  1. I can't see double and triples in all the pics I saw but I agree in part with you about the "naturally". I can't see a good transition zone/sentinelle hairs. the hairline starts thick and dense. In any case, I trust @Melvin- Admin and I am sure he checked on the other forums to see "real life"results.
  2. The nflamatory component of PRP and its effects on hair growth (ie: does it stimulate hair growth or does it increase hair loss?) appears to be a very interesting topic. The question is similar for muscle growth and protein synthesis in general. inflammation are crucial for protein syntesis but are catabolic as well. So, should we avoid inflammation? As some researches pointed out, age should play a crucial. For older people, that have high inflammation naturally, reducing inflammation increases protein synthesis while the opposite is true for younger people, that have low inflammations. I'm not aware of researches comparing the effects of PRP on young and old people but I would not be surprised if they are totally different.
  3. Microneedeling: depth and frequency please do you use something on the scalp after MN?
  4. I becaome bald often in September and I have a CIA head the next April. Telogen effluvium sucks. Learn to live with it.
  5. I can't answer to this question. To say yes or no, I needed a twin brother, making the exact some HT and not taking anything. What I can I say, I had good results. PS: from my personal experience, do not be scared of early shedding. The earlier you shed, the earlier is the regrowth. I had an early shedding but after 4-5 months, I was full regrowth.
  6. My case was similar. I have HT only on the front. 1 week after HT, I continued to take oral minoxidil and oral finasteride. 14 days after HT, I added use topical minoxidil in nor recipient areas (middle and crown) after 1 month, I added topical monoxidil all over my scalp.
  7. I tried some math. Let say that surface is 38/40 cm2, so I need 2000 if I go for 50 FU/cm2. Is a such high density needed? And more important: what is the surviving rate at 50 FU? At Hlc the sold me 50 FU/cm but I do not have more than 30 at the moment.
  8. I'm sorry for your experience. I am not denying that fina and duta have sides. What I am saying is that some of that are psychological more than biological.
  9. this is why I told you that the quote is quite deceptive. The authors extrapolate some conclusions on humans that are not in adhesion with the researches that are quote.
  10. @just_me @12345 You are "quoting" a statement from a research on rats. The authors report the conclusion of other studies. So, read the references to have a clear picture. In fact, the way the quotes are quite deceptive. The authors claim that duta stays up to 6 months quoting a study(n. 16) where the subject received from 0.01 to 40 mg of dutasteride (0.01, 0.1, 1, 2.5, 5, 10, 20 and 40mg). Considering that "at daily doses above 1 mg day−1the steady state concentrations are almost entirely dependent on the linear clearance mechanism", you can guess that using 40mg daily (that is 8x what you use for hair loss or prostate), you can find some traces after 196 days (by the record, if you see the datas, all the subject were at baseline after 50/60, except one that showed traced after 180 days). by the other way, he quotes another study (18) that states: "Lastly, slight decreases in sexual function were noted during treatment and these changes were largely reversed during recovery. The clinical relevance of these small reductions in measurements of sexual function is unclear. It is notable that the overall satisfaction score did not change during treatment, implying that the slight changes in sex drive, erectile and ejaculatory function experienced by subjects did not adversely affect global sexual function or sexual satisfaction".
  11. I am not saying that nobody has sides from fina. I'm saying that most of them are not real in the greater number of cases. The most paradigmatic side is the "post finasteride syndrome" (PSF). As you know, some people say that they lost their erectile function with fina and it never recovered, even when they stopped the drug. I am very close to the university of Trieste, Italy. The genetic department of the university is conducting a research on PFS, to see if it is real. The chief prof strongly believed that PSF is a real thing* so, if he had a prejudice, it was in the sense that is NOT a nocebo effect. but, at the moment, the general consensus of the research group is that it doesn't exist. *he thought that people reporting permanent impotence had some sort of gene activation that destroyed their erectile function forever. This is was the research was conducted by the genetic department.
  12. So True. I think that most of the "sides" are noceto effect. I don't know if I am "genetically lucky" or if it is my mind, but I see that my libido and my erections increase the first weeks after duta injections.
  13. researches show that grafts need just 48 to be full implanted in the recipient area. Do not forget, in reality, it is NOT an hair transpalant. It is a skin transplant. Don't worry.
  14. Thanks for your reply. The peak are very hard for the surgeon. I think it is not only a matter of multi grafts. the real problems are the angles and the directions of the hair. To add hairs at the peak, you need to go perpendicular to the floor and with an angle almost =0°. I just saw your IG page and I have a question...maybe it is a stupid question so I apologize in advance. https://www.instagram.com/p/Ckk41o4K-u5/ If this guy used only 3400 grafts to cover a such bald area....how is it possible that I need more than half of what he used just to lower HL?
  15. yes, the post. is HLC ANKARA 2011 FU You will see how little HLC did with 2000 grafts...
  16. I am just scared to go on temporal peaks, because the 90% of results are quite poor! For the Hl (as I designed it) do you think that 100/1500 can be enough?
  17. I'm trying to have my HT with Custodio. I like his work when he designs a more rounded hairline.
  18. @Dr. Espinosa Custodio. you used more grafts than u usually use for this level of alopecia. This is because you went among natives? This hairline is more "rounded" than the hairline you usually design. Is this a choice of yours or a patient's decision?
  19. @Gatsby @Melvin- Admin how many FU do you think I do need to lower my HL? It should be 1 cm. This time I will pray the doc not to go among pre-existing hairs. From what I see, it is a waste of grafts because it doesn't make any big difference in terms of aestethic and the risk to damage pre-existing hair is very high.
  20. I would say 4000/4500 a lot depends from the surgeon. Many of them love to go into natives so they use a lot of grafts. For example, my clinic used 2000 grafts just to lower 0,5/0,7 cm my hairline.
  21. Hi doc, I would love to be a patient of yours. need your artistic taste to improve my hairline.
