  1. As it was a trial, 20 was the maximum which was allowed given the state of the development thus far. I had to request it specifically, but I wanted to be involved in the process.
  2. Procedure was in the first week of January, and I've had my hair cut twice since. First haircut was in April I believe, it wasn't more than a few months where the hair was at about 1" in length. A bit thin at first but now it's fine.
  3. Hi all, Piloscope is still under development, so there is no per grafting price as of yet. Don't have any pics, but if you look at any FUE recipient, it is identical. The only difference is that the punctate scarring which would exist as a result of the FUE does not exist with the Piloscope. He does terrific recipient area work, however, and there are many examples on his website: NYC Hair Transplant | NY Hair Restoration - Dr. Carlos K. Wesley I got about 460 grafts, about 20 of which were done with the Piloscope, as it is still under development. The limitation is not with respect to range, but with respect to time. I was told that it took a few minutes per graft to ensure that it was lined up correctly. Of the grafts which were taken with the Piloscope, I am told that they were taken from all areas of the typical donor region.
  4. When my hairline recessions began getting pretty noticeable, I began looking into what my options were as far as restoration. Initially, I came across a lot of sites advertising their cost per graft, saying how they were the best deal etc... Honestly, the fact that they chose to focus on that aspect as a primary, and with such intensity, while spending a comparatively small amount of time on the process and quality of the actual procedure spoke volumes to me. I always held that if I was going to do a restoration procedure, I would have it done right by the best. Upon doing further research, I discovered that both of the commonly available procedures, FUT and FUE, left their different types of scarring, and so I decided to look into wether anyone had developed a scarless procedure. It was by this process that I discovered Dr. Wesley's innovative practice. I love innovators. Just in general. Pushing the human race forward and whatnot. Dr. Wesley is certainly no exception. He will spend plenty of time with you reviewing your specific case, and he will recommend what he thinks is best, even if that doesn't necessarily align with what you think you wanted. Where other doctors might just do what is requested, Dr. Wesley will take the time to explain to you why a certain idea may not actually be in your interest. I know I felt really hesitant going into all this, but when the day came to perform the procedure, I knew I could take comfort in the fact that I had chosen to go with one of the best in the world. The day of the procedure went very well. Dr. Wesley and his staff stressed the point that it was going to be an “easy day,” and it certainly was. I even woke up to a raspberry smoothie! Great touch! It is now a few months after the procedure, and the results are fantastic. There is no noticeable evidence of grafting in the recipient area, and I don’t notice any visible marks from the donor area either. It looks completely natural. Both Dr. Wesley and his staff take great pride in, and love what they do, and it shows. They do a world class job in making sure that the process is as quick, painless, and worry free as possible Dr. Wesley and his staff do fantastic, world class work. Compromises on quality are not made here, and everyone holds great sense of pride knowing this. Simply put, if you are looking for the best, then look no further. I thank them all very much for being the best at what they do. I would be happy to answer questions you guys may have.
