  1. That's true... Derek and Kevin are incredibly knowledgable when it comes to pharmacology but they lack knowledge on transplants. That said, I know Kevin is a visitor of the forum. Not sure about Derek though. MPMD caught his hairloss very early so he likely won't need a hair transplant.
  2. LMFAO Well I have to agree with you on that one ! Harris is crap. Not a fan of him at all. His results are average at best...His involvement in surgeries is minimal and outsources a lot to nurses...Also he is a fan of the ARTAS robot which in my opinion does a lot more harm than good... So yeah I can't disagree with you... The Mann said it himself. He was very lucky to get a decent result and he didn't research at all back then...
  3. Hey any update bruh ? Did you go back to Saifi for a touch-up or did you ask for a refund ?
  4. Asli Tarcan is an absolute shame to the hairloss community. I hope Kevin Mann will expose and ruin all those hairmills one day (aslitarcans, asmed, aisha hair etc...) The same way he exposed the blΓΌdflow scammers from Hairguard and Rob English's galea aponeurotica theories....
  5. Hope it wasn't Saifi bro... Well I looked at your case. I totally understand your frustration and I am sorry to hear about your experience. Yeah it's possible that they lied to you and put around 2500 instead of 3100 as they initially sold you. Sadly little scams are not uncommon in the hair transplant industry. The problem is that it's really hard to tell whether your suboptimal result is due to either A. Poor survival B. or poor planning and placement (not enough dense) I suggest you buzz your head with a 3mm guard and proceed to counting again. That will give us a better idea of the survival rate. If we rule out the survival, then poor placement could be the problem. Also your donor area wasn't harvested homogenously in a proper way. They clearly made a very poor job. I would try to negotiate a refund but don't go back to the same clinic. If they botched you the first time then chances are they'll botch you a second time so better not risk it. Your grafts are limited. Otherwise look into another better surgeon for a small touch-up. Pinto and Freitas are the best for hairline repairs. The positive news is that you really don't have much hairloss. A 2nd pass is all you need for a very good head of hair. And of course you absolutely need to be on oral medication like finasteride/dutasteride. The last thing you want is your baldness to start attacking and depleting the midscalp and crown. Good luck, stay strong and all the best. ✊
  6. Yeah HLC is good for the most part. They are experienced and results are natural. I used to think very highly of them but after seeing Andrei's and bloodhound's case and some issues here and there with Mesiasss4 I think you can probably find much better in Spain/Portugal/Belgium in the same price range. Keser is good too. He is really involved and meticulous. The only issue I see with Keser is that he cherry picks his patients and only takes on small Norwoods. Keser hardly ever takes on someone beyond Norwood 3. But other than that, I agree he does solid work and his results do look natural. Now at 3.5€ I believe that Freitas is a superior than Keser. Actually even Ximena & Ferreira are in my opinion superior choices than Keser.
  7. Check out Kevin Mann. He is literally the Jesus Christ of hairloss
  8. Great question bro ! Actually everyone always refers to the famous 2006 study from Bernstein & Rassman which concluded that hair grafts should be permanent after 9 days no matter if you pull on with or without a scab attached to it. Because the dermal papilla that produces the hair follicle should be fully embedded into the epidermis by this time. So IF your surgery has been performed correctly and IF your follicles made it then even scalp waxing should not dislodge anything (theoretically). However everyone is different. Our bodies heal and react differently. You never know what is going to be the survival rate of your surgery. Grafts could have been transected or crushed to begin with or simply they do not survive the shock of surgery. Or they could have gotten stuck into the scabbing or cut off from blood supply for too long... The fact that you see hairs with scabs falling out is not a reliable indicator of anything. Also some people shed as early as 6-7 days (hair shafts + scabs attached to them) and do get a great result whereas others are able to remove the scabs between the 10th and 14th day without removing the hairs yet they get poor growth later on. You never know. It's a lottery. But what we know for sure is that the 6-month mark NEVER lies. If it looks bad at 6 months, it may improve marginally but don't expect a miracle coming out of nowhere. So to summarize, the fact that you see a scab coming off with hairs doesn't mean much. Your surgeon will always tell you "don't worry it's normal" but the reality is only time can tell.
  9. I wouldn't pick neither US nor lowcost Turkish clinics. US surgeons are way too expensive while their results are average. On the other hand, Turkey is a gamble. Could be a fantastic result but could be a disaster too. I prefer Spain/Portugal/Belgium Freitas, Pinto, Ferreira , Couto, Ximena, Bisanga, Mwamba, Feriduni, Zarev, Pitella, Hattingen for FUT, HDC Cyprus, BHR Malaga In Turkey Bicer, Fuecapilar, Pekiner and maybe Demirsoy. That's it. But do your research. All clinics (even the best) has subpar results so hair transplant is always a lottery no matter who you go to.
  10. Couto is definitely in the discussion for GOAT.
  11. Hahahahhahahahahah Karadeniz is a funny one. πŸ˜‚ Sometimes he seems very nice. Sometimes he comes across as being crazy and arogant. I've even heard reports of weird behaviour. Like some dude reported he was yelling and repeating "YES I CAN DO EVERYTHING" when candidly asked by his patient if he could lower the hairline. πŸ˜‚ I gotta say his english is excellent. Better than any other turkish surgeons or nurses techs etc I've ever spoken to I remember J used to speak very highly of him... Sadly Karadeniz has chosen quantity over quality. He's become a hairmill these days... I believe he does only the design and "opening of the channels" at best. For the rest, I guess "nurses take over" πŸ˜‚ So basically classic turkish scheme. Unfortuantely I've seen several bad results from his clinic. One was from username masd or musd. Something like that. It was a really bad one and very poor planning....
  12. A little reference to Ali taking over when Mwamba gets tired...
  13. Yeah.... Konior's pricing is exagerated. If I was a millionaire then yeah why not I'd definitely give him a shot because I do believe Konior's work is outstanding. Sadly I can't afford it. I' have to stick to "Fuecapilar and Bicer" πŸ˜‚πŸ€™ However, there are other extremely expensive surgeons which i would never go to even if I was a billionaire ! For instance Dr. Craig Ziering... I mean look what he did to Lebron...πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ Dude charges 20k to 30k $ per surgery but his results are average at best
  14. Perfect job congratulations. πŸ™ Minimal hairloss + you caught it very early. This one was truly a "homerun" from Ferreira. Awesome. So basically full head of hair. WHAT YOU DOING ON THIS FORUM ??? Get out of here ! And leave us miserable baldies πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  15. Konior is amongst the best in the world. No doubt about that. His work is really solid, extremely meticulous and precise. His strip scars are as thin as can be. The coverage he's able to achieve with very few grafts is amazing. Konior will give you more coverage with 700 grafts then Erdogan's nurses with megassession of 5000 grafts πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Unfortunately his prices are absolutely ridiculous....I mean really it's crazy. But if you are lucky enough to be able to afford him then go for it ! I read your thread and also your old one with Unger and waw you've been through a lot....Crazy stuff bruh.... Wish you the best. Hope it finally works out for you this time INSH'ALLAH ☝️ Btw were on oral Finasteride/Dutasteride between 2012 and now ? Because it appears that your baldness on the crown has progressed significantly between your Unger surgery and now.
  16. Yeah maying filling in the outside corners on each side with 200-300 graft each side. That would make sense if it really bothers you. I'd rather do that than trynna graft the midscalp or crown where you still have lots of hairs...I think medication will probably improve that enough to the point that it doesn't bother you anymore. Yes sure ! It is possible to get SMP into the FUE scars at the back in order to camouflage the scars. That's also a good option. Just keep in mind any SMP will require touch-ups. They do tend to fade away. Sometimes even faster than you'd expect. Btw you caught your hairloss early like REALLY early. Congratulations. You did a great job. Just curiously how exactly did you notice it ? Did someone point it out to you ? Or did you know if it was inevitably gonna happen to you at some point based on your family history ?
  17. You can take them at the same time. Put them next to your bed. Just pop them with a glass of water when you get up. The schedule really does not make any difference in any way as far as the efficacy goes. Give them a good 6 months.
  18. Have you seen Transtimelines on reddit too ? Transgender guys often REGROW hair with oral estrogen 10mg & spironolactone 200mg. As crazy as it may sound, the results they achieve are better than a good 75% of the hair transplants I see on this forum.
  19. Yeah I would second what Tony said here. Bicer is good. I like her. But I always say she is not necessarily the best option for high Norwoods. For advanced Norwoods and thin donor hair, I would look into Hattingen FUT. They are excellent. Now the problem with getting FUT after FUE is that the yield is going to be reduced. That's why it would could have been woser to start with FUT. Otherwise Zarev, Sethi, Pitella are you best bets for advanced baldness in FUE.
  20. I think SMP is the way to go for you bro ! Now beware SMP tattoos are a minefield industry too so you gotta do your research diligently before choosing a clinic of course. The last thing you want is a botched SMP cuz it can be a pain in the butt to remove... But if you go to the right clinic you can get a good result and it will allow you to achieve your goal which is, from my understanding a homogenous juvenile and dense-looking buzzcut. There are several main issues with hair transplants in your case specifically (but also generally speaking) A. Hair transplants are not meant for wearing very short buzzcuts. They are just a way to camouflage baldness...They are simply a foundation for adding Toppik and Hair Fibers... Transplants will always look crap especially under harsh lighting and if you had extensive baldness to begin with. It does sound a bit pessimistic but it is the reality. That's why they are often refered to as "the illusion of density". Generally a hair transplant is 50% of your native hair density. Most reputable doctors will graft the hairline with around 50 grafts per cm2. That is sufficient to make it look good if you let grow longer but if you buzz your head then you might be disapointed because you'll be able to tell the difference of density between transplanted hairs that look weaker and native hairs that look denser. If are a only Norwood 2 and get a 3000 grafts a dense packed hairline at 60+ grafts per cm2 then you may get away with it. But anything beyond Nw 3 or diffuse thinning forget about it... It'll never look good. And dense packing is always risky because of the risk of poor survival. If you want to have a decent looking and homogenous buzzcut then SMP is the way to go. A hair transplant cannot match the density of native hairs. Also the risk of shockloss is high especially when the native area still has a lot of hairs. Last but not least, an FUE is by no means a scarless procedure. If botched then it may look overharvested and patchy. Almost like if you have alopecia areata. But even when done with a worldclass doctor it is important to understand that anything below 1cm length is highly likely to expose the white-dot scars. It can look pretty weird sometimes. I suggest you have a look at patients who got several hair transplants for example. When they shave their head again before their 2nd procedure , you can really spot the FUE scarring in the donor and the density issue. It is a popular misconception that you can just shave your head after a failed FUE without any consequences. With all that being said, I didn't mean to be negative or pessimistic but I just wanted to provide some insight on the reality of hair transplants. In my opinion and based on your goal, you would be better suited for SMP.
  21. Incredible result bro. I can't believe Maras was able to achieve this after these criminals from Arenamed literrally destroyed 5000 grafts !!! You must have above average donor to begin with. Congratulations to HDC. I'm sure you know Escar ? He was also botched in his youth and he's got a great channel by the name of tenermaspelo. He also works for HDC. Btw Doron how long exactly did you use Finasteride ? And did you continue to miniaturiaze and lose hair while you were on it ?
