  1. Some of it could very well be shock loss but a lot of us (me included) get a harsh reality of things once shaved down and in the ugly duckling. Just keep on pushing through, it will look much better in the months to come
  2. Fibrin? What in the world is that? The yellow fluid is serous fluid and perfectly normal to see following a wound. I’m sure couto would have recognized this as an issue in the immediate post op or mentioned it to OP as a cause for lower yield. seems like doctors are finding any reason to blame poor yield…nowadays it’s “fibrin” 😂
  3. No, each follicle has its unique growth phase. A follicular grouping is just a number of follicles sitting tightly near each other but they are individual units.
  4. I would seriously reconsider. You’ll be 1 of 4 patients on the day of surgery. PM me for details regarding my nightmare experience with him.
  5. The doctor that owns it seems like a quack. They heavily advertise on Reddit which makes it seem scammy too. I think @Melvin- Moderatorgot his first transplant from that same doc and was not satisfied with his results. personally I’d try to stick to more proven versions of fin and min
  6. I think another question to ask is which steps of the procedure does the doctor perform. Could you kindly answer which steps of an fue procedure Dr. Rahal performs?
  7. I don’t think I’ve seen any impressive norwood 7 results as a true norwood 7 has a donor with very low margins meaning not many grafts can be taken. There are some impressive norwood 6 cases I’ve seen from doctors such as Zarev however.
  8. It looks like there has been some further improvement with some more to likely come. Has couto shared his thoughts with you? What’s the plan for the future?
  9. Very clean, as expected. Konior achieves some of the best looking donors- yours is looking quite impressive. Yes, it’s very reassuring to have the staff look out after your head every day. Everyone there is so caring. How many days are you staying?
  10. It really depends. If you’re transplanting into bare areas, it will show as there will be redness and other signs of surgery. If you transplant into areas with existing hair, it might not show that much after a few weeks as the existing hairs can help camouflage the redness.
  11. Unfortunately, it does look like you were overharvested. I’m guessing around 5k grafts were removed, and not homogeneously. Some of it could be shock loss so the only thing you can do is wait. Hopefully you get a good result in the recipient. But I would recommend not going back to this clinic as clearly the doctor doesn’t not have donor management skills.
  12. I think in order, the preferred donor sources go: head, beard, and chest. Beard hair has a longer anagen phase but not as long as head hair. Chest has a shorter anagen phase than both
  13. Personally, I wouldn’t go back to yaman. You have afro textured hair which is difficult in of itself. He runs a clinic which is heavily tech-based and I don’t agree with that philosophy at all. If there is even a single doubt about a surgeon, follow your gut and go somewhere more reputable. Consult with someone like bisanga who is known to produce good results on afro hair.
  14. Absolutely. My first two surgeries were with Lorenzo and he made my donor look like it went through a cheese grater. Absolute nightmare. After only 3700 grafts it looked like there was 5000 or more grafts removed. I went and saw konior for my last surgery and couldn’t believe how much better the extractions looked. Doctors skill and tools def have a huge effect. This is why you need to stay away from clinics that hand you over to techs
  15. Ok but one thing to think about is the fact that we only see a fraction of cases posted on forums. So imagine how many similar cases aren’t heard as patients don’t want to share their story publicly. Eugenix is the only clinic that advises (even in videos) that patients must wear their hair longer in the donor after surgery. This just doesn’t add up because one of the main purposes of getting fue is to have the ability to wear shorter hairstyles. Something is obviously amiss with their technique to advise this. there’s a difference between lack of growth due to a patient’s factor X variable vs technical and planning mistakes from a clinic
  16. You’re on a pretty strong regimen as is. If 2.5mg min isn’t enough, perhaps try 5. Otherwise, Nizoral a couple times a week wouldn’t hurt.
  17. It saddens me when I see stuff like this. He’s only 31 and you can hear the pain in his words. let this be a lesson for all: stay away from hair mills and doctors performing multiple surgeries per day
  18. Personally, I think there’s too many threads like this that showcase the bad work coming from this clinic. This is (imo) a result of bad planning and execution, most likely due to the clinic scaling and doing too many patients at once. The donor is over harvested after a small amount of grafts, the temple point hairs are the totally wrong angle, and the actual grafts in the temple points are too thick and I see many doubles and possibly TRIPLES which really blows my mind. Unacceptable
  19. I’ve seen some bad results from umar. I wouldn’t risk going with him. I personally don’t like his hairline designs and many of his results lack density and naturalness. Why don’t you look into someone like konior or Nadimi? They are in the states as well
  20. I think that happens in Turkish mills where they use the “painless anesthesia” where they use a spring loaded device that delivers anesthesia. I doubt those are grafts rather needle sites
  21. I’ve seen cases where a majority of beard grafts are used and it does not match at all. I won’t link the user or thread because I don’t want to put an individual on blast but if you do your own search I’m sure you will find it.
