  1. this Ht is a masterpiece. It is amazing that he used a such small amount of FU to cover a such big area. How long did you wait before washing your hair? Can you use an hairdryer?
  2. I am planning a second HT to lower my HL and I would go for a semi-shaved. My only concern is post op care. Specifically, how will I dry my hair?
  3. Thanks Gatsby. In Italy it should be available since Jen 2024. I never had problem with loniten, just a minor eyes swelling in 2020 for the first days. My Heart rate (in my normal range + 5-10, but it still was in normal range) and all the other parameters were perfectly fine. I know it is hard to say what works and what doesn't when we use more than one treatment but in my experience the OM is the most powerful stuff for hair regrowth.
  4. Hi, I had my first HT at HLC in Jen 2020. I'm happy with the end result but...I could be happier! I was very conservative when I got my first HT and now I would like to lower my HL/temples. Was thinking something between 1000/1500 UF. Can you help me to choose the best docs in the world. _Not a good doctors but real artists of the hairline. My first choice is Couto, but the waiting list is too long. My second choice is Ferreira, same thing. I saw some nice works from Custodio. what do you think about him? PS Cyclically, I have very strong telone effluvium, so my hair don't look always the same: they look great at their best (usually during summer) and average at their worse (usually autumn). pics attached
  5. I suppose you are right. Did you talk with him in a private conversation or do you have a video on YouTube?
  6. As an old HLC patient looking for a second HT, I can say I won't go there and I won't consider turkey in any case. My HT was not bad but at same time it could be better. The post op care was very poor and, just like you, I waited months to receive my pics.
  7. very similar to what happened to me maybe this research can be useful https://www.actasdermo.org/es-translated-article-morning-periorbital-edema-articulo-S0001731023002417
  8. I am having topical data injections one per month and I can say that the stuff makes a huge difference. I got it with PRP. At home I use topical minoxidil and oral fina but when I add DU injections I see a big difference.
  9. I've always been a big fan of oral minoxidil (OM). I was one the the first using it in 2020. So I am not trying to be alarming nor trying to blame OM but just trying to keep people aware of sides. I used LONITEN from 2020 to late 2022. During the first month, I had a minor periorbital edema (ie. puffy eyes). It had a complete and spontaneous resolution after one month I continued to use the drug. Since nov 2022, loniten is not available in Italy so I stopped. After the stop stop, last week I bought it a galenic product (2.5 mg minoxidil). After 3 days I used it, I had a diffuse edema and a very evident periorbital edema (I attach pre and post pics). After I quitted oral minoxidil, everything turned well in a couple of days. The doc can't say if it a simple swelling related to oral minoxidil (in literature, there similar cases https://www.actasdermo.org/es-translated-article-morning-periorbital-edema-articulo-S0001731023002417 ) or if it is an alergic reaction to some eccipient that was used in the pill.
  10. Who does want to comment a thread when he doesn't get interest in it?
  11. Hey Melvin, nice to meet you again. I started to use DUTA injections 1/month+PRP and at august my hair were ...GREAT! Now....but my density sucks. I do not know if it a simple Telogen effluvium (It happens to me in September every couple of years) or it is because I stopped to use topical minoxidil and stopped microneedeling. What about your growth?
  12. From my experience (search my pics if interested), use both. When I started to use oral only, I started to lose some density.
  13. Interesting research. Shorter needles (0.6mm) can be more effective than longer ones (1.2mm), at least when the treatment is used frequently (2/week). It should be interesting to compare the same length of needles using less frequent applications. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32897622/
  14. I try to translate in laymen's terms: your phenotype is the result of your DNA. Epigenetic is what activates/deactivates genes (DNA). So, to stop hair loss, you need to find a way (at epigenetic level) to activate hair growth genes and deactivate Jair loss genes.
  15. there are several researches showing that 6ml is more effective and not harmful.
  16. me in past. 3,75 mg oral + 6 ml/5% topical. I got bored to use topical so I switched to 5 mg oral. I had goos results from topical but I can assure you that oral send topical to bed.
  17. I see but when you wash and dry your head, do you have any trouble with the long hair on the front? another question: did Bisogna give you any advice for weight training?
  18. I really like the way he designed your temples. You didn't shave completely your head. Is it hard to handle post op care with long hairs?
  19. DELETED: sorry, when I commented, I didn't see you already got your HT.
