  1. I'll be honest, I hate ab etching in general. I've seen many cases and 99% of them look really obvious and unnatural, and most simply aren't lean enough to pull it off, nothing looks worse than a guy with love handles and saggy chest but visible abs lol but your work is fantastic and you were the type of candidate if would work on othersyde. Congrats on the procedure and result! and good info.
  2. If I read correctly in the previous thread, there was mention that Dr Feriduni would conduct this repair surgery entirely on his own, no tech involvement? That and travel expenses covered is a pretty substantial attempt to do a repair but if you've lost faith in your doctor then you've lost faith, and you shouldn't feel forced to go back to him if you're no longer confident in his ability to get a result. The question is do you feel anybody else can get you the result? or are you wanting to opt out of surgery altogether due to your apprehensions. I don't think there is any question that the result was subpar and the follow up equally sub par. It does seem that there was donor damage as well so your viability for future procedures is going to be a question. Have you consulted elsewhere just to see what other doctors have thought about what went wrong or about your viability going forward and repairing the donor damage?
  3. congrats spyk, the results look fantastic, what a journey but well worth it. I'm contemplating my own third transplant at the moment, but a 3rd in 3 years, I may just wanna enjoy having some hair for a minute before shaving my head again.
  4. nobody wants to but it is just the reality of hair transplants. Hair loss progresses, you may find you want to increase density in a 2nd or touch up an area further in a 2nd and so on but multiple procedures over a lifetime are the norm.
  5. lmao this is such a joke. 2 guys come on the forum calling the rest of us shills and back each other up. Phil backs David in this thread pushing the same agenda and David and the other 1 post guy are the only ones who know the great work of Phils clinic. On top of it Phils calling out a Dr for not having hair, is downright disrespectful and has no bearing on his skill as a dr. Can we get an ip check, these guys are one in the same.
  6. Doctors aim for a combination of the best aesthetic solution, most practical solution given your donor, and client wishes. Sometimes if what the client wants looks ridiculous a doctor may step in but if a more pointed hairline suits your face and it is what you want, most docs would be on board. Here is an example of a procedure done recently that has a more angled hairline than is traditionally seen http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/188954-4800-fut-grafts-dr-hasson.html#post2521494 so it is done but not everybody has the face for that, you generally take cues from your natural hairline pre loss and your facial features, ie, if your eyebrows are straight across your hairline tends to go straighter across and follow in line, if your eye brows have a sharp decline at the center then the hairline comes down in the center to mirror it.. so you just want a natural flow to your hairline and most doctors are good at gauging that but you are free to input along the way. Talk to your doc and work out the best game plan for your hair.
  7. Its usually just advised to put a warm wet compresses on it a few times a day and they'll eventually just pass. If you notice more than a few in a given area then it might be advisable to get it checked out but at a single pimple stage compresses will be enough.
  8. definitely get to another doctor and get the refund. I don't know that you have to go fut as while it's not a small procedure it's not that you're a nw 5+ either but you are going to be dipping into your donor extensively with fue so you need to get this right this time, right with either procedure but especially with fue with less margin for error. If you are going to opt for fue, one of the top Euro specialists is my advice as well, Erdogan, Lorenzo, if you're the patient sort DeFreitas...if you do opt for fut then Konior or Hasson/Wong are top of the food chain. You need a sure thing and these guys are as close to your sure things as the market has.
  9. I second what JLDD said, if you want to be a candidate for a transplant down the road then meds now to strengthen your hair and slow your hair loss would be a needed first step, so get on fin. The smp plan is a good one and if you can pull it off it's a no brainer.
  10. He's quite popular on the german forums, I would hop over there to read the patient reports if you're wanting to know more. I'm not sure if we're allowed to link it from here but it's called alopezie so you can google it and find it, you'll need google translate unless you're fluent in German but you should find what you're after there
  11. No personal experience either but I too am a big fan of his shared work here. Met a patient of his and the work was natural and very well done. I think his price point scares off potential patients, if he was in the same range as other elite docs I think he'd be one of the more popular docs on this forum but to be the man in NY has some expenses that he's gotta work into his bottom line.
  12. If cost is an issue have you considered the option of traveling? Belgium and Spain both have some of the finest fue docs in the world and will be at a price point that is far more favorable than the UK. It might be a little more than you'd pay with Diaz but you'd end up with known commodity vs one you're hoping will work out and still save you thousands. The flights are short and cheap and hotels usually included in the surgery price so it could be a good compromise.
  13. I think you need to show a little more respect, you come in to use the site and it's members and then shit talk both. Yup, I'm going to take some offense to that. If you had friends with shocking results tell them to post up, the more of the docs that don't deserve to be here that we can weed out the better, shit work needs to be exposed. There is no magic circle nonsense... there are shit doctors on the approved list, there are amazing docs on the approved list, there are shit docs not approved, there are amazing docs not approved. The list is a resource, a starting point for people to begin their research. It is by no means the definitive guide to hair transplant surgeons. Almost to a man on this site, you'll find members who recommend surgeons not approved here but there is no bias in saying a doc like Dr Bhatti, since Sheras in here I'll use him an example, is a good doctor, his approval isn't spurring that comment, he's done thousands of hair transplants, he's got consistent quality results, he's got patient experience reports by the truck load, he's earned his stripes, his being approved is the last reason I would say he's a good doctor. Dr Konior is one of the best surgeons in the world at both procedures, I can't say that because he's approved, it sets off your conspiracy radar? You also can bet to a man no member here has said every approved doctor is elite and are all at the same level... As I said earlier I went to a non approved doc, Dr Lorenzo, imo the best fue doc in the game with Couto, another non approved doc and I recommend Dr Keser as a top 5 fue surgeon almost daily, not approved, DeFreitas top 5 regularly not approved and you'll find many members praising docs not here all over the forum. If we don't know a doctor and there is no track record on a doctor we may say as I did tread carefully, if you can't find info don't gamble, look into some docs where you can find feedback. If a doc does great work, the word gets out but it may take time, take for example Dr Nader from Mexico, when he first started out some including myself were skeptical we had a couple patients pushing this doc, I remember one asking if he should get his own forum in here lol so it seemed shady but the results continued to roll in... time showed he was legit, and that's all we try to do is vet any doctor. We want to know about new and talented docs but the vetting process isn't immediate for most of us definitely not me, if I see a doc whose name I haven't heard I will take note and watch for more info, but im not comfortable recommending a doc with one positive patient feedback over one I know is good and has 100+ patient experience logs. We do tend to go back to what we know but that isn't out of bias it's cause we don't want to be the one saying go chance it and seeing some guy with a terrible procedure on our advice. You said "you've seen so many people on this forum just put down doctors who are not part of "the magic circle" even if their work is really good" show me. Provide some proof of members saying a non forum doctor who does great work isn't good? ...if you're going to make that claim you better back it up.
  14. I haven't seen a lot of Cooley fue but the rest of the list are all top notch fue docs. I do think highly of Cooley for fut, seen a lot of his fut cases but i'd love to see more of his fue to see if it matches the same high standard his fut does.
  15. Don't come here and try to make us sound like we're shilling for any doctors. Any doctor that is on this forum has gone thru an approval process and after approval there is a fee to remain on that list but you'll find many of us, myself included have criticized approved docs and think the list needs to be pruned and only recommend certain ones that we think highly of. I had one of my own procedures with a doc who isn't approved here but has a long track record of consistent quality results. There is no financial incentive for any of us to push any doc, other than reps who have to openly state that on their signatures.. The motive for the majority of us is to not see anybody go thru a bad procedure and all that results from that. Some of us have experienced that trauma others talked to and know members who have so we're trying to stop anybody else from experiencing that. You've been here for a minute and make this kind of post, totally disrespectful. I told him to tread carefully that was it, if he doesn't find proper feedback don't take chances, and suggested some other options to look at if he can't find feedback. If you're going to trust a clinics post op pics, you're naive, real patient feedback is vital, any clinic can put up a couple good pics and hide their butchered works.
  16. great result, if only you guys could've saved him from himself by removing grafts so he couldn't keep the mullet going but us Canadians gotta have some locks flowin out the back of a hockey helmet lol...but my compliments on the transplant, very nice work.
  17. Never heard of him, but that doesn't mean he may not be good...that said, there are known commodities who are for sure good. This isn't the surgery to be taking chances. Have you looked into Dr Ball, or the Farjo clinic? both have shown consistent quality results. Unless you can find good patient reports on this doctor I would consider expanding your search.
  18. If you're a lurker you know the advice that is coming. 1. Don't skimp on a transplant, you get what you pay for. I would love to tell you that you can get a transplant for that cheap and it's going to be excellent, if that were the case we'd all be doing it, none of us wants to throw away money but we've seen what usually happens when people try to go bargain basement and it isn't pretty. There are options are that are reasonable( Bhatti, Erdogan, Nader), you don't have to go to the 10 dollar/euro per graft guy to get excellent work but you're not going to get away from spending some decent money, that is just the reality. 2. There are 2 clinics in Turkey that are consistently excellent, Erdogan and Keser, every one else is a toss up. You could end up with a solid transplant or a complete mess, you've got limited donors and you said yourself you have a poor donor, do you want to gamble, it is your hair on the line? 3. Get on meds, finasteride. Odds are you won't face any sides but if you do, then you know, get off but it only benefits you to be on them. The best course of action isn't keep transplanting, it's keep as many native hairs as you can. 4. Do you know where your progression pattern is headed, if you don't consult with a good doc and find out, find out how many donors you have, find out what percentage of your hair is a minaturized state. What is the progression level within your family, father, uncles etc Without this info you don't know if you're a good candidate for a transplant, you may find out that a transplant is just going to make matters worse, you may find that you don't have enough donors to keep up with hair loss that is coming, so you want to make any possible decisions with all the information available
  19. wow 9k grafts and another 1k+ in reserve. Dr Lorenzo told me I have another 10k grafts left in my donor too but despite being told that I wasn't sure if that was possible but turns out it may just be. Looking forward to following this progression pma. Keep us updated!
  20. just because they aren't posted online does not mean there are not lots of examples. Some patients just don't like their pics online. I know when I consulted with Dr Hasson he was able to show me tons of pictures of guys with similar hair characteristics to myself so get into the office and consult with both and go from there.
  21. Both are top notch surgeons and Asian hair isn't typically difficult to work, it's not kinky or curly, usually pretty straight so any of these docs would be able to handle it. Comes down to which ones work you prefer, and which doctor you feel more comfortable with on a personal level. I personally lean towards H&W strictly because I've seen more fue work out of their clinic recently. Have you consulted with either/both?
  22. You're in great hands benny, I had my first op with Dr B and couldn't be happier and I'm confident you'll be saying the same a year from now. Have a good surgery!
