  1. I had something similar to you :- 2 days of surgery (mainly using beard hair) 3rd day reported to the clinic to remove the dressing and get the hair washed 4th day onwards, no problems for wearing baseball cap.
  2. Good, but these are easy cases with patients who just have a slight amount of miniaturization. Let's see some more challenging cases with patients who are substantially bald.
  3. Yes, it is a realistic assessment of your condition but I think the percentage scalp hair will be less than proposed and the percentage beard hair will need to be increased. You have enough beard hair there to cover any contingency requirements.
  4. Yep.......I've had a few sessions and it's consistently been around 5 months for beard hairs to start sprouting through the scalp. I've also noticed that beard hairs quite often seem to have a "rest period" before continuing to grow out. Having said that, most of mine are transplanted into scar tissue so that might be having an effect.
  5. Beard hair definitely takes longer to activate - in my experience (and I've got plenty) the noticeable activity starts around the 5 - 6 months mark.
  6. It's very easy to control your weight and reverse weight gain. It's extremely difficult to control hair loss and reverse baldness.
  7. You're progressing very nicely - I think you're going to get a great result.
  8. Yes, I can sleep like a baby during a procedure and have been gulity of snoring on more than one occasion.
  9. Lol.......some of the worst results of all time have been from Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons dabbling in hair transplant surgery....I really don't care what they might say or think.
  10. A few points :- - Exchange controls vary from country to country - there are no hard and fast rules. - A lot of clinics will request payment (either full amount or a deposit) to be wired in advance (particularly for foreign patients) in which case you won't have any concerns with currency limits. - Sometimes the final graft count and total cost is unknown which may require a balance payment on the day. As an example, I have just had a third procedure done in a foreign country. In each case I requested the maximum number of grafts possible. They agreed to do a certain minimum number of grafts based on the photos. I wired the advance payment for the agreed minimum. The clinic were able to achieve more than the minimum number of grafts. I paid the balance costs in cash when the procedure was finished. Payment was made in USD (their preference) and not local currency. On my most recent procedure, the balance payment exceeded the cash I brought. I paid the shortfall using my credit card. There was no problem with this arrangement and I wasn't subject to any additional charges with the credit card.
  11. LOL.....all that fanfare and only 20 grafts by Piloscope
  12. Yes, I had my hormone levels checked about 4-5 months back and tested low for DHEA. I have been taking a DHEA supplement since then. I am also a long term user of finasteride. I haven't noticed any side effects since taking DHEA and certainly no problems with itchy scalp or increased hair loss. In fact I might stop taking finasteride from next year because I think my hair loss has run it's course.
  13. I wouldn't say I feel sorry for him and lets keep in perspective. Bale is a multi millionaire and is lucky enough to have options available if he wants to deal with his hair loss. It's up to him whether he wants to deal with it or not. Players in previous era's were not so lucky and didn't have the same options available.
  14. Yes, there's no doubt that Vitamin E helps in scar healing, but it also depends on the type of scar and how severe it is. Personally, I have found that using a combination of silicone sheet and micro needling with a dermapen give the best results for healing scar tissue.
  15. 1. The UK has never been in the Euro 2. Travel won't be any more difficult whether the UK is in or out of the European Union.
  16. The UK has rightly got a bad reputation due to slack regulations which allowed a lot of cowboys to operate in the HT industry. As a result many UK patients have been butchered over the years (myself included). I wouldn't say it is a problem nowadays - the internet is a game changer and most of the cowboys have been highlighted and weeded out. The internet also highlights that there are better surgeons available outside the UK giving better results at substantially less cost. That being the case, I can see little or no reason for anyone to get HT surgery in the UK. One other point, you also have to consider the expertise required. In my particular case, I needed specialized surgery to get my scars repaired using beard hair (and very happy with the results thanks). I seriously doubt there are any surgeons in the UK with the required skills, expertise and experience to perform large repair sessions using body hair.
  17. Yes, I've had a hair transplant (repair) and the hair was taken exclusively from the beard If you refer back to Harin's opening post you will see that he's had a hybrid transplant (mixture of scalp hair and beard hair) and several thousand grafts were taken from the beard. Beard hair is normally only used if there is insufficient capacity in the donor area or to repair scars from previous surgery.
  18. I didn't experience any major shedding when using Regenepure, but I stopped using it because I think it made my hair became thinner over a period of time. By the way, didn't you once recommend Pura d'or shampoo ? (might be mixing you up with someone else). If so, why did you change?
  19. Yeah, I agree with the comments about Eriksen - he was receding quite a bit before he joined Tottenham and it's obvious he's had some work done. On a side note, anyone else noticed how thin on top Juan Mata is these days? In the recent cup tie against Derby (when it was pouring with rain) it really showed the extent of his hair loss. He's going to have a big problem if he doesn't take action soon.
  20. Well I think you're doing just great.....especially when you consider you're starting point. In my experience it takes longer for beard hair to activate compared to scalp hair, so I think your well ahead of schedule.
