  1. Pic taken right now in my office. Some angles are suboptimal but in any case i like how transplanted hairs match my natives.
  2. If you stopped only for 6 weeks, your loss CAN'T be related to minoxidil's interruption. I see that many times, when the HT doesn't go very well, the clinics say that is because the medicines. By the other way, you followed pekiner's prescptions so he should have advised you about the risk. In my case, at HLC, we talked a lot about post surgery treatment and we decided to use oral minoxidil.
  3. According to general protocolos, you should stop minoxidil 5 days before op and you should stop TOPICAL minoxidil 2-4 weeks after the op. hace you stopped for a longer period? anyway, hair loss from minoxidil interruption appears completely different.
  4. My first impression is that you lost natives. I hardly believe this happened because you stopped minoxidil. Minoxidil is not an on-off switch for hairs. An hair follicle has several cycles and when you stop minoxidil you'll see thinner hairs while you have halls among your tick transplanted hairs. From my personal experience, a patient should never stop medications after HT because, if something goes wrong, the doctor will say that it happened because the patient stopped medication. From what I can see, your hair loss is related to HT (high transection rate or a very strong shock loss) but it is hard to say. Did you try to talk directly with the doctor considering that his assistant is not a doctor/dermatologist?
  5. Will it cause miniaturization of beard grafts? answer: THIS IS A POSSIBILITY.
  6. i specifically asked what do ti inprove my grafts health and he explained me that fina is supposed to be counterproductive for beard transplant.
  7. I specifically asked Pekiner about fina and he said that people having BHT should not take fina because it weaken that FUs.
  8. I have a few questions about my story. I asked his assistant to reply in public in the past but he didn't. When he aborted the op, he took some tricoscope images of my scalp to show me that my FU were miniaturized. Now, if a tricoscope image of my scalp is enough to check the donor zone, why didn't he take the images before the op? He made all the extractions in the same area: is that the way a doctor checks the donor zone?
  9. I did something similar. people usually don't understand how a small change can make a big aesthetic difference! Congratulations!
  10. Do you mean cortisone? I've stopped ay topical for 2 months...because I got really bored! During quarantine, I spent my days putting lotions, derma rolling and mewing! At June I decided to enjoy the summer!
  11. Thanks gillenator, your reapplies are always very helpful!
  12. according to @asterix0, in 2020 we have so many tools to analyse the donor area that a doc should never interrupt a surgery. Not talking about my specific case but in general, there are several reasons why a doctor aborts an operation: a) he is unable to analyze the donor area before surgery b) he think that he doesn't have the skill to manage short/small FU c) he doesn't have enough time (according to many doctors I talked, small FUs requires a lot more time to be extracted and transplanted properly) d) he uses something happens during the op that scares the doc so he says that the donor area is not "good enough".
  13. Are you kidding? you are right: if the doctor doesn't fell comfortable doing your surgery, thank him and ask for another opinion. When my father got his lung surgery, the first doctor said he didn't have enough skills to perform a such difficult surgery and gave us the name of a super skilled doctor that accepted the challenge. But the doctor shouldn't start the op in the first place. What if the doctor started the operation, removed half of his left lung and then he aborted the operation?
  14. I wrote the same thing several times. About mu specific situation: If pekiner stated the operation thinking that I was a good candidate and then he aborted the transplant becuase he realized that I wasn’t, he clearly made a wrong diagnosis in the pre op phase. if I’m a good candidate (as the story showed I’m), that means he made a wrong diagnosis during the operation. in any case, the way he acted could be psychological devastating for me. in 2020, a doctor has a lot of tools to see if the fu are miniaturized so it is unacceptable that he aborts the op.
  15. you deleted your previous comment... did you regret for the compliments? lol
  16. Every doc asks for a deposit. The problem is Pekiner tried to hold the deposit after HE decided to abort the surgery because he gave me a wrong diagnosis in first place.
  17. The first thing I look for is a good diagnosis. In my case, pekiner gave me a wrong response. As @LonelyGraft said, can you image how stressing and mentally damaging a wrong diagnosis can be? i do not know why he said I’m not a good candidate (I’ve my personal idea about it) but i think the results i got speak for themselves.
  18. In my case, he said he could transplanted the grafts but it was a waste of time, because my FU were dying. So, I said not to insert any graft. In first place, just after he aborted HT, he tried to charge me about 1000 euros. He said I should have paid the "caution" and about 2,5 euro/189 extracted grafts. I said that it wasn't fair that he charged me the price for "caution" because I was there...so he charged me the priced the extracted graft. I called his assistant the next day and I asked for totally refund. I waited 2 days, talked with the doctor, explained why I thought that he wasn't fair to charge me for wasted grafts and he gave me my money back.
  19. If i see the hairline design and the actual pics, i suppose that hairs didn’t grow in the “corner”, where i have white skin. what do you think?
  20. The skin surrounding my hairline is white! Is it ever happened to someone else? it looks like scar tissue, so that means that the doctor trasplanted some fu in white areas that didn’t grow.
  21. I had the same experience with pekiner. i know it can be really frustrating and stressing. i think bf made a great work. Hope for the best!
