  1. Yeah, I'm at 8 weeks and I still feel stubble when touching my scalp. Some of my transplanted hairs have grown straight away, but most have shed, seem dormant or have started tp grow but too small to see. Next month I should see some action.
  2. I'd ask the doctor for a steroid prescription, to reduce swelling. At least try some good anti-inflammatory or cortisone cream.
  3. You never see the needles. But mine hurt pretty bad. It only lasts a few seconds. You'll be sleeping a few minutes later, so no biggie.
  4. Found this on Facebook. Is this Toppik or shoe polish?
  5. Hairline is looking good! Nothing to worry about at this point, for sure!
  6. Sometimes I do. Mostly, it's facial hair that needs it. On my head, it's my sideburns that need it. I'm 49 and most of my hair looks fine. That said, coloring DOES make a difference for the better.
  7. Around day 10 I started massaging with more force in the shower to get scabs to fall out. After a shower, I would manually, gently pull some out while they were softened. By day 14 all scabs were gone.
  8. Keser may not use microscopes but he's known for excellent hairlines. He's a former HLC doctor (as is Pekiner) so he has a solid pedigree. He does not do large cases, 700 grafts per day max. I would have been a 4-day procedure! Yikes! He doesn't speak English but he has translators... and honestly once the procedure begins, there's not much talking He was my FIRST choice and I booked an appointment with him in March, but he cancelled on my because of family issues. I was unable to reschedule due to COVID. Before writing off Keser, do your research on some other forums. His hairlines were/are my favorite. That said, all the clinics you're considering are excellent. They are doctor-led procedures and have excellent track records. Of the names you listed, I would go with Bisanga.
  9. I'd be more surprised if 7 months were not enough time to go out in public. It's not finished growing, but any thin areas could be handled with some Dermmatc or Toppik.
  10. Chase Sapphire Preferred gives you 60,000 points after you spend $4k. That's pretty good.
  11. Looking at the clinic's site... "We provide a lifetime guarantee certificate after the operations. The statistical success rate of each and every operation is 98%." And they offer something called "Soft FUE". What's that?
  12. The hairline looks nice and dense. Closing your temples look good, too. Looks like they implanted in between your native hairs. Do you know who your doctors were?
  13. Take a look at this video, 4:39 - 4:55 For some reason I thought incisions were made with more care than this. At least in the crown area, shouldn't there be more spiral directions? My procedure was done with stick and place technique, so that's different. But this looks crazy fast and kinda "anywhere is fine" approach.
  14. Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else... you shouldn't lower your hairline. That said, you do what you want to do. Be aware that today's decisions may limit decisions when you're in your 40s. Your donor looks amazing, but that stuff changes. My real recommendation would be to lower your hairline only HALF of what you want. Maybe 1cm or so. That leaves your donor with more for the future and will give you a change that you will appreciate. Be more than just smart... be smart for the future.
  15. The guy sells dermarollers and hair supplements. Of course he's going to push for non-HT options. That's what he's selling.
  16. I'll also recommend Eugenix in India. They have fantastic examples of procedures on higher Norwood patients. You'll need around 6,000 grafts, and at that amount Eugenix prices are best in class.
  17. This is going to be a great transplant! Dr. Ferriera's work is exceptionally clean. Keep us up to date with monthly photos.
  18. Maker's Mark is one of the most recognizable brands, can't go wrong with that. If you want to spend extra money, Woodford Reserve is a well known top-shelf option.
  19. I just think it's a cash centric culture. I offered to wire the whole amount before I flew out, but they didn't want that much money before the procedure. I did ask if I could wire the money to them when I got there, they were ok with that idea. You could ask the clinic for that option. My surgery was over 2 days (and I stayed an extra 6 days in Turkey) so I had time for the bank to wire and funds clear. But I just took cash and paid the balance on credit card. Also, the Lira was down almost 10% against the dollar when I was there over the previous 2 weeks. They were very happy to take my USD!
  20. Keser (also former HLC doctor) has a limit of 700 grafts/day or so. He was my very first choice before going to HLC and it was going to be a 4-day procedure.
  21. When I was young my father came into my room told me that if I masturbated too much that I would go blind. To which I replied, Dad I'm over here.
  22. I really, REALLY like Bisanga's work. If I ever elect to have a second transplant, he's definitely on my short list.
