  1. Congrats! The hairline looks super dense. HLC's work is very recognizable. Which doctors worked on you?
  2. Wow! It looks great for 3 months! Following...
  3. It doesn't leave my hair greasy. Of course, I apply it at night before going to bed and shower in the morning, so it's a total non-issue.
  4. Month 6 Update Ok, 6 months will be in 3 days. Hair still growing. The improvement over the last month is less dramatic, but I can see the lagging areas catching up. I'm pretty happy! If it were to stop improving today, I'd still be happy. But who doesn't want more hair?! Still taking topical fin/min combo about 4-5 times per week. And biotin. Got a haircut but I'm growing out the front. Want to try something new. No fibers or anything like that, but I have a very small bit of hair product in to give it some shape. These pictures are in very bright light, about 2 feet from my window. And if I stand back away from the harsh light from the window, the density looks great.
  5. Yup. Konior is the "money is no object" option. World class, no doubt. Personally, I'd rather go to Bisanga or someone like that to get 2000 grafts. Then next year, go back to Bisanga to refine the hairline with another 200-500 grafts at a *much* lower cost!
  6. I'm on this... about 4-5 days/week. Started taking it a month after my transplant. https://www.minoxidilmax.com/maxogen-x-topical-finasteride-8-minoxidil-retinoic-acid So far so good, I guess. I'm just under the 6 month mark of my transplant and my growth is pretty good. Can't claim this product has anything to do with the HT success, tho. Worth mentioning, they now have a topical dutasteride solution. https://www.minoxidilmax.com/product/topical-dutasteride
  7. That's what this community is for... support. We're not sharks.
  8. He's at the 9.5 month mark in this video. He might have more growth but probably not much. The hairline is too straight for my taste and I would want more density. It looks really thin when wet. But he says he loves his transplant. And that's what matters. Good on him!
  9. @Adam12088 So far I don't see anything to worry about. The scabs will be gone soon. It's certainly too early to make judgements, negative or positive. Do you have photos of the hairline design, with the drawing on your head? And do you have the photo immediately after the procedure, before the scabs? Those will help show the before/after story. Wishing you the best!
  10. I am excited to see your photos from the procedure. Good luck!
  11. Look, 3 days in a row you've talked really badly about this clinic. Using words like "butcher", "fraud", and "dangerous"... all without evidence. If you have real photos, share them. Or tell those numerous people you've spoken with to do so. Otherwise, you're just spreading negative rumors.
  12. The best quotation is determined in person. Photos, and even video, cannot replace an in-person consultation. I wouldn't stress too much about the estimates. The final number will depend on desired density and extent of crown coverage. 2000 - 3000 looks to be a safe range. Limited budget could influence the final graft count, of course. Both doctors can increase/decrease the count to your satisfaction. But this is best done in person. Turkey might be difficult to travel to with recent lockdowns, look into that. You might want to expand your search. My advice is to review patient cases, before/after photos, and choose the one that you feel most confident with.
  13. When the hair grows longer, it will *appear* more dense than it did at day 10. Longer hair creates shadows and hides the scalp. Especially the multiple grafts. They don't look dense at day 10... but at month 10 they will!
  14. I'd say it took 3 months for the redness to go away. At that time, I had some growth so it was being covered up, too. At first I was shy about my transplant. But one day I was real open about it. The amount of interest from other people blew me away. A million questions. No judgement. It's just a suggestion, but think about being real honest about it. I mean, the whole point of getting hair is so that people will see it, right? You might be surprised how much support you'll get.
  15. I know some people have had grafts removed from the hairline in repair cases. But it is not common. Of course, there will be scarring. You have light skin so maybe it will be minor, even though it looks like a lot of grafts. And you seem to be looking for a perfect hairline, you don't want to add permanent scars.
  16. That makes perfect sense. It's interesting, I continue to see results (especially on Facebook), promoting sapphire blades or DHI implanters with single hairs in the hairline, yet still low density and pluggy looking. It proves that there's more to a successful procedure than just tool selection. There are so many things to consider with the hairline. At only 8 months, this patient should be thrilled! I'm glad to learn so much from talented physicians like yourself. I love espresso coffee. In Italy, it is said there are "3 M's" to making good espresso. 1. Miscela - Translates to the blend. Which is the blend coffee beans. Freshness, quality, bean origins, etc. 2. Macchina - Translates to machine. The coffee grinder, espresso machine and other equipment are important. 3. Mano - Translates to hand. The skill of the barista is the difference between good and great. 4. Some say the fourth rule is Manutenzione, translates to maintenance, of equipment and continued skill development This could be used in hair transplants. 1. Hair - Quality, quantity and stability of donor hair 2. Tools - Microscopes, extraction and implantation tools, etc. 3. Talent - Skill of the physician and technicians, hairline design, donor area management, long term plan, etc. 4. Maintenance - Finasteride and minoxidil, vitamins and nutrition, etc. Pretty neat!
  17. Very natural result. I would never think this was a transplant. Just curious, why two different size blades? I thought the incision size had to be the same as the extraction size, no?
  18. Well, maybe @Adam12088 will create a new thread to document his journey. The only way to judge a clinic's quality is with photos. If he will post monthly updates like many of us do, I'm sure the results will speak for themselves.
  19. Looking through Dr. Pinto's work, it's very good! I think he's friends with Dr. Ferriera, both in Porto, Portugal.
  20. Let the ugly duckling phase begin! We know this phase all too well. There's not much you can do to hide it. You could try some fibers, but I don't think you have enough native hair there. I basically wore a hat everyday for the first 4 months. Yes, the shedding is brutal. This is the hardest part of the process. You won't stop looking at it... you'll have thoughts of regret... you'll worry endlessly that it won't grow. BUT IT WILL! Trust the process and suck it up for the next 2 months. I gotta say, Vories did a brilliant job. Super clean work! This is a homerun in the making!
  21. My advice is to let the process play out. Do you best to grow what was implanted. After 9 or 10 months, if finances allow for a second procedure, contact Eugenix for a touch-up. They should be able to improve the hairline with proper density and angles. Try to stay positive and trust the process. The first 3 months will be tough. It is tough for all of us! Stay in touch and we'll all help you along the way!
  22. Out of curiosity, I had to count the grafts. I had to assume some grafts because of the blood clots so it's not perfect. And I only counted one side of the head. This will give you a better idea of how many grafts you received. Each color of dots is 100. There are a total of 400 dots. The right side seems to have more grafts, so I'll say you got somewhere between 850-900 grafts.
  23. Thanks to @DrTBarghouthi and @Dr. Suhail Khokhar for advice. It keeps this board healthy! 👍
