  1. On transtimelines reddit people often get incredible regrowth from Estradiol 10mg + spironolactone 200mg. This combo is the real deal.
  2. Great question. I also wondered about that many times in the past. There is no general consensus about this particular question. Some people look great even after 3 weeks post op when all scabs have fallen off without the hairs and keep most of their hairs before the shedding and yet end up with a crappy result.... Others start shedding hairs attached to scabs very early like a week post op and get a great result. There is that famous study from Bernstein and Rassman on graft anchoring but just because your kept most of your hairs after day 10 doesn't mean all the grafts have survived. You will get a good idea of survival rate around the 4-5 months mark.
  3. Wow your result is absolutely amazing. Trust me I'd be more happy with such a result. Look at EvansLawrence or Bloodhound. They went to HLC, a much morr expensive and "prestigious" clinic. They paid 3 times more than you yet their result is much worse than yours... You are lucky for getting such an amazing result from Cinik and I am happy for you. We all know Cinik has bad reputation for a good reason. Going to him is always a gamble. But his 2-3 best teams of tech are capable of producing very nice results. Did u get his sister team to work on you ?
  4. Nah it's not that bad don't worry how often have you been microneedling ? When is your transplant scheduled ?
  5. I am totally fine with people who decide to give it a try. šŸ‘ Plenty of litterature showing benefits ? Haven't seen that much to be honest. Check out the Mann's video. I just think it's overhyped. Actually most reputable hair transplants doctors and trichologists agree it has very little efficacy. Like I said it does increase the absportion of topical minoxidil and anti androgens. But dermarolling on its own doesn't do much and doing too much could be counterproductive and harmful.
  6. 3 months for buzzing. At least 6 months before getting any new work done (SMP, repair etc...)
  7. 100% agree. I totally understand your concerns given the situation. At the end of the day, this is exactly what separates "elite" clinics from "good" clinics. We have witnessed several bad cases from both Eugenix and HLC recently. Both these clinics are good but s*** does happen.... Often times they mess up easy cases like this one....Actually I feel like easy cases are often kind of neglected. I think the explanation as to what went wrong is pretty simple. Popularity = temptation of higher volume = bad cases & botched jobs.
  8. He is a diffuse thinner for sure but the direct harsh light from the sun makes it look even worse. When he grows his hair out longer and under normal lighting, it is not that noticeable.
  9. Waw really sorry bro. This looks pretty bad indeed Not too bad (still pretty far from like "hairmill bad"...) But definitely bad for a clinic such as Eugenix and considering the little amount of grafts used... There certainly shouldn't be nearly as much seethroughness with that length of hair. We all know that FUE is not scarless and the white dots will be visible when the hair is cut very short however this looks to me like a pretty bad extraction. May I ask you two questions please Who performed these extractions ? Dr. Arika or the techs ? If so, which particular techs ? Did they at least offer to fix it for free ? I think the minimum they should do is offer free SMP or some kind of free repair using beard grafts. I do believe Eugenix is an ethical clinic so let's hope for the best šŸ™
  10. Konior is considered the GOAT on this forum. In addition to that, your hairloss is very mild... Looks like you have a bit of recession and still a perfectly virgin and strong crown and midscalp. If you are on Finasteride, then I am 99% positive this is going to be a great outcome.
  11. Did you get a bad result from Lorenzo ? So far, I have never seen a bad result from Lorenzo after all these years of researching forums. That being said, I agree with you and I must say I don't like the fact that he uses techs and pushes out 4 surgeries a day...Hasson and Wong do the same thing and I am not a big fan of that... But I have yet to see a bad result from Lorenzo. He's got by far the largest number of documented cases on his youtube channel. More than any other hair transplant doctor in the world. Also he shows results under harsh lighting and combs through wet hair on the crown which nobody else (except Couto) even dares to do. Again, one could argue you they are cherry picked...Sure. But still he has way more than Couto, Bisanga or even De Freitas/Pinto etc... Lorenzo and Erdogan are not even comparable. Lorenzo is legit even though money-minded and I agree that some aspects of his practice are questionable (punch size, lack of involvement during surgery...). Erdogan is basically an expensive hairmill. He is the exact same as Cosmedica, Elithair, Hair of Istanbul or Cinik. All he does is draw your hairline...Erdogan is certainly a talented surgeon but his clinic is a hairmill where he doesn't take part in surgeries and 10-12 different teams of nurses perform the surgeries... As a consequence, there are dozens of really bad results from ASMED...Take a look at the hairloss international forum. I've seen many poor results. At 2.5 euros per graft the donor gamble is not worth it. You can get the same with Cinik with 3 times less money. Or go with Ximena and Pinto for the same price who are both much safer options and have a history of far better and more consistent results. I'd still rank Lorenzo far above Erdogan no matter what. It's day and night.
  12. From my experience, you should start seeing new growth at around 3 months. It is unlikely that it is going to happen before. PRP has shown very little efficacy when it comes to thickening miniaturiared hairs but I do belive it can help a speed up a little the growth of the transplanted hairs. If the PRP your doctor is recommending is not too expensive then yeah why not give a try šŸ‘
  13. I wouldn't use the dermaroller on the recipient area until around the 1 year mark bro. I am not a big believer in dermarolling. I know some youtubers like Hairliciously and Matt Dominance advertise them but Kevin Mann made an excellent video on this very topic. Check it out. Dermarolling has very limited efficacy. At best it may slightly improve the absportion of topicals. Actually I even remember Dr. Ximena Villa in an interview with Mesiasss4, Dr. Russell Knudsen from the Hairloss Show channel as well as Dr. John Diep mentionning that dermarolling may cause unecessary shedding and even permanent micro-scar tissue and hence is counterproductive because it creates an environnement where it is harder for grafts to survive in case of transplants. Again different doctors have different opinions but seems like most hair transplant surgeons are not huge fans of it.
  14. I can definitely see improvement compared to baseline. However there are 2 issues. 1. 4200 is probably not sufficient to cover the whole area even with optimal survival rate. You are Norwood 4 almost 5 severe diffuse thinner and you will likely need more grafts and 2 surgeries in total. Mister Rolandas had very similar hairloss to yours and he achieved illusion of full scalp coverage with around 6500 grafts. 2. Although your transplanted hairs are certainly growing, you may have not gotten optimal survival rate. I'd say it's more than 50% but probably not 90%. Somewhere around 70%. Also at 5 months there is still some room for further improvement.
  15. I would second what Kashnw7hope said. Bicer is the safest choice in Turkey. She does nice and solid work. Keser, hlc, pekiner are all safe too but they are not worth the extra money... Demirsoy and Gur & Turan are decent options too. That's pretty much it.
  16. There was also a guy who wrote a very long and detailed thread about his experience with Dr. Yaman. Even though he got a decent result on the recipient area, his temples were botched and he had to do a laser removal in order to fix it... The title is "Resul Yaman most detailed review ever" or something like that. Check it out.
  17. Yeah that's right. He's definitely balding. Not only is his hairline receding also -and more importantly he is diffusely thinning.
  18. Allright fair enough. Fuecapilar is probably decent. Bicer too. Although I have never seen some crazy transformations from them on Norwood 6-7. But if you are looking just to get a decent hairline and some baseline coverage on the front then yeah why not, they are probably okay. However please avoid Resul Yaman. Stay away from this doctor If you do your research diligently, you will quickly notice that he has some bad results on this forum...Not just poor results. I am talking about overharvested and permanently damaged donor areas and some botched jobs too. In addition to that, he often outsources the surgeries to his techs & nurses so going to him is a gamble. The risks associated with getting a surgery in a hairmill are lifelong ireversible consequences. It's a lot more than just unatural looking results on the transplanted area... Hairmills often destroy the donor area and make it look moth eaten and patchy.. Hairs never grow back once they are extracted. The growth is often poor or non-existing on the transplanted area.... So not only are you wasting grafts forever but you're also running the risk of becoming unaturally bald at the back and sides of your head.... Take at look at Doron Harati's story. He almost died in a hairmill. Resul Yaman is certainly better and safer than Arenamed but still I've many people who regretted going to him so better avoid it. All the best good luck. Edit: Melvin sent me a warning and I agree with him, I went a bit too harsch on Dr. Yaman. Just to clarify things: he is not nearly as bad as Arenamed or other hairmills. He does have some good results on this forum. However, he has some bad ones too with donor damage and I think there are much better choices in the same price range. That's it. Have a nice day.
  19. I have only 3 options for 1) Dr. Zarev. 10 0000 grafts Ɨ 4ā‚¬ = 40 000ā‚¬ to achieve a decent and solid head of hair. 2 sessions required 2) SMP. 3) Laser removal the remove the shadow.
  20. Looks normal for the 1.5 month mark. You are basically right in the ugly duckling phase. Your implanted hairs are currently going through the telogen phase. The decider is generally between month 3 and month 6 so for the moment nothing to worry about šŸ‘
  21. This 100% true. There are many limitations stylewise with transplants. At the end of the day, hair transplants will never be like native hair. If you have a receding hairline with a strong frontal forelock like most people then the forelock will have somewhere between 60 to 80 healthy non miniaturized follicular units growing on each cm2 while the implanted sides of the hairline will generally have 50. As a result, if you buzz your head your new hairline will look less dense than the forelock and hence stand out. Also the hairs harvested from the back and sides are never exactly the same in terms of color, texture, thickness etc.... Without even metionning the white dot scarring and thinned-out donor area, all the differences of density on your head etc etc... If you wanna have a very short buzzcut then SMP is the only way to go.... Now when you grow your hair out longer there will always be an element of seethroughness and missing density when you take a closer look. Same story for the crown...If you have a slick bald spot in the crown then no matter how many hairs you implant you'll never be able to match the native hair density around it. A hair transplant is basically just a foundation for making a combover look fuller and allowing you to use hair fibers and sprays. Unless you have really mild hairloss (less than Norwood 3) and get a sucessful dense packing on yout hairline. Or a strong hairline with like Norwood 4 diffuse thinning type of pattern with still around 50% of your native hairs and someone like Couto adds another 30-40 grafts per cm2 then it might look dense enough and close to what you used to have prior to Androgenic Alopecia. But again, not everyone is a candidate for it and dense packing (over 60 FU per cm2) is not always the best option (risk of low survival rate etc...)
  22. The main issue with Minoxidil is that it does not tackle the underlying rootcause of genetic hairloss in men which is hair follicles sensitivity to DHT. Minoxidil acts by hyperpolarizing the K+ potassium channel in the dermal papilla cells. It prolongs the anagen phase by stimulating the keratinocytes proliferation that DHT is trying to shut down via different complex mechanisms. Ultimately it just buys you time...But you cannot expect it to fully hold on to your hair for the rest of your life. No way. Finasteride blocks 5AR type 2 and 3, type 2 being mostly expressed in the follicles and prostate. It lowers scalp DHT by 40-60% according to different studies which is enough for over 90% of men to stop further hairloss according to 3 scientifical studies. If you want maximum scalp DHT supression then Dutasteride 2.5mg is the only way get over 90% supression. You can add some topical anti androgens on top of it. Fluridil, RU58841, CB0301 and soon pirylutamide etc... Even with Dutasteride and topical AA there still gonna be some residual androgens on the scalp. Ultimately the only thing that is going to stop Androgenic Alopecia dead in its tracks for the rest of your life is surgical castration. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
  23. Standard dose of Dutasteride is 0.5mg daily. That's already very solid for scalp DHT supression. If you want to play it extra safe then 2.5mg will supress it over 90%. I am not a big fan of topical minoxidil in general. I prefer the oral version. But you need to discuss that with a good doctor in india who specializes in Hairloss and Hair Transplants. Try to reach out to Eugenix or Dr. Bhatti. I think topical version of minoxidil is crap...Even when mixed with tretinoin and dermarolling to increase sulfotransferase enzyme bla bla bla etc... Also I am not a big fan of applying topical minoxidil after a hair transplant. I know many people do it but from what I've seen I don't think it will make any difference to the final outcome of the transplant. Minoxidil sulfate works by hyperpolarizing the K+ potassium channel in the dermal papilla cells and somehow prolongs the life of the cells that DHT is trying to destroy via various mechanisms. If you are a responder, it may artificially trick your hairs into an anagen phase. But again for most people it doesn't do anything either because you either lack the sulfotransferase and it just doesn't absorb well enough when you have long hair and thus just cause unecessary shedding when you try apply it which can speed up hair miniaturization if you are not on a 5AR inhibitor in the first place. That' why I prefer the oral. But the oral has a higher side effect profile. You can continue to use topical if you want. It's totally up to you. šŸ‘ For the moment, I'd just stay on Dutasteride 0.5mg and increase the dosage to 2.5mg if you feel your hairloss is still progessing (although very unlikely on 0.5mg). After 6 months once most of your transplant growth is completed, I'd add oral minoxidil and a topical anti androgen like Fluridil or RU58841. There is not much else you can do drugs wise. There are some other extreme hardcore drugs used by transgender people that can give significant regrowth such as oral estradiol, spironolactone but these are definitely not viable options at all... Ultimately if you are not happy with the final outcome, you could go for a third procedure (but be very careful since your donor already looks depleted because of the extraction pattern + DUPA) and maybe use some beard grafts and combine with SMP. For the moment please don't do anything. Very important to stick with Dutasteride and you can continue minox if you want. You should wait till the 6 months mark and see what your hair looks like.
  24. This a classic case a long term hair transplant failure because of DUPA and retrograde in the donor area. Did you doctor advise you to use Finasteride/Dutasteride back in the day after your 1st surgery ? If not, then it is a big mistake from him. If I were you, I wouldn't wait anymore. You have very agressive Androgenic Alopecia with the presence of DUPA in the donor area and a family history indivative of future severe baldness. Dutasteride 0.5mg daily (avodart) is your best bet. Add some oral minoxidil 2.5mg/5mg daily and topical anti androgens if you want extra protection. Make sure you discuss all these options with your doctor.
