  1. You can clearly tell that this operation made a big difference for this patient. That said, IMO it’s poor presentation when all of the before photos show the hairline pulled back to expose weaknesses, whereas all of the after photos show the hair combed and styled in a way that doesn’t fully display the hairline.
  2. He clearly states that he is suffering side effects from the fin and cannot continue taking it.
  3. Hi, did you create a thread about your HT? I’m of a similar age and possibly hairloss, just curious. Thx
  4. Shot in the dark …. Update?? hope you’re well
  5. I would also add that wavy donor hair augments the illusion of density.
  6. Sounds like he actually admitted to 3. Must’ve been FUEs, given how short he wears the back. Must have a phenomenal donor supply because it still looks thick back there.
  7. Looks great! can you elaborate on why the plan was changed from FUT to FUE at the last minute. Have seen this with a few patient-posted HW results on here lately … thx
  8. Damn, I’m sorry to hear this. I definitely feel for you, it seems your HT experience has been a pretty stressful one overall. have you reached out to Dr Bloxham about this? I’m sure his reply is “more time”
  9. I definitely wish him the best! and I hope he’s happy at this point. Sometimes people lose touch with the forum once they achieve results that allow them to move forward. Sometimes they lose touch because they are disappointed with their results and struggling to move forward. Either way it’s helpful to the community to be in the loop, and that in turn allows the community to support the individual. Hopefully for him it’s the former scenario.
  10. Looks like you’ve done your research, and I don’t have much to add that others haven’t already astutely pointed out. ILooks like you’ve done your research, and I don’t have much to add that others haven’t already astute be pointed out. I was wondering, however, If FUT was discussed with HW at all. I see you wrote FUE on your chart in regards to their consultation. As others have said, I think FUT is likely the better choice with your presentation and family history. I am curious because it seems HW are consistently recommending FUE or even switching the plan from FUT to FUE on the day of surgery, even in cases of advanced loss in young patients. And despite the fact that they have an extremely long track record of success with strip. I find this change in their practice potentially troubling, given the greater amount of money charged for FUE.
  11. Man, amazing result. Good for you! I’m curious as to how long you were on fin before your procedure, whether you’re still on it and if you’ve had to deal with any side effects. thx!
  12. Looking good. At your age, you should be all set into your 60s at the least! Good for you. You mentioned previously that you had switched from oral fin to topical min/fin because you were having some side effects? How long were you on oral fin? Did the sides resolve when you switched to topical? Any additional or new issues with sides while on the topical? And, does it seem as though you lost any ground switching from oral to topical? Finally, where did you obtain the topical solution and what % concentration of min/fin is in it? Thanks, and keep us updated on that crown! Good luck
  13. All that said, are all things equal? I know Gabel is well respected and has had some good results on here, but I don’t recall seeing quite as many truly stunning results as what konior has achieved.
  14. Your hairline and frontal third are an A+ now. Good for you, man. we have similar hair types, and if I ever pulled the trigger on a procedure, I’d want exactly what you ended up in terms of your hairline. as an aside, how’s it going with the fin? No issues?
  15. Thanks for all the extra info. How does the scarring look where the beard grafts were harvested from?
  16. Wow, truly a life altering result. congrats! I am curious as to what prompted you to have grafts placed into your FUT scar. Is the scar noticeable? Did it stretch? Do you want to wear your hair shorter? Are you worried that your loss will progress to the point that you may need to shave your head?
  17. Although I appreciate you sharing your anecdotal experience within your practice, and I am familiar with the published data, my personal opinion is that the incidence of side effects from oral fin is higher than 5%. There have also been a number of informal polls in this community that reflect this, although I acknowledge that that isn’t scientific data. Additionally, there IS scientific data that suggests that topical finasteride reduces serum/systemic DHT to a similar extent as oral finasteride. So it is not as simple as saying topical = no side effects. Not that this is what you’re specifically stating, but I feel that those who aren’t medically savvy and may be considering topical fin should be aware of that fact.
  18. Great starting point for your age. are you on fin?
  19. Don’t get me wrong. Not trying to be accusatory, if that’s how it sounded. Agree that the wet hair, combed back is a super honest illustration of the true state of things, both before and after. Si is a top down shot.
