let it cross the point of no-return you can never achieve full coverage again. Give medication some time. Do not rush into surgery. Do a ton of research before choosing a clinic. Deliberately look for bad results. Never trust the results posted by clinic's consultants since they are cherry picked. Look for independant reviews. Stay away from turkish hairmills of course. Avoid mega sessions. Never go all at once. Do a small test procedure first to see how you respond to it and judge the survival rate....Once the grafts are wasted they are wasted forever... There are great doctors on the forum. Zarev seems the best for the ability to cover crowns. Even better than Eugenix. Pinto, Ximena, Bisanga, Konior etc... You have a limited number of grafts to spend throughout your lifetime. Play it smart. Fighting androgenetic alopecia is a neverending ultramarathon. All the best good luck.
  13. Thank you for the picture bro. Yes definitely some thinning but still at the early stages and managable with a solid anti androgenic stack. It would be wise to get a microscope evalutation or phototricogram every 6 months for 1 or 2 years by a very good HT surgeon or specialized trichologist for example like Oscar Muñoz or Sergio Vaño do in Spain in order to determine whether the miniaturization on the vertex area keeps progressing despite Finasteride. You need to be 100% sure things are stable and hopefully remain that way for the next 15-20 years given your limited donor supply.
  14. Allright. So my next question is how long have you been on finasteride ? Are you using generics ? Cutting Proscar 5mg ? And is that thinning on the crown something that you are 100% sure it wasn't there before and that happened while you were on Finasteride ? Could you please upload a picture of your crown ? I am asking because you mentionned you are unsure how your hairloss situation will be progress during the next couple decades and you wanna be on a very strong protocol that will minimize your hairloss as much as possible since your donor area is has already been partially used up. Finasteride is enough in for majority of men to halt further hairloss but if it is really agressive than it might not be. Maybe using Dutasteride, adding oral minoxidil and a topical anti androgen like Fluridil will help better than Finasteride alone.
  15. I see... How is your crown looking ? Are you on oral finasteride/dutasteride ? Also who performed your 1st FUT surgery ?
  16. Hard to judge your result so far. You're at 6 months therefore there is still some room for thickening and improvement. Like Melvin said, it has certainly gotten better since the 4th month so I'd stay optimistic although I wouldn't expect miracles at this stage. You mentionned you had an issue with growth and density during your 1st HT. Maybe you have some underlying condition such as scarring alopecia or lichen. Worth getting a scalp biopsy done by a very good trichologist. Also repair surgeries are always harder because the surgeon is dealing with scarring tissue. Ultimately, I would still expect SOME degree of improvement over the course of the next few months but be prepared for a 3rd round. Do your research diligently and do not rush things. All the best. Good luck.
  17. Harley Street clinic, Dr. Raggu Reddy from the Private Clinic and Dr. Edward Ball from the Maitland clinic are the UK clinics from whom I've seen decent work so far. Decent/solid. Nothing too spectucular and you could probably find slightly better and cheaper in Spain/Belgium. Bessam Farjo is probably decent too but I remember that one poor growth case from him on Youtube. But any doctor in the world has many subpar cases. Yup definitely give oral minoxidil a try. If you are lucky enough and get a hyper-response you may even avoid surgery.
  18. I'm glad you had your procedure carried out sucessfully. And I wish you the best result possible. 🙏 That said, I never recommend being too optimistic especially when it comes to HT outcomes in general and more specifically repair surgeries. Have you seen Ajamilo's case ? He had a repair surgery with Dr. Mwamba too and the result was highly questionable. That said, I have also seen great work from Mwamba. But my experience has taught me that expecting a "killer result" is setting yourself up for disappointment. Being realistic, mentally very strong and prepared and patient is key when it comes to the post operative phase. Anyways, I wish you all the best bro and I hope your result will be as satistafactory as can be ! 👍 As for grafts being secured and grafts surviving, these 2 different things that do not necessarily correlate. ATP saline solution is not crucial but it is highly recommended and I have seen a study showing it does increase graft survival rate to some extent in most people.
  19. Carrying out FDA clinicial trials is extremely expensive for a company. I don't think GlaxoKleinSmith will ever pursue getting FDA approval of Avodart for Androgenic Alopecia too. Also you have big players in this game, big pharma lobbies, pressure from other big companies... It's very complex. Ultimately most HT surgeons and even some dermatologists prescribe Dutasteride off label for hairloss.
  20. This serms like a case of agressive DUPA. It is also caused by DHT sensitivity except in your case the donor area also have high androgen recptor density and 5AR reductase type 2 isoenzyme expression. I would get assessed in person by a very competent HT surgeon or trichologist to determine whether that's the case. If so, Dutasteride 0.5mg daily and oral minoxidil is your best bet.
  21. Good question bro. I browsed through his thread and like he said himself, the immediate post op are always very deceiving because they give you the impression that you gonna have great density while in reality the blood, scabs, residue from the saline solution make it look much denser than it actually is. Very hard to say what weng wrong. Even the best doctors in the world couldn't really tell... But let's speculate a little bit: I don't think he had any condition such as scarring alopecia or lichen planopilaris... So it could be -Poor planning and poor placement. Not using the optimal harvested hairs to make it look as good as possible. Spacing out the incisions too much etc....There is always an artistry aspect in HT surgery. -Poor survival rate due to either some transection during extraction or simply poor genetic survival capacity of the grafts. Some people are genetically unlucky regardless of the doctor. It can happen sometimes. I don't think his subpar result is due to his hair quality. His hair quality is average. It's not thick but it definitely isn't below average... After all 4000 grafts were used just for the hairline. That's a lot. I really have no idea honestly. Like I say in my posts, HT is always a lottery. You have to accept that before you decide to move forward and get it done.
  22. Any update ? Sorry about your experience bro... Okay so the good news is this is not bad result because there is obvious growth in the recipient area and improvement from baseline. When someone looks at you from the front, you look less receeded than before. But the bad news is this is typical case of what I would call a subpar/mediocre result. Especially for 4000 grafts and 10k $.... Sure your hair is not too thick but hey it's not too thin either... The density should have been way better with that specific number of grafts.... I've seen cases of people with similar hair quality to yours getting much better density with less grafts. I guess this is a cautionnary tale for anyone willing to get HT surgery that the best clinics only show their best results which are exceptionnal per definition. Most of their results will actually look like this.
  23. Dr. Lorenzo does 4 surgeries per day, outsources a lot of his work to young technicians and there is a significant turnover among them. I would take his videos with a grain of salt. I'd say yes it is but only if you are 100% sure that it is actually stabilized. You need to give Finasteride at least a good year and get assessed by a very good doctor with microscope and phototrichogram in order to evaluate whether there is still ongoing miniaturization while on the drug. Some of Lorenzo's patients do lose a bit of ground over the years even on Finasteride. He's got documented cases showing this. So the long term donor area planning must be done accordingly. That is very important. For example if you are already a Norwood 4-5 by the age of 25 then doing 5000 grafts with FUE is a very bad idea...That will deplete your donor area quickly and not leave much in cases you lose ground even on finasteride in your 30s or 40s. If you are Norwood 2-3 then 3000 grafts is reasonnable provided that you are on Finasteride. You know what I mean ? Using beard grafts to minimize donor area depletion is also a good alternative. Starting with FUT is recommended because FUT allows you to better optimize your donor area in the long run but many people refuse the linear scar. At the end of the day, it'll depend on your genetics and agressivness of hairloss. You may need additionnal adjunct treatments or go more agressive with Dutasteride, oral minox and topical AAs later on. Good luck and play it smart. Fighting hairloss for all your life is a neverending ultramarathon and you have only a limited number of cards that you can use.
  24. Bro you're totally missing the point. I know Dr. Harris and his bad result on baldlivesmatter... Just like any other surgeon he's got good and crap results... Problem is people start finasteride way too late because they are afraid by internet fear mongering that is the first thing that they see when you google finasteride lol...It's not just as easy as starting finasteride on time. Otherwise barely anyone would ever need a hair transplant. Come on bruh... Most people lose ground to an extent that is very difficult to recover even by spending tens of thousands of dollars on surgeries. The point is not starting finasteride. It is WHEN you start. The Mann have saved many people from even having to get a hair transplant. Now this is my last warning. Stop derailing this thread. If you wanna discuss that topic then message me in private or start your own thread.
  25. LMFAO... Had you listened to that "dumb ass pseudoscience Youtuber" you wouldn't be here searching to get a hair transplant. 😂 He is certainly 1000 smarter than you. Look at his hair situation and look at yours. But let's not derail Hugo's thread. His result is absolutely phenomenal. 👍🙏
