  1. the internet and worriers are a bad combination. Minoxidil is a shit drug, I've had 2 top docs tell me they advise their patients against using it. I've never seen anybody make significant strides and halt loss with minox for any relevant amount of time. That crown will continue to open up and the shampoos won't make any difference. If you're dead set on avoiding fin then you've little option but to continue waiting for it to get worse until it is far enough along in loss to get a transplant. That is the reality. You can head down the research chem route and spend a bunch of money there but I've talked to lots of those guys and they all end up asking for advice on which transplant doc to go see. So start saving up for a transplant is my advice or embrace shaving your head.
  2. Alex can you post your before and after result with Dr Dogonay in this thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/188605-considering-dr-doganay-recommendation-now-hes-made-corrections-4.html#post2519213 Bill wants to see it, and this may help you get some resolution with the doc if he does indeed want to get reinstated here.
  3. I'm happy to see the result coming around fortune. Your hair is looking better and better. Your side channels do look stronger as well but just a year in I could see them needing further time, as the crown is usually around 18 months to full maturation, side channels on a 4th op must be a similar time frame. Definite improvement on the channels still tho. Scar isn't noticeable and happy to hear Dr Shapiros looking after you so well. Thank you for the update
  4. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/182699-dr-hakan-doganay-unhappy-result-so-far-7.html another patient being dodged.
  5. congrats on undergoing your 2nd op. This is really gonna finish off your hair nicely! any resolution with Hakan?
  6. and this is what I keep hearing from patients, it seems unnecessarily reckless. There is no rhyme or reason as to who will have shock loss and why and it if it will come back or if it won't. If you're going into a minaturized area you're playing with fire, it's like creating demand by causing the problem in the first place. I would hope this isn't what the clinics doing.
  7. Lorenzo is the master, what a fantastic result. congrats maltese. I'm just about to hit month 7 on my crown from Lorenzo and couldn't be happier with how it's coming along. Just saw this was an old bumped thread, still a great result but feel silly commenting on it now lol
  8. What makes it more interesting is that Dr Lorenzo and Dr Erdogan both use the coverage value system so they should both be getting similar numbers in terms of necessary grafts but the estimates are still miles apart. I can never get a straight answer on this either. I've heard from a couple patients on what they believe is the reason but the clinics never come out and said why.
  9. shave it down, get smp, stop being so dramatic. edit, I apologize for the tough love but you're working yourself up to sound like there is no solution and that you're never going to be happy and if you approach it from that mindset you won't be. If you're not going to keep down transplant road, if you hate it now, there is your out.
  10. This doc needs to have his approval voted on again, this is garbage work and horrible service to the patient. Let's cut the dead weight.
  11. so much for the doctor making all his past cases right. Still dodging and we're being questioned if we're being too hard on the doctor. Who else are we waiting to hear from, another couple brand new members to come in and vouch for him?
  12. It looks on the thin side to me so the question is how big a transplant are you hoping to go in for. You'd be best to get your head in front of a good doc and get properly assessed.
  13. Depends on the surgery type. if its fut Konior if its fue Lorenzo but Konior slides in just behind him.
  14. He's one of the few truly elite surgeons. Konior is never the wrong choice. It just comes down to if you have a preference for somebody else or if the wait is too long for you to wait but if he isn't a 1A option for most guys, he's not much further than 1B...he is that good.
  15. yes, they'll just continue to cycle, you'll probably notice it strengthen in a few months time and feel like other weakness has appeared. This is the downside of an op, even when it's done amazingly well, it's not native density, it's an illusion, when the hairs cycle there is always going to be a little bit of weakness appearing as it'll play with the illusion.
  16. the density isn't gone unless you lost a significant amount of natives since your op but after an op you get all those new hairs in their anagen phase, they all grow out together and you get to see the absolute best of your hair but then it becomes like the rest of your hair, and will go thru the telogen phase and just naturally look a little less full due to the cycle nature of hair but the transplanted hair isn't gone or any less dense. If anything it is probably stronger and healthier and more like your regular hair than at any point prior.
  17. I don't know what he's heard or not but I can tell you I've heard the Rahal fue horror stories as well, and talked to patients who have had botched fues on the forums so if he's making them up he's found a lot of people to play along and push the story along.
  18. You'll get varying opinions but imo Rahal is a good choice for fut I would not use him for fue. I think there are simply better fue options out there. Who I would say is better depends on your willingness to travel but you'll find better options within Canada, the US and Europe so how far are you willing to go
  19. Its a no from me for now as well. Its great that his quality of work is back up to his previous standards but until he makes things right with previous clients I don't think he should be anywhere near here. We had posts this year from clients saying they're trying to get in touch with the clinic to fix their botched works and the clinic was ignoring their calls. When they show they are making a good faith effort to make things right with clients they wronged coupled with results like the ones posted continuing then we should revisit the approval process.
  20. I had 2 fue ops, 1 with each Bisanga and Lorenzo, both had techs doing extractions.
  21. Dr Wesley is also worth a consult, his work looks great...I second the Feller/Bloxham recommendation as well.
  22. great result, looks totally natural up front and untouched in the donor. Couldn't ask for anything more.
  23. lmao I think Widow went to Mexico so he was dodging the Cartels and not Isis but I get what ya mean, world is cray outside Merica , those poor guys goin to India have to dodge Kali ma and the temple of doom people from Indiana Jones.... Nobody is in danger in a place like Chicago where Dr Konior is from lol
