  1. Looking great already and only at month 5! This is why I'm in talks with Bisanga for my second transplant. He's so good!
  2. I'm taking Maxogen-X. But it looks to be out of stock. https://www.minoxidilmax.com/maxogen-x-topical-finasteride-8-minoxidil-retinoic-acid They have a new topical Dutateride product. I might try that if they can compound it with minoxidil.
  3. I switched to topical fin/min and all my sides went away. Are you taking any other meds? Lots of drugs can also cause issues, like those that treat depression, stress and anxiety.
  4. I think it's way too early to talk about repair work. Everything looks fine to me and on track for a successful transplant. I think it's a mistake to judge your results by Shapiro's design thesis. Surely you agreed to the hairline before proceeding. Truth is Maras does good work. Reserve your judgement until 10 months, at least.
  5. Excellent decision. Can't get much better than this.
  6. Price is a real factor, though. It's hard to ignore the appeal of a €2500 "unlimited graft, all inclusive" package.
  7. Sadly, the US has a lot of expensive clinics in fancy cities like Beverly Hills. High price definitely is not an indicator of high quality. On the flip side, the very best clinic are not cheap. Deep pockets only for Konior and Hasson/Wong.
  8. Generally speaking, sure. But at 6 months it's way too early to call. We're so quick to acknowledge when someone grows early at 3 months. But not when someone grows late.
  9. HLC is €2.5/graft. De Freitas is €3.5/graft. I think Cuoto and Lorenzo charge €5/graft. Nader is cheaper, but I don't know exact prices. Your budget is kinda low. At that point, I would consider Dr. Bicer.
  10. Dr. Ferreira does perform manual punch, as well as motorized extraction. Not sure about stick and place implantation, though. I see why the OP is frustrated. I would also expect more "results" at this point. But really, it is only 6 months. Being a couple months behind the average growth cycle is nothing to be worried about. Truth is, there's nothing to do but wait. I would hold off on judgement until month 9. At which point, consult with Ferreira to discuss next steps.
  11. There is a limit to how low you can place the hairline. Generally, the lowest point is just above your forehead lines. Move your eyebrows up and down, your hairline must be above where your forehead moves. Otherwise, your hair will move up and down with your eyebrows. And understand that the lower your hairline, the more grafts you need. It's a big deal to lower it 1cm, especially with dense packing at 50 grafts/cm2. Hairline design is very important.
  12. Cinik vs Pekiner? There's no comparison there, even if Cinik is offering it for free. Go to Pekiner. Pay for it. Improve the hairline and density. You won't need more than 1,000 grafts, probably.
  13. Month 5 Update My best month so far. Lots of new growth and noticeable density improvement. I still have some pimples (ingrown hairs) coming through, as expected. There are still some thinner, lagging areas, visible in harsh light. But I'm actually able to use hair product (thickening paste) now and that's exciting, too.
  14. Most of the transplant was performed by Dr. Cengiz and Dr. Elif, both days. I think they both did extractions and implantations. I don't remember that well.
  15. It all looks as it should. What are your concerns?
  16. Bicer all day long. And yes, Pekiner is 2.25 Euro/graft, so maybe also out of your budget.
  17. Right on track. The next 4-6 weeks are not much better. I dropped my fin prescription and since I was already using Rogaine foam, I decided to switch to topical fin/min combo.
  18. Two days? I bet they were looong days! I think I left the clinic at 7 pm both days! It looks great so far!! I'm happy for you!
  19. Wow, how cool! It's a vey well written book. I should read it again. BTC was $15k when I had my procedure in November. It's over $57k right now. I'm glad I didn't use it to pay for my transplant! haha
  20. BTC transaction fees are cheap. Last month I transferred almost $70k for $4 in fees. It takes about an hour to get 3 confirmations, which is much faster than it took to wire $1,000 to HLC for my deposit, whish was over 24 hours and it cost me $25. I'll politely disagree with the idea that it's a crap coin, considering its chart and the money I've made from it and from some top alts. If you're worried about your keys, find a custodial service. And BTC isn't designed to be a currency to buy coffee with. It's a store of value, which is why it's called digital gold. I recommend reading The Bitcoin Standard. It's a great way to understand what "money" is and why Bitcoin will coexist with fiat and in many cases replace it.
  21. Month 4 Update I didn't do a 3 month update because there wasn't much difference. But it's starting to take shape at 4 months (technically 17 weeks). Just got a haircut. I didn't shed all my hair so what remained started growing. I can feel stubbles on my scalp, but that's been going on for a while now. I've also switched to topical fin/min solution (Minoxidil Max). Not sure how well it's working but the mild side effects from oral fin have subsided, so that's good. I'm excited about the new growth to come. The next 2 months should be exciting! It's not super clear in the photo, but I have a bit of a slow-to-grow patch on my right side in the mid-scalp area. There was native hair there before, so I'm thinking it's just some shock-loss and it'll recover over the next couple months.
  22. Haha! No, I said it was overrated. Big time. I'm in Texas, I can get brilliant steaks anywhere. Of course, I bought the $100 gold-leaf-covered steak. So it was more flashy than it was delicious. It was good, but not $100 good. That said, I'm glad I went and bought a commemorative hoodie. But if I ever go back, I'll buy the burger.
